REA-2011 totals

Just a few days ago, the eighth international exhibition of armaments RUSSIAN EXPO ARMS - 2011, which was held in Nizhny Tagil, ended. In addition to weapons at the exhibition were presented ammunition and military equipment. Total participated about 300 enterprises from all over Russia. There were more foreign guests than ever, around 400 representatives from 40 countries, and 20 companies from five countries showed their products. None of the previous exhibitions gathered more press representatives - 650 journalists from 145 media.

The nature of the exhibits was emphasized by one of the phrases of the motto: “Offensive innovative policy of enterprises”. The general director of the local metal testing institute, Valery Rudenko, said that the nomenclature of exhibition samples had significantly expanded, in particular, through the products of the rocket industry.

An armored car was shown to everyone on the proving ground. "Lynx",

armored car "Tiger-M",

self-propelled anti-aircraft installations "Tunguska M1"

и "Buk-M2E",

long-range anti-aircraft missile system С400,

as well as operational tactical missile system "Iskander M".

For the first time, an anti-tank missile system was shown at the exhibition. "Chrysanthemum-S"

and Terminator, a support combat vehicle tanks.

The new, fundamentally different from the other vehicles, the unit of high maneuverability on tracks was introduced by the Vityaz enterprise. It is possible to use it both in military operations and for peaceful purposes, wherever there are great difficulties with the traffic.

Russian developments are fully capable of competing with foreign counterparts. For example, wheeled armored personnel carrier BTR-82A

According to experts, the Russian motorized rifle divisions and similar NATO units can equalize.

"Tiger-M" is equipped with an engine that meets the standard "Euro-4", the system of protection against weapons mass destruction. The armored car “Lynx”, the brainchild of Russian-Italian friendship, is capable of patrolling and escorting on the territory of hostilities. The principle of "safety capsules", which organized the internal space of the machine, helps to effectively protect the life of the crew. More than a dozen states already have such armored cars in service. Finally, he came to Russia.

T-90 riveted everyone's attention

The main highlight of the exhibition, its most interesting exhibit, was the tank T-90С. Viewers saw how he easily overcomes a water barrier, rushes past at full speed and shoots in flight, jumping on a springboard. Noise, crashing, burning targets - the spectacle is very colorful and unforgettable.

The upgraded version of the tank differs from its predecessors by the presence of a guided missile, which is capable of firing at a distance of 5 km. The tank mass is increased, which is now equal to 48 tons, and still it is much lighter than the similar Americans and Germans. The new engine allows you to reduce fuel consumption, at the same time it is more powerful than the previous model and is quite comparable in power with foreign analogues. And the established steering wheel control significantly reduces the load on the driver. To improve the comfort of the crew even provides air conditioning. The T-90 is capable of speeding up to 60 km / h on the highway. To improve maneuverability, a rear-view camera and a combined night vision device were installed on the tank.

The developers say that this tank is a new stage in the development of Russian tank construction. The possibilities of fire destruction, protection against most anti-tank weapons, high mobility and a reliable life support system - all this suggests that T-90С is much better than its predecessors. T-90C - "tank soldier": reliable and versatile.

The visit of Vladimir Putin

Visited the exhibition of weapons and the Prime Minister. With great interest, Vladimir Putin examined the new military equipment: an unmanned aircraft, an armored Ural truck, as well as a modified T-90C. After watching the video praising the tank, Putin could not resist getting into the cockpit, which he did, assessing the degree of comfort and testing the tank control system.

Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said that the tank exists in a single copy, and for military needs will be purchased modernized T-72, almost the same in performance, but twice cheaper.

Using the example of T-90C, Vladimir Putin said that this technique is Russia's pride, and since the defense-industrial complex has such scientific, personnel and production potential, special attention will be paid to its development. A serious statement was made - 64 billion rubles or more 2 billion dollars will be allocated from the state budget. Experts say that this will be a great opportunity for the domestic military industry to make a serious breakthrough that will allow us to continue to hold the palm in the production of the most modern combat equipment. All these subsidies will go to the development of "Uralvagonzavod", which today produces the most modern domestic tanks - Т90С.

Alas, over the past years, Uralvagonzavod practically did not receive large orders and fulfilled only small orders of foreign companies. As a result, it was a waste - for 2009 a year its revenue amounted to 36,2 billion rubles. Thus, the net loss of the company amounted to more than 7 billion rubles. Practically the same tendency was preserved in 2010, and only state subsidies in the amount of 28 billion rubles made it possible to correct the situation a little. Therefore, the specialists of the company have placed many hopes on receiving subsidies in the amount of 64 billion rubles. This will allow not only to pay off debts, but also to carry out a number of upgrades at the plant.

Results of the exhibition

Nizhny Tagil proving ground "Staratel", where the exhibition was held, will become the main federal platform for demonstrating the capabilities of military equipment. In addition to the visit of the Prime Minister, the exhibition was marked by the presentation of many new products, the main star was the modern T-90С tank.

The exhibition was even more successful than expected by the organizers. And, although the information about the concluded contracts was not disclosed, the information that 11 states were interested in the new domestic tank was announced.

Photos of other exhibits are presented below.

If there is money for the re-equipment with the new BMP-3, this is wonderful, but if they don’t find the money, then putting the module and hanging up the armor is still better than using the original with a 73-mm thunder gun.

Dear author, where have you read such a .....!
It’s just that the video did not say that in the event of a breakdown, the engine of the American analogue changes in 35 minutes, and the same operation for the T-90S can be carried out only in three days.
You have seen enough American videos about their much-praised Abrams. I explain to you. It took place in Iraq. The American engine changes only at the factory. Within 1 day. In the field, this is not possible. The tank must be evacuated to the location of the repair base where it can at least under patching. The crew cannot do this. The Russian T-90s engine was removed in just a couple of hours, with the help of trees and tankers the engine was removed and repaired in the field in 2 days. This was in India during the T-90 test. I did not change the mark, but repaired. At that time, the replacement engine in a spare area cost the crew 2 hours.

Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said that the tank exists in a single copy, and for military needs will be purchased modernized T-72, almost the same in performance, but twice cheaper.
We’re stupid Minister Ivanov. The T-72 will no longer be produced. Most likely, the mothballed cars will be modernized.
The armored car "Lynx", the brainchild of Russian-Italian friendship, is able to patrol and escort on the territory of hostilities. The principle of “safety capsules”, by which the interior of the machine is organized, helps to effectively protect the life of the crew. There was nothing small arms or equipment! In the best case, a representative came from some factory and hung up a plasma with a roller and sits distributing booklets! That in 2002 I was there, that in 2011 there were no more new models of equipment except the tiger and lynx, on the contrary, it even decreased! The exhibition is degrading from year to year!

Forget about the tanks, they have almost outlived themselves .. Now the emphasis will be on the Ka-52 and Mi-28 combat helicopters. They plan to build about 1000 in 2-3 years. One such vert will put several tanks at such a distance that they will not even have time to fart.

Missile weapons of course should be, but I think that a tank is better to compare if it’s flying with a helicopter, and there the cannon (machine gun) is one of the main means.

IMHO to supplement the machine gun on the roof with an anti-personnel grenade launcher. I think this will save ammunition, for example, you can comb the brilliant green (if thermobaric) and supplement the tanks with support vehicles with advanced missile weapons (BMPT, heavy infantry fighting vehicles, etc.).

So you answered my question. In this clash, in order to survive, the convoy needs air defense, and rocket defenses. You can't trample a helicopter with a cannon against missiles. You need to connect a tank with a "Shell", with the ability to hit ground targets.
Remember our convoy of equipment on 08.08.08., Georgian su-25s dropped freely falling bombs on them with impunity, and if they have modern helicopters and adjustable bombs and missiles?

Theoretically, a tank and a projectile with controlled detonation can cause damage to a helicopter, which means the whole question, or almost all in tracking systems (conditionally radar). It has decent dimensions and is quite vulnerable by tank standards. You can try placing a retractable lacquer on a support machine. Or do you mean the placement of the Igla block as on a stalker?

The conversation began with the fact that the cannon as the main weapon to cancel or not. I think it's too early to think about it.

Theoretically, do not forget about invar. They can hit the helicopters through the barrel. But if you also hang an air defense system on the tank, it’s too heavy and enormous. There should be a battalion-tactical group with its own air defense, a brigade with its own air defense such as beech, and the corps (I just dream, all these brigades in my opinion only fight with the partisans) should cover the s-300.

The gun may remain, but as a secondary weapon, missiles should be the main one, otherwise the tank will turn from an offensive weapon into a defensive one.

This is in the distant future, such a combat platform, with a radar, a bunch of missiles. And BMPT in our form, this is the wrong direction for a large crew, the missile unit is open and not protected, and it is primarily conceived to combat infantry. And just offer a tactical unit along with BMPT, as you see it.

For me, right now there should still be BTGs (battalion-tactical groups - a battalion of motorized rifles on heavy infantry fighting vehicles, only a 30mm cannon on an infantry fighting vehicle + tank company + artillery, covered by air defense either on their own or at the level of the brigade and UAV, platoon and company UAVs, like Raven Pindosovsky). BMPT, as the direction is correct, only rockets should be located inside the machine for about 20 pieces with the possibility of hitting ground equipment, helicopters and UAVs, a cannon, several machine guns to destroy manpower and lightly armored vehicles. Then such a unit can operate independently, otherwise the tanks will be attacked in the attack from the air with impunity.

with a column of armored vehicles (unless of course this is a target), the following will happen: it will be dispersed before the air targets fly up, and regular anti-aircraft systems will begin to methodically destroy air targets. Each tank regiment has an anti-aircraft division, whose task is to provide cover for armored vehicles on the march and even in battle. Of course, to combat UAVs, appropriate equipment is required. It exists (developed), poorly. that it’s almost absent in the troops (I mean Armor), but let’s say the Tungusks do an excellent job of detecting and destroying small-sized aircraft.

But when fighting in an open area, the tank battalion will demolish several kaeks and mikes in 10 minutes, and neither the tanks themselves nor the air defense system operators will understand where the attack came from.
