Science to survive. We select the arsenal: gilt, cyst, kubotan? ..

Life now went dangerous. How to turn on the TV - a continuous criminal chronicle. I really do not want to once become a victim of some scumbags. To be able to protect yourself and loved ones, you have to think about purchasing weapons for self defense. If you are already thinking - this information is for you. So, we will arm.

“All persons, equally, regardless of their professional or other special training and official position, have the right to the necessary defense. This right belongs to a person, regardless of whether it is possible to avoid socially dangerous encroachment or to seek help from other persons or authorities. Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Article 37, p. 2. "

“Fear is merciless. He shows what this or that person is: not what he wants, but what he really is. ”

Friedrich Nietzsche

Science to survive: the choice of weapons for self-defense

In January, 2010 was recorded in Russia, 345,6 thousand crimes. Almost half of all recorded crimes are embezzlement committed by: theft - 156,9 thousand, robbery - 45,3 thousand, robbery - 6,1 thousand. Every second theft, every seventeenth robbery and every thirteenth robbery were associated with illegal entry into a dwelling, room or other storage.

Here is such an interesting statistic. This means that today no one is protected from criminal rampage in Russia: neither the minister, nor the student, nor the seller in the market. As is known, the rescue of the drowning is the work of the drowning themselves. So, we will arm.

The first and most important weapon is yourself. If you are psychologically ready for self-defense, have been trained enough, possess the skills of hand-to-hand combat, then you may not need a weapon. Otherwise, evaluate the capabilities of your wallet and carefully review the following list.

Brass knuckles, gilts, cysts, telescopic batons

Despite the effectiveness of the use in melee, they are best left to cine scum. If you decide to wear such a thing in your pocket, then be prepared for trouble with the police. The cold weapon of shock-crushing action in our country is prohibited to circulation and use.

For the same reason, unfortunately, you will not be able to use another very interesting weapon, namely, a telescopic baton. Imagine three or four steel segments with a thickness of a finger, connected according to the principle of an antenna from a radio receiver. At the tip is usually located a metal ball. When folded, such a club is not longer than a fountain pen. And on the backswing, it instantly unfolds and in capable hands turns into a very formidable weapon. This is a very good means of self-defense, but a good citizen cannot have it. But you can run into a criminal armed with a telescopic baton. Such is the paradox of our life.

Kubotan

There is another tricky thing, but it requires a special approach. In 1977, in the USA, master Takayuki Kubota, the founder of his own style of karate, invented kubotan - a very simple but effective means of self-defense.

Science to survive. We select the arsenal: gilt, cyst, kubotan? ..

Kubotan, or as it is also called “small police baton”, is a small rod made of plastic, metal or rubber up to 150 mm in length and with a diameter of 15-20 mm, on the surface of which there are annular projections or grooves for fingers. It is designed for striking points and for seizures. Often Kubotan used as a key chain. In such a combination, with a kubotan, you can inflict very sensitive butting, and with keys - slashing blows at the open parts of the opponent's body.

In some countries, including ours, law enforcement officers look at the kubotan quite sidelong, almost equating it to cold weapons. But find any thick enough marker or pen - here's your “kubotan”. The whole trick is that in the role of a kubotan completely peaceful things can appear at first glance.

For example, MiniMAG flashlight of the world famous company MAGlite. It has a durable aluminum case and, in addition to its regular duties, can be a good help in a street conflict. Buy it is not a problem in any large supermarket or specialty stores. Cost around 600-700 rubles.

By the way, pay attention to the MAGlite series D and C lanterns - they are used by the American police instead of batons.

If you are an esthete and you want a real corporate kubotan, but you are not looking for problems with the law, then Streamlight has released a useful piece especially for you, or, as they say, a device called BatonLite.

Very successful symbiosis of the flashlight and kubotan. And here, they say, you will not find fault. For law enforcement officers in your pocket a flashlight, for Gopnik - kubotan. True to buy in Russia BatonLite is difficult, you have to write out from abroad. Prepare in advance about 150 cu

for pigs and stuff, the cops take it, that's for sure, we did something like this out of 10 penny coins glued together and tied with tape, and carried it with us, even though I didn't need to use it, the cops were still lucky for it once to the department, no matter how much I said that these were supplies for a "rainy" day, they did not believe me, I had to give them 300 rubles for beer.

I think even a regular pencil can become a good weapon; no one will forbid wearing it.

Personally, I do so. And the experience of using against Gopniks shows the effectiveness of the device and the complete absence of conflict with the law (unless of course you knocked out your eyes or pierced the neck, I prefer buttock puncture-efficiently and the memory for the future remains). In the full dress, I have a metal fountain pen donated by acquaintances-mine-workers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
But the best fight is the one he could escape.

You can not apply the acquired fighting skills against drunk young people with reinforcement and a knife !!!! and in general I pose a threat to society, according to the judge !!

Strange, no one mentioned the good old army leather belt! It is removed and put into combat position in fractions of a second, the equipment is not particularly complicated, no problems with the Law are foreseen, and the plop that flew from a steel badge more than compensates for the enemy’s numerical superiority
