Vision "Predator" in the arsenal of the army

The desire to be able to see well in the dark led mankind to the invention of devices and devices that contribute to an increase in the resolving power of vision for a confident orientation in space, the ability to avoid danger.

All well-known night vision devices used to enhance the light available at night: the light of the moon, lanterns, and some ground objects that could be sources of light.

The devices were used for military purposes, then they were armed with hunters, tourists, drivers.

The urgent need for an instrument to “see” in the dark has intensified scientific research in the field of electronics and optics. The result of more than seven years of work by Optics1 employees was the creation of a fundamentally new device that significantly expands the capabilities of existing night-vision devices by connecting the thermal vision capability, COTI. Conventional NVD expands the range of visible light for the human eye to 900 nanometers, but when using COTI, the range increases to an unseen value up to 8-5 nanometers, allowing observations in absolute darkness and in the absence of light sources.

This unique device is immediately adopted by the security forces. After all, often the life and the performance of the task by the servicemen are connected with the need to act at night or inside unlit rooms.

Using the latest model of NVD makes it easy to navigate in the smoke-filled space, with fog and rain. Since the principle of COTI operation is based on the search and amplification of thermal radiation, it is quite difficult to fool it. For example, it can be used to detect the traces of people left on the ground and objects, including even explosive devices.

A convenient design solution of the device (the weight of which is 165 grams, and the period of work without charging is three hours) allows using it in extreme combat conditions. Improved ability to customize the image that generates the device: not only adjusts the brightness and contrast, but also the color of the display.

Of course, having such indicators and characteristics, the device will find wide application not only in the military industry, but will also become a good assistant to rescue services, including firefighters, who in conditions of dense smoke can save more than one human life.

The direction of future developments will be the use of the COTI device as a night sight. weapons.

The machine is just what you need, only it’s fun in the search engine to look for who the manufacturer is, which army was adopted, and so on.
