But we wouldn’t allow ourselves to miss the competitions of the ABT Masters, which were held side by side, because we arrived in Ostrogozhsk on Sunday 7 of August to host the most spectacular and exciting part: the final team race.
Moreover, it was interesting, because this race decided who would be the winner of the competition, Russia or China. By the end of the team came what is called a bumper to the bumper.
A little about the organization. I can not say, because I had something to compare (with last year), I was impressed.
Ostrogozhsk - an old town with a very long history. But small. And the events of such a plan do not occur more than once in ... I do not know how many years. Rarely, in short. And the public has turned the competition into a holiday for everyone, but in a very original way. Each settlement of the district (who wanted and could) arranged something like a stand of its town.

These lovely grannies sang Russian folk songs unaccompanied so that only an absolutely deaf could pass by.
And in each compound everyone was offered a treat according to traditional recipes. Since we arrived very early, I allowed myself to be distracted from the performance of immediate duties and to taste something. Uryvka dumplings together with something from a pumpkin (the name forgot that I ate - I did not understand, like chowder, but yummy) and mead ... In short, not in vain.
There were a lot of spectators. Filled all the stands, despite the + 37 in the shade. On the landfill, as last year, they did not carry, a huge screen was mounted on which everything was broadcast. With comments. No worse than biathlon.
The participants. Russia, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, China. The Belarusians did not come this time. Instead of them, another Russian team, from DOSAAF, performed outside the standings.

The track was a concrete at first, on which there were "snake", "eight", overpass, climbs, high-speed sections. Then the mud area and special stages with obstacles. Firing line, where drivers fired from a machine gun.
