IDF - Israeli armed forces acquired a new batch weapons - software "Uzi Pro". After conducting comprehensive combat and technical tests, the IDF could not decide whether to use this submachine gun or not.

The Israeli company IMI, in order not to lose its leading position in the arms market of this segment, in 2010 began the pilot production of a new modification of Uzi software - Uzi Pro software. For the first time, the company introduced everyone to the latest modification at the end of 2003, at the eighth Paris arms exhibition MILIPOL.

The modification was based on an earlier modification of the submachine gun - software "Uzi Micro".
The layout scheme remained virtually unchanged. The ammunition store is inserted into the grip to control the fire. Automation, working on the recoil energy of the free-wheeling device also remained unchanged. The compactness of the submachine gun is ensured by a shutter raid in the production of a shot at a large part of the barrel.
The firing takes place with a closed shutter, both in bursts and single shots. The rate of fire remained low, about 700 shots per minute. The cocking handle was moved to the left side of the trunk box. A distinctive feature of the submachine gun - one of the integral parts of the trunk box is made of one product with a handle. This part is made of high-strength plastic alloys. Seats on a submachine gun made of high-strength plastic alloys, which are subject to increased loads, reinforced with special steel inserts. Behind the submachine gun has an attached shoulder rest made of light metal alloys. In a portable version, the emphasis is folded to the right, parallel to the trunk box, and if necessary, can serve as an additional front handle.
The submachine gun uses for the shooting of ammunition caliber 9x19-mm "Parabellum". The store has a direct box design. Shops are compatible with other modifications of software "Uzi". The design of the submachine gun allows you to use it both right-handed and left-handed.
To perform the aiming, the submachine gun is equipped with a front sight and a reversing diopter on 150 meters and 50 meters. A modern guide, “Picatinny rail”, on which additional equipment can be mounted, is installed on top of the trunk box, for example, night sight or telescopic sight, flashlight or laser designator.
The manufacturer does not report more precise technical data, explaining that the work on the modification has not yet been fully completed.
