Russia at the exhibition of weapons and equipment IDEX-2015

22 February in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) held a solemn opening ceremony of the international exhibition of weapons and military equipment IDEX-2015. For the twelfth time, the Middle Eastern state invites manufacturers and operators of weapons and equipment who wish to show and see the latest developments. During and after the exhibition, numerous contracts will be signed for the supply of one or another military product. The exhibition will run until February 26.

As one of the largest such events in the world, the IDEX-2015 exhibition has quite remarkable figures. This year, 12 pavilions and open-air grounds with a total area of about 35 thousand square meters. m housed the stands and expositions of 1100 organizations from 52 countries of the world. So, taking advantage of their position, a rather large exposition was presented by companies from the UAE. In addition, at the IDEX-2015 exhibition there are stands of all leading manufacturers of weapons and equipment. According to the organizers, Russia is represented at the exhibition by 47 companies. Our enterprises show a total of 737 various exhibits, including approximately one hundred real samples. weapons and technology. The Russian defense industry is represented by various organizations producing a wide variety of products, from small arms to rocket complexes.

This time, within the framework of the IDEX-2015 exhibition, two similar events are planned to be held on a smaller scale and characterized by a narrow focus. Simultaneously with the “big” exhibition, NAVDEX and UMEX events are held. The first of them is devoted to new products in the field of military shipbuilding, and the second is a mini-exhibition of unmanned aerial vehicles. In addition, the IDEX-2015 exhibition will traditionally become a venue for various meetings, conferences, etc. events. Not forgotten and demonstration of technology on the ground and in the air.

Like other exhibitions, IDEX-2015 is of great interest for Russian manufacturers of weapons and equipment, because it allows them to demonstrate their products to potential buyers, resulting in new supply contracts. Deputy General Director of Rosoboronexport Igor Sevastyanov notes that the current exhibition should contribute to the development of military-technical cooperation between Russia and the Middle Eastern countries. Russian enterprises are gradually restoring contacts with the countries of the region, and demonstration of their developments to representatives of these and other countries will not be superfluous.

Recently, the Russian defense industry was able to restore cooperation with Egypt and Iraq, which had previously ceased for political and other reasons. There are close ties with other states of the Middle East. In addition, according to Sevastyanova, Russia is interested in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait. The current exhibition can be the impetus for the beginning of the development of cooperation with these countries.

In the early days of the exhibition, the leaders of domestic defense enterprises announced several News about plans for the future and features of doing business. So, the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, said that some of the organizations that are part of the corporation are ready to perform an IPO, but will not do so yet. The Russian Helicopters, Schwabe and Radioelectronic Technologies corporations can already carry out their first public sale of shares, but so far they consider such a step inappropriate due to the current economic situation. Officials see no reason to sell at a low price that costs much more. For this reason, in particular, S. Chemezov does not exclude that Rostec corporations will not conduct IPOs and their shares will be acquired by interested parties. This issue has already been discussed with representatives of the UAE.

February 22 management of the Kalashnikov concern spoke about its plans to acquire other enterprises in order to expand the list of products. The concern has completed negotiations on the purchase of controlling stakes in ZALA Aero and Euroyachting - Rybinsk Shipyard. The first deals with the development of unmanned aerial vehicles, the second with the construction of boats, etc. technology. Specialists of the Kalashnikov concern and the ZALA Aero company incorporated into its structure will be engaged in the development of new unmanned aerial vehicles and auxiliary equipment intended for conducting reconnaissance. In the future, it is possible to expand the range of products. The company “Euroyachting - Rybinsk Shipyard” is acquired with similar goals. By 2020, the Kalashnikov concern intends to deploy a comprehensive development, construction and maintenance of military and civilian boats throughout its service life. New products will be manufactured and marketed under the Kalashnikov brand.

However, so far the main products of the Kalashnikov concern are small arms of several types. Recently, the concern has encountered some difficulties of a political and economic nature, but the management of the company is taking measures to remedy the situation. Last year, a number of foreign countries imposed sanctions on several Russian enterprises, including the Kalashnikov concern. This significantly affected the supply of its products: about 80% of sales was lost, since the bulk of civilian weapons was supplied to the United States. To remedy the situation, the concern is going to actively promote products in new markets. First of all, it is the Asia-Pacific region and Africa. The most interesting potential customers are India and Egypt. In addition, negotiations are underway with South American states.

Continuing the theme of small arms, it is impossible not to note one of the exhibits on display at the stand of the Tula Instrument Engineering Design Bureau (KBP). While all small arms are demonstrated on special stands and stands, one of the samples was placed in a water-filled aquarium. This “Automatic two-medium special” - ADS. This weapon is first demonstrated outside of Russia. The ADF machine gun is designed to equip special units that require small arms for firing under water and in the air. To ensure two-medium operation, the machine has a switch of modes of the vapor-operated mechanism, and can also use several types of ammunition. For shooting in the air it is proposed to use standard cartridges 5,45x39 mm. To hit targets under water, a special cartridge was created in the KBP, which is not different from the standard in size, but equipped with an elongated bullet. In addition, the ADS machine can be equipped with a grenade launcher.

Also for the first time at a foreign exhibition, a soldier’s combat outfit “Warrior” is shown. The composition of this kit includes about 60 elements, from clothing and footwear to weapons and communications. In the presented configuration, the “Warrior” equipment has the Sagittarius reconnaissance, communications and control complex, designed to significantly increase the effectiveness of the combat work of each soldier and the entire unit as a whole. In addition, the demonstrated set of equipment includes a new body armor that can withstand several hits from a SVD rifle from a distance of 10 m.

Another foreign “premiere show” is the self-propelled anti-tank missile system “Chrysanthemum-S”, which for the first time is shown abroad in the form of a real model. A combat vehicle built on the BMP-3 chassis carries several guided missiles and is capable of hitting armored vehicles or enemy fortifications at distances up to 6 km. The missiles of the complex have a combined guidance system. To control them can be used radio command system or laser guidance equipment. Due to this, the complex can operate in different weather conditions and at different times of the day, and is also able to attack two targets simultaneously.

Uralvagonzavod Corporation brought a new modification of the main one to Abu Dhabi tank T-90SM, designed specifically for the countries of the Middle East and created taking into account the climate of this region. The main innovations of this modification are a set of air conditioners and other equipment designed to ensure comfortable crew work. In addition, the power plant has been modified, which can now operate at high temperatures without loss of power. Some refinement of the weapons complex has been carried out. In particular, due to the hot climate, the new version of the T-90SM tank must be equipped with a barrel bend sensor. A high-explosive fragmentation projectile with a blast in the air has been introduced into the range of ammunition. The new project is fully completed. Tanks T-90SM in the "Middle East" configuration can go into production in the very near future, immediately after signing the corresponding contract.

Russian specialists are developing new equipment and weapons not only independently, but also in cooperation with foreign companies. At IDEX-2015, the Enigma wheeled armored personnel carrier developed by Emirates Defense Technology (UAE) is demonstrated for the first time. The machine is equipped with a combat module "Bakhcha", created by Tula KBP. In this configuration, the new BTR can attack targets with the 100-mm gun-launcher, 30-mm automatic cannon or 7,62-mm machine gun. In the future, a new modification of the Enigma machine may appear, equipped with another combat module developed by Uralvagonzavod Corporation. The main feature of this module is its main weapon - the automatic gun caliber 57 mm. Uninhabited combat module with such a weapon should significantly increase the firepower of modern and promising armored vehicles when attacking vehicles that have protection against artillery systems of caliber to 25-30 mm. Currently, EDT and Uralvagonzavod specialists are working to integrate the new combat module into the Enigma BTR equipment.

The main result of the exhibitions of weapons and equipment is the signing of contracts for the supply of such products. As it became known, in the near future a contract may appear for the supply of X-NUMX Mi-12 helicopters to the Republic of Belarus. The Belarusian side expressed a desire to purchase helicopters in a civil configuration. Already reached a preliminary agreement. The delivery contract may be signed as soon as possible.

The international exhibition of weapons and military equipment IDEX-2015 will complete its work 26 February. Within a few days, more than 1100 exhibiting companies, including 47 Russian organizations, should demonstrate to potential customers all of their latest developments. According to the results of the exhibition, negotiations between future buyers and suppliers of military products should start soon. How many contracts will be signed thanks to the exhibition IDEX-2015 - time will tell.

The main distinguishing feature of this module is its main weapon - an automatic gun of 57 mm caliber.

Serious gun. This is not 30 mm. like most armored vehicles around the world. An armor-piercing projectile from such a caliber will flush any light armored vehicles of the enemy, even from serious distances. Or immobilize potential targets if they fall into the rinks.

For 57mm, APFSDS shells are created with tungsten or uranium. South Africa has washed the use of such shells. When accurately hit the right part of the tank can be deadly. And so on the battlefield there is little 57mm

Fairy tales for children. T-72s in Iraq were knocked out mainly from airplanes, helicopters, abrams and BT with the TOW ATGM. No 30mm bullet at a distance of over 1-1,5 km will cause the T-72 tank anything bad. Maximum can penetrate surveillance devices or pokotsat trunk. And then, if you are very lucky, for the dispersion of shells at such a distance is a wild turn.

Azerbaijan bought a few more cars, but this is a more political contract. Nobody will buy more t-90! By the way, the Omsk plant producing t-80y is owned by UVZ. nothing prevents setting up its release at any site, profit will still go to the owners of UVZ, but the stubborn swagger of UVZshnikov probably does not allow ?!

Why is the "warrior" presented only with AK12? Why is the KORD automatic machine being pushed into the corner? if Rogozin lobbyists interfere with putting it into service with the Russian Army, then by selling it on the foreign market (and those who bought it took its advantages and won world recognition, the Ministry of Defense would have nothing to do but admit its possible mistake. And the fact that the sold weapons at any moment can be turned against Russia, he probably did not realize. Defense export is the same customer of armaments as everyone else, including the Moscow Region. The question here is that they are still trying to realize the principle of unprofitable defense enterprises. What would the enterprises exist regardless of the orders of the Moscow Region, or do you think hard workers are working at the factories for thanks and are just waiting for alms?

Kalashs (civilians) are the most popular weapon in America. Before the sanctions, they were literally swept off the "counters".

In some states, where strict licensing of weapons for the population has not yet been introduced, Kalash can still be bought by hand.
Last year, at the flea market (Flee market), I came across a Kalashnikov machine gun (model 66) for only 550 green ones. The old truth and the Bulgarian manufacturing company, but the thing is still nice!
