Harrier fighter: from the fearless fighter to the last flight

The British Air Force fighter "Harrier" after 40 years of service was removed from service, as a result of cuts in defense spending. The aircraft, commissioned at 1969, marked his resignation by the final flight over the Cottesmore airport. In these photos we recall moments from the life of one of the British cult jet fighters.

9. 1999: A British Air Force ground crew engineer repairs a Harrier aircraft. It closed from the rain, which postponed day flights from the Joy del Colle airfield in southern Italy. The aircraft were part of NATO and participated in the airstrips on the former Yugoslavia and Kosovo.
