The second flight instance of a promising front-line aviation complex aviation (PAK FA) will begin flights by the end of 2010, the head of the Sukhoi corporation, Mikhail Poghosyan, said. According to him, the first flight instance has already completed 40 flights. He added that the companies are satisfied with the test.

"The test program is moving faster than we expected," Pogosyan said.

He added that negotiations with Indian partners on joining this project should also be completed before the end of this year.

Russia and India agreed on joint development and construction of the fifth generation aircraft, which made its first flight in January of this year. It is assumed that two versions of this combat vehicle will be created - single and double. The framework contract for the creation of the fifth generation fighter was signed earlier. Costs are planned to be distributed approximately equally. Russia and India are planning to create a fifth-generation fighter to 2015-2016 years (T-50 Russian version of the aircraft). It is assumed that the fighter of the new generation will begin to enter the Russian troops with 2015 year (in the single version), and by the year 2020 will appear in the Indian Air Force.

The T-50 is a fifth-generation heavy-class fighter with take-off weight over 30 tons, of medium size (roughly corresponding to Su-27 aircraft), which is a monoplane with widely spaced engines and two keels, strongly inclined outward from the longitudinal axis. The appearance of the airframe is designed using the technology of geometric stealth.
