Should I wait for the rearmament of the Russian army?
After the arms exhibition ended in Nizhny Tagil, information began to appear actively in the press that a new tank could appear in 2015 - a fourth-generation armored car. In addition, the military department declares that for 6-7 years, starting in 2014, Russian ground forces will face large-scale rearmament. Thanks to him tank the park should be updated by more than 70%.
Today, such statements do not look somewhat utopian, because with active financing, the production capacities of the Russian defense industry are actually at the limit of their capabilities. Already, a major modernization of existing models of tanks. It is planned that the T-72 tank will be equipped with the latest navigation systems and instruments, allowing to fight in conditions of poor visibility. Speaking about the fact that the T-72 can already be considered obsolete, the military respond as follows: the T-72 tank has not lost its relevance today and in many ways outperforms foreign analogues. In this regard, it is well equipped with new means of guidance and communication, and its resource will be seriously increased.
The plans of the Ministry of Defense to supply the troops and upgraded T-80 and T-90. These machines will also undergo refinement, thanks to which electronic navigation systems, digital communications and a convenient all-round view system will appear on board. For obvious reasons, the tank, whose module for the crew was appreciated even by Prime Minister Putin, will not remain aside. It is about the T-90С tank presented at the Nizhny Tagil exhibition.
However, new armored vehicles, such as the T-95 and T-99, may well enter service with the tank forces approximately already before the 2020 year. For all the positives, however, we should not forget that in our country any good undertakings can unexpectedly suddenly rest against the walls of bureaucracy and corruption. Let's not forget that the Ministry of Defense has already managed to discredit itself by disrupting the signing of billion-dollar contracts for the purchase of new aircraft. Therefore, we spit over the left shoulder and hopefully that the situation with tanks and other armored vehicles will be much more positive than the situation with airplanes and helicopters.
For greater confidence in the implementation of the plans, it would not be superfluous to organize a kind of public control. In other words, you need to carefully monitor where the huge amounts of money allocated by the state for the procurement of weapons will actually go. Without public control, the hour is not even, and the money will again settle on some far from Russian accounts. Or, at the same time, the army will again remain with the rusty technique of the sixties, which will be issued for modernized after enameling with green enamel. At the same time, the number of floors in the country houses of Russian generals may suddenly rise again ...
