The military robot of the IRobot company masters a new specialty. Now the robot, which is called Warrior (Warrior) and which is a light version Robot Python, uses the Mk7 APOBS (Anti-personnel Obstacle Breaching System). The robot will be able to effectively make passages in various anti-personnel obstacles: minefields and barbed wire fences. Moreover, the robot does not directly enter the minefields itself, but works at a distance.
How does this happen? Soldiers remotely bring the robot closer to the field on which anti-personnel barriers are mounted. Then the robot shoots a rocket in the desired direction. Rocket-mounted fragmentation grenades and a small parachute are attached to the rocket on the 45 meter cable. After the shot, the rocket, flying, falls to the ground, pulling the cable with grenades into line. Grenades explode on the ground, undermining mines and barriers. The result is a clearly distinguishable and safe path for infantry and vehicles.
