In 1950, the group was temporarily disbanded, and its pilots were sent to the Far East to participate in the Korean War (this step was caused by a shortage of flight personnel.) In 1951, the Blue Angels were formed again.
The group currently flies the F / A-18 Hornet fighter-bombers. Maximum speed during an air show: 700 miles per hour (1300 km / h) and minimum: 120 miles per hour (220 km / hour).
