Armored Renault AMC 6x6

Renault Trucks Defense, a renowned French company, introduced the middle-class AMC (Armored Multirole Carrier) multi-purpose armored personnel carrier for use by the armed forces participating in the most challenging and changing conditions. The machine has excellent strategic and tactical mobility, a high level of protection (ballistic, mine, from improvised explosive devices and has an RPG protection kit), a large payload and internal volume sufficient to accommodate soldiers in full uniform or any necessary systems for solving tasks .

Renault AMC 6x6 is a 20-ton multipurpose armored vehicle designed for the transport of infantry and accommodation weapons (mortar, gun, etc.). The basic version of the AMC 6х6 has the main combat weight of 18-23 tons, can carry a payload from 6,5 to 10,5 tons. On the basis of AMC, it is planned to create a whole family of 6x6 and 8x8 vehicles, such as an armored personnel carrier, an infantry fighting vehicle, a reconnaissance vehicle, a command post, a medical vehicle, a fire support vehicle, an artillery observation post, a radio-bio-chemical reconnaissance vehicle, mine clearance, etc. . This highly mobile machine allows you to install various protective kits depending on the tasks to be performed. It has a fourth level of protection under NATO standards, with the possibility of increasing to the fifth.

The car is equipped with a Renault DXi 6 11-cylinder diesel engine with emission that corresponds to EuroV with maximum power 460 hp and maximum torque 2151 Nm, allowing it to reach speed in 100 km / h and power reserve at 90 km / h in 700 km .

It is possible to install various weapons systems on the machine, for example, a grenade launcher, a mortar or a remote-controlled weapon console. The Eurosatory 2008 showcased the version with the UT 30 console from Elbit Systems, equipped with an automatic 30-mm cannon and two anti-tank missiles.

Surprisingly, there are no loopholes, the crew and the troops are "blind kittens", the view from the crew and the landing, when the personnel is in a combat position, is outrageously limited.

Owl If you look at all the Western models of armored personnel carriers or infantry fighting vehicles or MRAP there are generally no loopholes for landing.
they believe (and not baselessly) that the effectiveness of the fire of shooters in movement through the loopholes is zero.

And if the enemy immobilizes this armored minibus? Will the combat module blow? Will they just sit and wait when they are fried?

Guys, what’s up to you, this is essentially an auxiliary platform whose task is to replace the old Mrara BRDM staff machines and so on, the only thing we need to learn from the West and I always said this and I will say we do the best equipment in the world, but it’s uncomfortable to learn from them, as well as a feast and bothering industrial design, these are our tasks.

I also thought at first that the driver was watching TV, then I noticed that they looked like periscopes on the roof - a question arose, but what was visible in them? It’s almost half a meter to the edge of the cockpit, so it’s impossible to see under the nose, all the same, it should stare at the screen ...

I agree with Renault Logan is similar. Better Renault to stamp cars and not to get into armored vehicles. There Logan will not give a ride.
