Russian Helicopters at Le Bourget Showroom

16
This week in France passes the international aerospace show Paris Air Show 2015. During this event, all the leading enterprises of the world will present their new developments. Russian aviation industry is represented by several organizations, including the Russian Helicopters holding. The holding’s stand will present various developments, both already known to potential customers, and new ones, information about which appeared relatively recently.

The central elements of the exposition of "Helicopters of Russia" should be several new helicopters. The holding hopes to interest potential buyers with its new developments and in the future to sell a certain amount of equipment. Specialists and the public will be able to familiarize themselves with the new Russian developments in the field of helicopter building in the exhibition pavilion No.2 at the C-198 stand.

Holding "Helicopters of Russia" wants not only to sell their products, but also to develop cooperation with foreign colleagues. The organization’s press service cites the words of the Director General of Russian Helicopters, Alexander Mikheev, who believes that the exchange of knowledge and experience between various enterprises in the industry leads to an increase in the functional efficiency and safety of promising technology. Thus, it is planned to expand cooperation with other organizations of the industry, thereby making the most effective use of their and others' experience.

According to the press service of Russian Helicopters, the current exhibition at Le Bourget places particular emphasis on several new domestic-made helicopters. This is a heavy transport helicopter Mi-26Т2, as well as medium Ka-32-X11BC and Mi-171-X2. All these machines, according to the holding, are able to attract the attention of foreign customers and become the subject of new export contracts.

A worthy addition to the line of domestic-made heavy helicopters is the new Mi-26Т2. Serial construction of these machines started in May of this year. Mi-26Т2 is a further development of the Mi-26Т helicopter, which is already well known to domestic and foreign customers. While preserving the main positive qualities of the predecessors, the new Mi-26Т2 has a number of important advantages. So, due to the use of modern avionics, it was possible to reduce the crew. Instead of 5, a new helicopter can fly a 2-3. Also, the new equipment allows the helicopter to fly at night and in adverse weather conditions. In addition, the project is designed with the possibility of long-term autonomous basing. In most cases, the maintenance of the Mi-26Т2 does not require special aerodrome equipment.

Having a number of advantages over the base Mi-26T, the new modification of the heavy domestic helicopter retains the main positive features. The maximum load capacity remained at the same level: in the cargo compartment or on the external sling, up to 20 tons of payload can be transported. According to the flight characteristics, the Mi-26T and the Mi-26Т2 are almost the same.

The second “highlight of the program” at the stand of the Russian helicopter-building holding is the multipurpose Ka-32-X11BC. This machine is not new, since the first export contracts for its supply appeared in the late nineties. Nevertheless, the Ka-32А11BC helicopter is still of great interest for foreign and domestic customers. The similar equipment in versions for performance of various tasks was delivered to Spain, China, Portugal, Japan and other countries. Also, a certain number of such machines are operated in Russia.

The Ka-32А11BC helicopter is intended for transportation of various cargoes in the cabin and on the external load, for participation in search and rescue operations, etc. Depending on the current task, such a machine can carry up to 5 tons of cargo. The coaxial rotor scheme provides a number of important advantages over the helicopters of the classical scheme, from smaller parking dimensions to high maneuverability. Also, the manufacturer notes the high designated resource of the helicopter - 32 thousand hours. All these features have already allowed the Ka-32A11BC to be subject to several contracts. In the future, the construction and supply of such equipment is expected to continue.

Also in Le Bourget, Russian Helicopters will show a new version of the Mi-171А2 helicopter. This car was previously demonstrated at various exhibitions, but it is at the Paris Air Show 2015 that it is planned to show a new modification. At the stand of the Russian holding there is a model of the helicopter Mi-171А2 in the configuration of VIP-transport. Thus, the number of variants of such equipment available for order is constantly increasing.

An experienced Mi-171А2 helicopter has been tested since last fall. At the moment, all checks are coming to an end, after which it will be possible to deploy mass production in the interests of various customers. The Mi-171А2 is a further development of the Mi-8 / 17 family, but it has a lot of differences from the older technology. Due to the increased flight performance and new digital on-board equipment, the Mi-171-2 helicopter is expected to be able to solve various tasks related to the transport of goods or passengers. The creation of various modifications, differing in the configuration of the cargo-passenger cabin and other elements, should expand the scope of application of such equipment.

It is expected that a demonstration of developments at the salon in Le Bourget will allow new potential customers to be interested, resulting in new contracts for the supply of Russian-made helicopters. The appearance of new contracts, in turn, will have a positive effect on the load of enterprises that are part of the Russian Helicopters holding, and will have other positive consequences. At the same time, the organization is already showing good performance indicators.

In mid-April, Russian Helicopters published data on the financial side of their operations in 2014. The total revenue of the holding last year exceeded 141,5 billion rubles, the total profit - 20,7 billion. It is noteworthy that the increase in profits compared to 2013 for the year was 118,6%, revenue increased by 23%, and EBITDA - by 79%. The share of orders from Asian countries also increased. In the Asian markets, last year Russian Helicopters earned almost 73 billion rubles (in 2013 - 45,42 billion).

Nevertheless, there was a serious (32,4%) reduction in the portfolio of firm orders. Also, the financial indicators, calculated in rubles, were positively affected by currency fluctuations that began last year. Thus, with the deterioration of some indicators and the improvement of others, the holding company “Helicopters of Russia” as a whole maintains its position in the market.

As part of the Paris Air Show 2015 aerospace show in Le Bourget, the Russian Helicopters holding company plans to show various designs, including several new cars. The main focus is on the Mi-26Т2, Ka-32-X11BC and Mi-171-2 helicopters. It is expected that the display of this equipment in the French salon in the near future will lead to the beginning of negotiations, and then to the signing of contracts for the production and supply of such equipment. The stand of Russian Helicopters, where everyone will be able to familiarize themselves with the latest developments of the holding, will work until the end of the salon - until June 21.

that the army calls him a "cow" Why?

A cow is not a cow, and no one else could create anything like it. MI-26 is a helicopter era.
But leadership in helicopter engineering cannot be handed over to us in any way.

When overloaded or for the sake of fuel economy, they do not take off vertically, but accelerate on take-off by lifting their tail in airplane mode (bottom view of a take-off helicopter and gave rise to this nickname) + MI-26 gas turbine engine during take-off with maximum load produces a characteristic sound - MUUUUU!
In general, they say that in Afghanistan they called the Mi-8 "cows".

PYSYA - comrade, only with helicopter pilots these nicknames do not need to be used, harsh people can be offended.

In the photo (clickable) - I caught carrying to the family, everything to the house - everything to the house ...

I wish good luck to the Russian Helicopters holding on the world market. Still, I would like all the novelties of excellent domestic helicopters to be operated in Russia, to strengthen the defense and civilian departments

All this is good, but I would like to hear plans to solve many long-standing problems of our helicopter industry:
    1. Launch of the Ka-60,62, Mi-38, Mi-34s1 series
    2. Creation of a machine of a 10-ton payload class (Mi-6). No plans are heard.
    3. The creation of its engines for the same Ka-226, which could also be placed on single-engine light helicopters, the same Mi-34.

Mi-17 is a bit heavy for business class, where the Ka-62 would be better suited.

The RACHEL project (Russian Advanced Commercial Helicopter) according to Kommersant. The Helicopter Industry application a year ago will be reoriented. Instead of ultra-high-speed characteristics, priority will be given to economic efficiency and environmental friendliness with a payload of 10 - 12 tons. When the first prototype will fly request ?

In addition to the American and French, the Ukrainian turboshaft engines AI-226 ZMKB "Progress" im. A.G. Ivchenko and domestic VK-800 of Klimov OJSC.
When will the tests of VK-800 be completed and mass production will be established request ?
A bit of positive bully .
A photograph of the new Ka-226T helicopter, built by OJSC Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise (KumAPP), has appeared, and has already flown overflights at the OJSC Kamov flight test base near Moscow. The helicopter is still unpainted, has the side number "242" and is the second serial copy of the Ka-226T modification.

      Mi-38
Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of November 15, 2014 No. 1213 provided for the following financing of the Mi-38 project for 2015: 239,7 million rubles. from the federal budget and 587,1 million rubles. from extrabudgetary sources - only 826,8 million rubles. At the same time, the expected results of the work in 2015 were the certification of a helicopter, obtaining a type certificate and the sale of six machines.
Last year, the Kazan Helicopter Plant, which is part of the Russian Helicopters holding, completed the production of the fourth prototype OP-4 of the Mi-38 helicopter, which was connected to the certification flight tests. However, it became clear that it was impossible to achieve the planned results with the planned amount of funding. According to the draft new decree, additional financing in 2015 for the final stage of work on the creation of the Mi-38 is determined in the amount of 1,883 billion rubles, that is, the total amount of financing will be 2,7098 billion rubles (an increase of 3,3 times), moreover, from funds federal budget 1,4748 billion rubles. (an increase of 6,2 times), and from extra-budgetary sources - 1,235 billion rubles. (growth by 2,1 times).
The reasons for the increase in required funding were the need to manufacture two additional prototypes of the TV7-117 engine for certification tests, as well as the need for a number of additional bench and flight tests of the helicopter in accordance with the toughened requirements of the IAC and EASA.
To ensure certification of the helicopter in the planned time period, it was decided not to distract the prototypes of the Mi-38-2 OP-1, OP-3 and OP-4 helicopter from flight tests, but to test the helicopter drive mechanism and control system, convert the Mi-38 helicopter, on which RW-127/5 engines were installed, in the Mi-38-2 version with TV7-117V engines.
In addition, the calculations and tests showed that the tail rotor installed on the Mi-38 prototypes is not effective enough when flying in high altitude and elevated temperatures. To eliminate flight restrictions, the development of a new optimized tail rotor is required.
Finally, to ensure mass production of the Mi-38 helicopter according to modern regulatory requirements, the design and operational documentation, which is currently made on paper, must be converted to digital 3D format.

      Ka-62
The already mentioned resolution No. 1213 provided for the financing of the Ka-62 project in 2015 in the amount of 1,0528 billion rubles, including 515,5 million rubles. from the federal budget and 537,3 million rubles. from extrabudgetary sources. The results of 2015 indicated the carrying out of resource tests of helicopter assemblies, the development of working design documentation, the work to expand the type certificate and the sales volume of 29 aircraft.
The Ka-62 program also required additional funding, but not as large as the Mi-38. In accordance with the draft new resolution, its total volume will amount to 1,7066 billion rubles. (an increase of 62,1%), including budget financing - 940,5 million rubles. (an increase of 82,4%), extrabudgetary funding - 766,1 million rubles. (an increase of 42,5%).
To date, two prototypes of the Ka-62 have been manufactured, the first flight as part of the certification flight tests was planned in April 2015, but there was no information about it at the time the number was signed in print.
The main reason for the delay was the technical difficulties associated with the development of a control system for general helicopter equipment (SUOVO), which is installed on a helicopter for the first time in the world.
In addition, additional work was required to create the necessary optional equipment in order to ensure the competitiveness of the Ka-62 helicopter, the development and manufacture of a stand-up simulation Ka-62, as well as the manufacture of an additional third flight model. According to the new draft resolution, certification of the Ka-62 is planned to be completed in December 2016.

Against this background, Rosneft’s purchase of AW189 for $ 3000000000 looks extremely sad for dubious political benefits.

The Ka-32A11BC is especially good! The view is brutal and brutal. Kamovites need to develop their unique family of coaxial machines! If I’m not mistaken, nobody else makes them co-aligners.

About the 10-ton class. The plans were in the 90s. This is a MI-46 helicopter with a lifting capacity of 10-12 tons. MI-38 - almost "stepping on his heels" - 6-7 tons.
