What to do with the Russian army?

What to do with the Russian army? The modern Russian army has entered another strip of crisis, about which they had only previously talked about, and now they began to observe, into a crisis zone with draftees. We approached the 2010 year with the 18 missing the summer generation, there was no one to "give back to the motherland" and serve the glory of our country, as the notion of "defender of the Fatherland" itself should assume.

But this difficult situation was promoted by many negative factors for a long time, beginning with the decline of the Soviet Union. In the beginning, they spread rumors and rumors, then they started writing about them in newspapers, and finally started talking on television.

The transition to a contractual basis was assumed even by Yeltsin, he made loud statements, but it was very tight, and it was postponed altogether. Back in those days, the question of conscripts was sometimes discussed and how the difficult transitional times of the 90s would affect the army. The catastrophic decline in the birth rate and already at that time the unpopularity of the army pushed the leaders to think about reforming, although it did not lead to anything. The solution of the issue was delayed, and the consequences began to be seriously affected only now. In 2010, those who were born in 1993 graduated from school, and the years of severe instability from 1991 to 2000 mean that there will be an additional seven years in the army, but you have to admit that time is not the best for giving birth to children.

And how has the Russian army changed lately? After all, there was an experiment in aside professional army. As it turned out, the experiment of transition to a contractual basis has completely failed; for the allotted time it was not possible to make the military profession prestigious. Such a statement was made by Anatoly Serdyukov. According to him, in the near future, military personnel on a contract basis will remain only in technical units.

Why did it happen that way? A small salary contract? Impossibility of arrangement of life? Mushtra and stupidity of the authorities? It is difficult to say the results in open sources were not reported.

Eaten by scandals, suicides and murders, hazing, compatriots, selling into slavery, working for generals, and lately also killing for donor organs - the army can’t look like a desirable place for young people. All this is reported weekly in the media. Without serious reform, Russia will soon be left entirely without an army.

The desire to increase the draft age of citizens from 27 to 30 years, and the term of military conscription to extend to August 31 will not give the desired result, this is similar to plugging holes in a sinking ship. Instead of building a new, powerful and modern, in the General Staff want to keep afloat the old boat, which suddenly does not sink, if you fill it with recruits "all the contract." But even this will not be enough - to serve no one. Soon there will be a question of extending the service life, say, up to three years from the current one year.

Maybe it is time to take an example from France and hire foreign players for the time of a serious new reform?
