The appearance of the radar equipment "Admiral Gorshkov"

29
Despite all the difficulties of the development of project 22350, associated with delays in financing, the unification of avionics of firing systems into a common combat information-control system, as well as the transfer and installation of the main AU 192M “Armat” ship, the first serial frigate with tail number “417” "Admiral Gorshkov" is just one step away from the start of glorious service to the Motherland as part of the Northern or Black Sea fleet.

This became known in the morning of November 9 2014, when eyewitnesses received information about the first departure of the ship from the Northern Shipyard slipways associated with the start of sea trials and planned arrival at the FSUE “Kronstadt Marine Plant” production complex, where, apparently, The newest patrol ship of the offshore zone will undergo a comprehensive inspection and revision of the diesel-gas turbine powerplant 2х10Д49 + 2хX90FR with a total power of 65000 l. p., as well as the procedure of cleaning the surface and renovation of coatings, which probably underwent a corrosive effect during the many months of idle time at the Severnaya Verf.

A ship with a design cruising range of more than 4000 miles (7400 km) made its first 25-kilometer trip to Kotlin Island, where the unique offshore factory with the 156-year-old is located history. October 3 “Admiral Gorshkov” was put on demagnetization before the beginning of the first tests and transfers of the Navy at the end of the current - the beginning of the next year.

For our sailors, this “strong fighter” will be a conceptually new ship for two reasons. The first is the departure from the so-called "khutorny" control scheme for combat systems, which is inherent in such ships as the RKR Ave 1164.5 "Moscow", unimproved Ave. 1144.2 class "Kirov". In the ships of these projects, referred to as “aircraft carrier killers,” although there is a proprietary Bios (“Lumberjack-1164”, “Lumberjack-44” and “Alley-2М”), which can receive information about the tactical situation both from attached shipborne RFC “Frigate” -MA ”and“ Voskhod ”or from third-party sources, it only gives target designation to the antenna posts of the C-300FM, Dagger and Dirk aerial posts, which operate independently (with the help of their MRLS), that's what“ khutornaya "Scheme.

The appearance of the radar equipment "Admiral Gorshkov"

Corvette 20380 Ave. “Savvy”: for the first time successfully tested the “Poliment-Redut” air defense system, which is our response to the Aegis system, the frigate of the 124 Saxony project and its APAR radar, which did not follow the ideas of Aegis, is seen from behind , and went their own way, thanks to which they also beat the United States

The “Sigma-22350” CUS, installed on 22350 Ave., has, firstly, a completely new digital transmission system of incoming information, which turns the frigate into a single “living combat organism”, where between the air defense system a clear distribution of targets is made according to their degree of danger ( priorities). At the same time, the new main radar equipment on the frigate gives it maximum combat stability with a minimum amount of equipment.

For example, cruisers of the above reviewed projects carry the Fregat-MA and Voskhod RLOs, which, with a decent range of target detection of 300-500 km, have relatively low throughput of 80-150 targets, and lower accuracy, which does not allow to be used as a radar targeting missiles with ARGSN, such as the EMPL “EMPAR”, because they work not in the S-band of the DM-waves (shooting range “Aster-30”), but in the E-band of the DM-waves, more suitable for viewing the space.

The “Admiral Gorshkov” does not have several survey radars with heavy equipment. Judging by the photographs taken at Severnaya Verf, under the fairing of the main detection antenna post, either the 5P27 Furke, which has a detection range of the 180-200 km fighter, is hidden, and the number of trails followed is 200 with an accuracy of 4-5 more than “Voskhod” with “Frigate”, or the more advanced radar “Fregat-MAE-4K”, which operates in the rarely encountered H-band of the CM-waves (located between the X and G-band), i.e. in the event of the failure of the main MRLS Polimet, the Furke-2 and Frigate-MAE-4K RLOs can perform the target illumination, the latter even including the PZARGSN missile system, based on the fact that the MRLS of the Patriot air defense missile system AN / MPQ-53 operates in the G-band, which is lower than the H-band, but still allows direct highlighting of the PARGSN.

The radar detector used in the SIGMA-22350 CUSD, it is quite possible to introduce a shooting channel, in case of a failure of the Polymers MRLS, it is stated that the RNO is 5P27 Furke-2, but there is an opinion on the use of Frigate-MAE-4K because this radar is more promising because it works in the SM range and can technically perform target illumination

"Fregat-MAE-4K" - an antenna post with equipment weighs no more than 3500 kg

On the 5P20K Polimer Radar, there is still not very much information, but it is clear that it will work in the X-band, accompanying more than 200 targets at ranges up to 200 km. Unlike the decimeter AN / SPY-1, there is no need for radar "searchlights" for continuous illumination of the target. “Polyment” is represented by an 4-sided AFAR and is capable of simultaneously firing 16 targets. The concept of this radar is used in the APAR MRLS of German frigates of the 124 Ave. Saxony and is the most advanced in the world.

The work of the Poliment-Redut air defense system using the 9М96 missile defense system is well honed on the corvette pr.20380 “Savvy”, which gives this small patrol ship the capabilities to carry out a powerful missile defense system. Range of missiles is not limited to a single the latter can be used to protect a small ship order from the strong blows of an EHV.

In addition to the Redut air defense system, the 22350 avenue is equipped with two AFC 3Р89 "Palash", which will achieve the goals that "managed" to overcome the Redoubt missile defense system. The 9М337 SAM has an initial flight speed of 1200 m / s, which makes it possible to reach the target in 1,5-3 seconds, and even in the case of its maneuver, intercept and destroy, the missile is able to maneuver with the 45-52 overload unit. It uses radio command + laser adjustable guidance beam that is transmitted to the receiver of laser radiation in the rocket.

The control beam is corrected according to the target designation of the laser rangefinder and synchronized TV and thermal imaging channels introduced into the Shar optoelectronic sighting system, which is installed as the “head and eyes” of the combat module, very reminiscent of Robot.

OLPK “Ball” - built on the basis of highly sensitive infrared and high-resolution TV-matrix using a powerful laser control module and high-quality enlightened optics

Before you real combat robot 3Р89 "Palash" in full uniform. Because of their armor represented 2h4PU ZUR 9M337 and 2h6 30-mm cannons AO-18KD "Palash" can only for 2 seconds to bring down on the enemy missile "hail" from 320 30-mm armor-piercing projectiles, as well as virtually hypersonic missiles racing at speeds shells - 1000 m / s

Judging by the photos, experienced “Palashi” with a square opto-electronic module will be installed on the “Admiral Gorshkov” class.

For conducting artillery fire on the frigates of the type “Admiral Gorshkov” a 5-10 “Puma” radar sight was installed, also on the basis of PAR, introduced into the Sigma-22350 structure.

Antenna canvases of the 4-extraneous AFAR MRLS "Polyment" are covered with thick wooden shields to prevent damage during the completion of the lead ship of the 22350 project

Preparation for departure to Kronstadt: all combat systems of the ship are in proper condition. Very soon, the Navy will receive the SC, capable of acting with corvettes pr 20380

In less than a five-year period, Russian specialists built a patrol ship of the far sea zone, which far exceeds most of the western ships of this type, and behind the scenes, along with German frigates of the Saxony type and the Dutch “De Zeven Province”, leaves the American Aegis far behind the advanced lines of technical progress in the field of missile defense of the middle line.

Strange article. This is when ON THE CORVETS (!!!) Polyment-Redoubt was perfectly worked out? On the corvettes Redoubt with Furke, who is barely "on crutches", as one of our experts wrote on the site, manages to shoot at a target of the "boar" type. So Redoubt is not yet "to reach the condition" for a year or two.
Well, about the fact that the corvette has air defense capabilities of the whole compound, I will not say anything belay . If rockets were pushed onto him like a frigate, and the frigate was loaded like a destroyer, this does not mean that everyone will fall from fear. Maybe it’s easier to make 5 corvettes in a year with 4 anti-ship missiles, and with normal seaworthiness and habitability, than five years to moor a boat with an arsenal that he is unlikely to be able to use in real combat when. For no one has canceled target designation, but where will Furke take them?
In general, some kind of incomprehensible advertising - ugly article. The reality is much more complicated.

Well, let's start with the fact that on corvettes, the redoubt does not even receive target designation from a furke, but from an AU radar, at least all successful firing was carried out with the Puma. And not just barely, but normally shoots at the target rocket and not at the "boar", but at the termite. Well, where does the grass about shitty seaworthiness come from? Al decided that the weapons "outweigh"? Target designation for 22350 project "redoubt" receives from the AFAR "polyment", for radio-signalization, target designation from "lianas" and other ships and over-the-horizon radars ala "sunflower". Reality is really more complicated than in the articles, but you are as far away from it as you have -paCreoty.

In less than a five-year period, Russian specialists built a patrol ship of the far sea zone

Construction began in February 2006. It will be handed over to the Navy in 2015. And that's if all goes well. It turns out that a small, in general, patrol fleet is waiting for almost a whole decade. As already mentioned above, the state of the ocean-going fleet leaves much to be desired, and if the multipurpose "Ash" is still being built, albeit slowly, then with surface ocean-going ships, the matter has not moved further. If nothing is done about the construction timeframe, then the fleet will not see new destroyers until the middle of the next decade. Atlanta, Eagles and BOD are almost still of Soviet construction, Sarichs are chained to the piers. So it remains to be hoped that the necessary measures will be taken and the country will not be left without an ocean-going fleet.

"BIUS" Sigma-22350 ", installed on project 22350, has, firstly, a completely new digital system for transmitting incoming information, which turns the frigate into a single" living combat organism ", where a clear distribution of targets according to the degree of their danger is made between the air defense missile systems (priorities). At the same time, the new main radar equipment on the frigate gives it maximum combat stability with a minimum amount of equipment. "

What to say? A lot of words, zero information. Such BIUS are available on the ships of the Russian Navy (in particular, on the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, as well as on the ships of many other countries for a long time and without them the functioning of a modern warship is simply impossible.
Moreover, the CIRCS of warships of leading Western countries (USA, England, France, etc.) have long been tied into a single information network (with other ships, ground and air CPs, reconnaissance satellites, etc.) This, in particular, allows any of the ships to receive a picture of the tactical situation, attack targets, etc. in the radio silence mode using the data circulating in the network.

The radar performance specifications presented in the article are also very controversial.
In particular, the detection ranges are given without reference to the EPR of the CC and the heights at which the detection of the CC is provided. Nobody has yet canceled the radio horizon, and the EPR of modern stealth fighters is close to 0.1 and 2.
The ability to simultaneously support 200 air targets specified in the article can be provided only in automatic mode, and since the decision on the goals (false, true, own, alien, etc.) in combat systems can be made only by a human operator and no one else, then in combat systems either automated or manual detection and tracking modes of the CC are used. The machine is used only to reduce the load on the human operator and increase its productivity. But even with the automation of the above radar processing processes, the operator’s throughput in an automated mode does not usually exceed 4-6 targets.
It turns out that to accompany all 200 targets behind the screens of the BIUS locators, there should be from 30 to 50 operators engaged only in air targets. What size should the BIUS compartment be to accommodate all of them there and how to manage them all? Moreover, the operators of the Frigate's BIUS have, in addition to combating the CC, a host of other tasks.
Hints about the possible use of the surveillance radar as a radar for target illumination or guidance of SAMs are also more than doubtful.
For these purposes, either special radar target illumination or sector-specific radar with headlight are used.

How many articles there were about the firing of anti-aircraft missiles from an arlie berk at a tip from another arlie berk, but very few people have heard about the firing of a missile defense system from a bauyan at a tip from an over-the-horizon sunflower radar.

Indeed, I have not heard of the guidance of shipborne missiles according to over-the-horizon radars. And if I had heard, I would be very surprised since There is doubt that the accuracy of determining the coordinates of over-the-horizon radars will be sufficient for guiding the RC, and the classification of targets (air or surface) by these radars is very problematic. As a rule, over-the-horizon radars are used for early detection of airborne or surface mudflows in some area with an accuracy sufficient to view this area with more accurate reconnaissance and target designation., But not for pointing weapons at these targets.

Accuracy, of course, is lower, and with the help of such a radar, you can hardly target missiles with missiles, except that missiles with ARGSN, entering the "square" of finding the CD, will itself make up for the lack of data. And with "friend or foe", too, such radars have problems. But I cited this not as a "breakthrough in our scientific thought", but as an indicator that the unification of all systems into one common network ala aejis is not a problem for us for a long time.

And a few more words about Broadsword's "Terminator".
There has already been a lot of debate on whether it is rational to have missile and cannon weapons in one bottle. The conclusion was that it was not entirely rational, because targets for which you need to shoot with SAMs can be at the same azimuths and elevation angles and targets for which you need to shoot with cannons can at the same time be at completely different azimuths and elevation angles (stellar raid).
It is very difficult to control the position of the massive turret in azimuth and the cannons and containers with missiles mounted on it, which also have a decent weight in elevation with the required speed. servomechanisms cannot turn such a mass to the required angles 'at a time'.
Therefore, on most modern ships of the Western fleets, the missile and cannon armament of air defense is, as a rule, "territorially" divided. The cannon mounts are separate, and the air defense system is separate. Moreover, for air defense systems, now they are mainly used for vertical launching of air defense systems in order to be able to practically simultaneously fire on the test center located at different azimuths without spending time and effort on rotating the "head" in different directions,

And a few more words about Broadsword's "Terminator".
There has already been a lot of debate on whether it is rational to have missile and cannon weapons in one bottle ... in different directions,

Yes, yes, there are a lot of debates, because according to your opinions, there are directly opposite statements, namely on the points:
    1) It is rational to have missiles and guns in one bottle, because the latter are designed just for "finishing off" the same targets that "broke through" after the missiles were launched at them. Therefore, the azimuths and angles are actually the same, since the ZRAKs are primarily intended to destroy low-flying anti-ship missiles in the final section of the trajectory (15-10 km and closer) or airborne guided (corrective) bombs. In 90% of cases, the trajectories of these targets "rest" on the side of the ship, and do not fly by tangentially (you do not need to rotate especially in azimuth-angle - until you hit the target). It should be noted here that the target designation channel for an approaching ammunition, as a rule, is one (in rare cases, two - the same optoelectronic system of the Broadsword, Kortika, Puma, etc. - in a narrow "beam" of capture - 15-30 degrees) ... Therefore, here there is a "tough" sequence, first the defeat of one target with all available means, then a small "turn" (targets can be group targets) and fire on the next ... The presence of two TPKs with 3-4 missiles does not mean that the fire will be fired at six to eight targets from different directions at the same time, given that the developers' probability of hitting a target of 0,85-0,95 is in most cases achievable with the sequential launch of two missiles at one target (the reality is, alas ...).
    2) As for the vertical launch for short-range missiles - again, why should they be used? If for the "self-defense" of the ship from anti-ship missiles in the "near" zone, then there are many points against the use of such a principle. These moments were widely discussed at the forums of "airbases", "Stealth machines", etc., in particular, in the topics Torm2 vs Armor C1. The following follows from the discussion: Since the time of arrival of the KR, anti-ship missiles, AUB, anti-radar missile launchers, etc. in the considered "near" zone there is very little, given the "supersounds" (and in the future "hypersounds") of most of them, it is more efficient to use missiles along inclined guides towards the target at the time of launch. The set of speed is faster and the flight time to the target is less (and the distance traveled in an equal time interval is longer) in such missiles, in contrast to the missile defense of a vertical launch, and this is the primary factor in the use of the considered means. It is obvious that the "vertical" spends a total of 3-5 seconds on a vertical start, a turn towards the target and a set of speed. At this time, "obliquely - directed" at the start of the missile defense system has already covered a third or even half of the way. Now let's consider the mass-dimensional efficiency of these two types of starts. Again, it is obvious that the total mass of the missile defense system (the starting stage or the mass of the fuel-gunpowder + the marching part), with an equal mass of the warhead equal to the range of destruction, will be greater for the "vertical, and therefore its dimensions. Here again, the speed is lower, the acceleration equal time interval, etc., etc. Alas - the laws of physics cannot be avoided.
Conclusion: Our Tula, Moscow Gryazevs-Shipunovs, Nudelmans, etc., which the authors of Kortikov, Palm-Palash, Tungusok, Pantsirey, calculated and took into account all this back in Soviet times and did not go like "most modern Western fleets" (and not only fleets but also "land" if you take into account - take the same - the same Tunguska, Pantsir C1) on the "vertical." They saw their own, very great reason in this, and they still see it.

A small "addition" to the above. Short-range vertical launch missiles, with regards to ships, have only one unconditional "plus". This is that, when using them, there is no need and waste of time for reloading TPK missiles of air defense firing complexes of the "near" zone, and, accordingly, for various reloading mechanisms. I loaded the required number of missiles at the base into the vertical launch units (UVP) and sail wherever you want. Moreover, nowadays they strive to make UVP universal, since in these "landing" places you can "shove", depending on the specifics of the combat use of the ship at the moment, in addition to "small" missiles, their "brothers" of medium and long range, as well as all sorts of "tomogavki", "calibers", "bramos" "," onyx "," asrokov "and other" death ". All this directly for the better (less is better here) affects the mass and dimensions of the ship, both in general and in particular.
