Mobile coastal defense missile system "Club-M"

43 516 6
Mobile missile The Kalibr-M complex (export designation Club-M) is designed to organize anti-ship defense and provide combat stability to coastal zone objects, as well as to destroy a wide range of stationary (low-mobility) ground targets at any time of day or night in simple and difficult weather conditions. Developed by Novator Design Bureau (Yekaterinburg).

The complex "Caliber-M" includes:
self-propelled launcher (SPU),
transport-charging machines (TZM),
3М-54Э, 3М-54Э1 and 3М14Е cruise missiles in transport and launch containers (TPK),
technical support machine
communication and control machine
missile support and storage equipment.

SPU and TZM complex can be placed on the chassis of the Bryansk Automobile Plant BAZ-6909 (for the armed forces of the Russian Federation) or the Belarusian MAZ-7930. SPU includes from four to six transport and launch containers with missiles (see photo) for various purposes. The maximum speed of SPU on the highway - 70km / h, on the road - 30km / h. Power reserve without refueling - no less than 800km.

The presence of a complex of anti-ship missiles 3М-54Е1 / 3М-54Э and a high-precision cruise missile ZМ14Э designed for strikes against ground targets, combined with a single system for controlling the complex, provides exceptional flexibility, efficiency and versatility of use including. on a purely land theater of operations.

Using its own radar installed on a communication and control machine, the Caliber-M complex is capable of independently detecting and tracking surface targets, targeting and attacking escort targets with 3М-54Е1Е anti-ship missiles. The presence of active and passive radar detection channels allows for a flexible detection strategy, including secretive. The complex can receive operational information from higher command posts and external means of reconnaissance and target designation.

Some information about the missiles included in the complex:

The 3М-54Е and 3М-54Э1 anti-ship missiles have an almost identical basic configuration and are as unified as possible. The rockets are made according to the normal aerodynamic design with a drop-down trapezoidal wing, spanning 3.1m. The 3М-54E rocket consists of a launch stage, a subsonic sustainer stage, and a supersonic solid-fuel combat stage. Warhead - penetrating type with undermining at optimum depth. Rocket 3М54Е1 has two stages. The refusal to use the third supersonic stage allowed equipping the 3М54Э1 rocket with a more powerful warhead and increasing the missile’s range. Due to the shorter length, 3М54Э1 can be placed in short torpedo tubes.

3M-54E rocket

The launch stage provides the launch and acceleration of the rocket, equipped with a solid-fuel single-chamber rocket engine, similar to the cruise missile 3M-10 "Granat" engine. In the tail part of the starting stage are lattice stabilizers.

Marching stage - provides flight at the main part of the trajectory with transonic speed, equipped with a compact turbojet engine TRDD-50B ("product 37-01Е"). The TRDD-50B was developed by the Omsk Engine-Building Design Bureau (OMKB OJSC) and unified for all the Caliber missiles. TRDD-50B is a dual-circuit two-shaft turbojet engine with coaxial shafts of low and high pressure circuits, equipped with a half-loop annular combustion chamber. The high pressure circuit is a close-up compressor (one axial stage and one diagonal) and a single-stage axial turbine. The low pressure circuit is a single-stage fan with wide-chord blades and a single-stage axial turbine. Reliable engine start is ensured in the whole range of external operating conditions from -50 ° С to + 60 ° С. TRDD-50B length - 800mm, diameter - 300mm, thrust - 270kgs.

3M-54E1 rocket

The onboard control system of the 3М-54Е / 3М-54Э1 rockets is based on the autonomous inertial navigation system AB-40Э (developed by the State Research Institute of Instrument Making). Guidance on the final part of the trajectory is carried out using the anti-interference active radar homing head ARGS-54. ARGS-54 was developed by Radar-MMS (St. Petersburg) and has a maximum range of up to 65km. The head length is 70cm, the diameter is 42cm and the weight is 40kg. ARGS-54 can function at sea state up to 6 points.

The 3M-14E cruise missile of the Kalibr-PLE, Kalibr-NKE, and Kalibr-M complexes is equipped with a solid-fuel launch engine with lattice stabilizers in the tail section. The TRDD-50B cruise engine ("Product 37") is a small-sized dual-circuit turbojet, unified for all Kalibr missiles, developed by the Omsk Engine Design Bureau (OAO OMKB).

3M-14E rocket equipped with a combined guidance system. Control of a rocket in flight is completely autonomous. The on-board control system is based on the autonomous inertial navigation system AB-40E (developed by the State Research Institute of Instrumentation). The rocket control system includes a radio altimeter of the type RVE-B (developed by UPKB “Detail”) and a satellite navigation system receiver (GLONASS or GPS). The radio altimeter provides a flight in the rounding mode of the terrain by precisely keeping the flight altitude: above the sea - no more than 20 m, above land - from 50 to 150 m (approaching the target - reducing to 20 m).

The missiles fly along a pre-determined route, in accordance with intelligence data regarding the target's position and the presence of air defense systems. The missiles are capable of overcoming zones of a developed system Defense enemy, which is ensured by extremely low flight altitudes (with terrain following) and autonomy of guidance in the "silent" mode on the main section. The missile's flight trajectory on the cruising section is corrected using data from the satellite navigation subsystem and the terrain correction subsystem. The latter's operating principle is based on comparing the terrain of a specific missile location with reference terrain maps along its flight route, previously stored in the memory of the onboard control system. Navigation is performed along a complex trajectory, the missile has the ability to bypass strong enemy air defense/missile defense zones or difficult terrain sections - by entering the coordinates of the so-called route turn points (up to 15 reference points) into the flight mission (see trajectory diagram).

The target trajectory is guided by the anti-jamming active radar homing head ARGS-14E, which effectively highlights subtle, small-sized targets against the background of the underlying surface. The ARGS-14 head with a diameter of - 514mm and 40kg weight is developed in OAO NPP Radar MMS (St. Petersburg), has a viewing angle in azimuth (bearing) ± 45 °, in elevation - from + 10 ° to -20 ° . Typical target detection range around 20km. Exceptional maneuverability allows you to accurately bring a rocket to the target.

The 3M-14E missile is equipped with a powerful 450-kilogram high-explosive warhead with the option of an air blast. A variant of the rocket with a cluster warhead completed with fragmentation, high-explosive or cumulative striking elements for striking at areal and extended targets.

For the first time, the Caliber-M / Club-M complex was demonstrated at an exhibition of weapons and military equipment in Nizhny Tagil in 2006.

Now many countries will want to predominate such a "club", otherwise the lawless ones are spread all over the world. And with such a Caliber, you can even open a hollow NATO, so that next time they think, but it is worth climbing there.

They showed the "classics" of all high-precision cruise missiles. What is special? The price is lower, or the range is higher. Tamaghawks hit up to 2500 km. And these 450 km in the film

I agree that NATO’s maritime warfare group separately, these complexes are not terrible to destroy them to the radius of their action.
In terms of range, I think we have nothing (non-nuclear) to counter the subsonic Tamgavkas...it seems like all of our similar missiles are supersonic but with a shorter range.
A carrier group with 10 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, each with 96 missile launch cells, would be suitable.
HOW they will beat 960 tamahawks (of course there aren’t all tamahawks there) ... and they won’t save any S-400s. And the khan to all coastal defense complexes ... and much more

Why S-400. There are Torahs. There will be enough of them.
