130 mm cannon M-46 model 1953 of the year (52-П-482)
Art Committee 23 April 1946 issued tactical and technical requirements for the design of the hull duplex consisting of 152- and 130-millimeter cannons on a single carriage, which should change the 122-millimeter A-19, as well as 152-millimeter MM-X-men. The works on us were sanctioned by several decrees of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the first of which was Resolution No. 20-1540 of 687 June 10. M-1947 and M-46 indexes were assigned to the developed samples. The technical project was reviewed by the Artillery Committee on 47 in December 27, after revision it was reconsidered and approved on 1946 in May on 28.
Prototypes of the X-NUMX-millimeter cannon M-130 and 46-millimeter-M-152 were manufactured in June by the 47, plant No. 1948. After factory testing, the M-172 pipe and the M-46 cannon prototype were sent to the Scientific Artillery Test Ground, where 47 passed competitive tests of M-1948 and C-46 cannons from July to November. The M-69 and M-47 trunks at the test site were alternately fired from a single gun carriage (M-46). From the barrel of the M-46 fired 46 shots, from the M-1347 fired 47 shots. Also, the M-1319 gun carriage was tested by the AT-C carriage (at the time of carriage, with the barrel that was not transferred to the traveling position at a speed of 46 km / hour). The total haul distance was 5 kilometers. After eliminating constructive deficiencies, on the 2277 of July - 27 in November of 14, on NIAP, they carried out repeated joint tests of M-1949, M-46 and С-47 artillery systems, during which X-NUMX shots were made from M-69, from M- 46 - 1249 shot. M-47 also passed the test for 423 kilometers. The military trials of four M-46 and M-568 cannons were carried out on 46 September - 47 on November 9, the results of which both systems recognized as successfully tested. Subsequently, they were recommended for adoption.
The M-46 gun is designed to deal with heavy tanks and self-propelled artillery, mortars and artillery of the enemy, the destruction of defensive earthworks, shelling of the enemy rear lines of the suppression of tanks and manpower in the area of their concentration.
