Russian intelligence is in crisis
Russian intelligence today is seriously weakened. The current oligarchic government does not want to know, to obtain information about military programs, political strategy and military equipment - it is primarily interested in business issues. About this in an interview with the correspondent of "New Region" said the president of the Academy of geopolitical problems of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Leonid Ivashov. People’s elects, the expert states, in election speeches only speak about the interests of Russia, including about defense capability, security, but in practice they do the opposite - disarming the army, weakening the mining structures, intelligence.

So, having signed an agreement with Israel on military cooperation, Russia caused the wariness of the Arab countries, Iran. The sanctions against Iran, in his opinion, are also angering the Islamic world against our country, then the anti-narcotics operation in Afghanistan, jointly with the United States, carried out without agreement with the government of that country. Ivashov and Russia's policy towards Japan is not completely clear.

To say that the Russian government provides security from the West, it is impossible. The elite, according to the expert, “is more concerned with the social, political protest that is brewing in Russia” - the rulers are afraid of a national explosion or even a change authorities in the elections, and, as a consequence, the loss of their capital.
“Therefore, they are urgently fleeing to NATO today. They understand that NATO will force them to share, but at least they will not take everything from them, they will not plant them. Intelligence is only oriented in this direction - they will accept NATO, they will not accept, the former president, prime minister will be hidden, ministers or not, they will be given political asylum, like Akhmed Zakayev or they will not, ”Ivashov believes.
The general, referring to the book of Mikhail Poltoranin "Power in TNT equivalent", gives evidence that the Russians no longer belong to 80% of the country's resources. To say that this property is in the hands of Russia, in his opinion, is impossible, because, fleeing, its "owners" "will try to steal everything they can with themselves."
In addition, Ivashov recalls the actions of Boris Yeltsin in 1993, when the president, for the sake of maintaining power, asked for support from Clinton and entered into an agreement with the United States on weapons-grade uranium.
“Clinton says - I have to give something significant to Congress to keep silent, at least. What to give? Give back weapons uranium, I will say that Russia is becoming a nuclear-free country. Yeltsin agrees, and we are losing 500 tons of nuclear potential that the country has created over many years. ”
The intelligence services and the financial circles of the West, Ivashov summarizes, are aware of where government officials hide their savings. And the threat of exposure is always hanging over the oligarchs if one of them "turns the wrong way." “Or sell Russia further, or they will take everything away from you” - such a choice, according to the expert, sometimes the Western secret services put the Russian elite in front of them.
