Russian paratroopers will be trained in NATO countriesSoldiers of the Russian Airborne Forces are preparing for internships in the United States, Germany and other countries, Commander of the Airborne Forces, Lieutenant General Vladimir Shamanov, said Wednesday. The general also told about the nearest plans of the Airborne Forces and what planes the paratroopers need.

"The chief of the General Staff set the task in the framework of the Russia-NATO format to conduct military training for our military personnel in the armed forces of a number of foreign countries," said Shamanov. In particular, he clarified, a number of servicemen are now preparing for a trip to the USA and Germany.

Shamanov also said that more than ten Airborne Forces calculations will be held this summer to retrain for the operation of modern unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) procured in Israel.

- Airborne Forces requests to buy An-30 40-70 aircraft
- The Ministry of Defense will resume the production of aircraft "Ruslan"

"Today, there is an instruction from the General Staff to prepare 12 crews in the center of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Moscow region during the summer training period," Shamanov told reporters in Moscow on Wednesday. He said that so far the specialists of the Airborne Forces have not been able, as planned, to visit Israel in connection with purchases in this country "drones".

At the same time, he highly appreciated the Russian-made unmanned aerial vehicle, while noting the usefulness of the competitive spirit in terms of possible purchases of foreign-made weapons for the Russian army.

"At one of the exercises, we used Kazan-made unmanned reconnaissance aircraft Helicopters, which were used to supplement the target at a distance of up to 10 km and successfully fired a weapon," Shamanov said.

According to him, this Russian-made "drone" is an advanced product, especially in terms of objectivity and reliability of the provided coordinates of the target. Shamanov noted that during the exercise, the products of the Russian companies Vega, Irkut and a number of other enterprises had a good account of themselves.

Airborne Forces requests to purchase X-NUMX-30 An-40 aircraft

As part of the State Armaments Program being developed for 2011-2020, X-NUMX-30 of Russian-Ukrainian military transport aircraft An-40 can be purchased, Shamanov also reported.

“The elaboration of the State Armaments Program for 2011-2020 years is coming to an end,” the commander recalled. “According to our requests, there is an upgrade of the Il-76 aircraft, the resumption of production and the modernization of the An-124 aircraft, and the purchase of X-NNXX aircraft.”

Shamanov noted that the final decision on An-70 has not yet been made. "It’s not up to me. After the approval of the State Armaments Program, we’ll see."

Defense Ministry will resume production of aircraft "Ruslan"

Under the state weapons program for 2011-2020, the Russian Defense Ministry plans to resume production of the An-124 Ruslan aircraft, Vladimir Shamanov told reporters. “When developing the state program, we submitted our proposals, whether I can say that they will be implemented in the approved version of the state program,” the commander said. According to him, the An-70 aircraft, after all the modifications, should occupy the niche of the An-12 aircraft.

The Russian-Ukrainian transport aircraft "Ruslan" is the largest serial transport aircraft in the world. Aircraft produced in Ulyanovsk and in Kiev. In 2004, production was suspended.

And why not, although there seem to be no such massive airmobile troops in any other country in the world, I really can’t figure out what they can learn from NATO members. I remember a long time ago, about 10-15 years ago, Ukraine held mass exercises in the Carpathians, including landing, there seemed to be 400 English paratroopers among the participants, in short they threw them somewhere in the mountains, well, difficult conditions, so ours are fine (without difficult ), and the British seem 4 broken legs and one spine was.

while the Airborne Forces is considered the most combat-ready part, they will consider and evaluate where the weak point in the management of units is)))

We can only guess that the Airborne Forces will learn from NATO.
