Armament from the exhibition "Made in Georgia"

26 May 2012 on the day of independence of Georgia a traditional military parade was held in the evening in Kutaisi, and earlier in the morning in Tbilisi on Rustaveli Avenue and the Rose Revolution Square the first "industrial parade" (open exhibition) "Made in Georgia" was opened, in which, among other things, samples of weapons and equipment of Georgian manufacture were presented. The exhibition was visited by Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili.

Among the samples "made in Georgia" were presented copies of the Lazika infantry combat vehicle, Didgori 1, Didgori 2 wheeled armored vehicles (in two versions) and Didgori 3, mortar, grenade and small arms "developed" and manufactured by the state scientific and technical center Delta "Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

Taking into account the fact that three copies of the Lazika infantry fighting vehicle and Didgori 3 armored vehicles took part in the military parade in Kutaisi on the same day, the total number of each of these types of vehicles built in Georgia currently is at least four.

As for the Didgori 3 armored car with the wheel formula 6х6, then, according to some information, it is made on the chassis of the Chinese three-axle truck Wuhan Sanjiang WS2180. Judging by the model presented at the exhibition in Tbilisi, Didgori 3 is armed with a new compact remote-controlled turret with 12,7-mm and 7,62-mm machine guns, and has two additional 7,62-mm machine-gun installations on the rear platform. Presumably, Didgori 3 is a gantrac to accompany the columns. In addition, a similar remote-controlled turret with 3-mm and 12,7-mm machine guns was installed on the sample of the modified Didgori 7,62 armored car (the first 2 Armored XDUMX 15 2 cars of the year were equipped with 2011 of the year were equipped with 7,62 armored vehicles with 134 of the year, the XNUMX built XNUMX armored vehicles of the year were equipped with an XNUMX armored XNUMX armored XNUMX of the year were equipped with XNUMX armored XDUMX armored vehicles built by XNUMX of the year were equipped with an XNUMX armored car XDUMX XNUMX built with the XNUMX of the year were equipped with an XNUMX armored car XNUMX of the year XNUMX built with the XNUMX built were equipped with XNUMX of the year XNUMX armored vehicles of the year XNUMX built were equipped with XNUMX of the year XNUMX armored vehicles of the year were equipped with XNUMX armored vehicles of the year with XNUMX built with an XNUMX armored car. Media: At the "parade of Georgian industry" was Russian products

      28 May 2012, 11: 55

      Visitors to the first parade of achievements of Georgian industry, which was held in Tbilisi on Rustaveli Avenue on Independence Day on May 26, were surprised when they saw inscriptions in Russian on some exhibits, the correspondent of the newspaper VZGLYAD reports in the Georgian capital with reference to the local newspaper Kviris Palitra (Palette of the Week).

      On the wheels of the metro car, which was presented as local products, the letter “M” was visible - a symbol of the corresponding Moscow plant.

      Also, the newspaper notes, inscriptions in Russian were visible on tanks for the transportation of fuel and lubricants.

      According to the publication, it was noticeable that these inscriptions tried to wipe, but to no avail.

      Representatives of enterprises said that the inscriptions were made in Russian for deliveries to the CIS countries, but citizens asked them not to fool, reports "Kviris palette" ("Palette of the week").

      The parade was held under the slogan “Saakashvili revives Georgia” put out on banners.

      He was already trying to revive, as a result, South Ossetia and Abkhazia left Georgia.

"Colchis" had a very smooth suspension for that time and those who brought wine products to "ADASAH" preferred to use this draft product as soon as possible, because , "battle" of glass containers was at a minimum or absent altogether. As a student, I worked as a loader and unloaded 800 wooden boxes with water alone - this was in the first half of the glorious 80s.

        I don't know about "smoothness", but getting on the car was a punishment for the chauffeur. If you want more details, look in the Internet. Drivers laughed that the machine was designed to transport tea and nothing else. They were "rolled out" from the gates of the enterprise, and then those who came for them on their own "brought the car into working order." They received more awards than at any other enterprise in the USSR. laughing

          "Georgians in a noisy crowd
          Pushed up the Studebaker mountain "
          What, comrades, are the words of the poet telling us? They talk about the powerlessness of American technology and the power of the Georgian people!
          - From the report of Lavrenty Pavlovich Beria at the XVI Congress of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions

          In the midst of the collapse, the party sent to Kutaisi a group of advanced (which had once been many years of practice at the FIAT) VAZ engineers with the task of helping the small but proud republic to develop its automotive industry to unprecedented heights. After conducting an inspection of the enterprise, the guests gathered the best personnel to bring to their attention a plan of anti-crisis measures: they hung up blueprints, schemes, prepared to speak. Dzhigits behaved in exactly the same way as the proud sons of the Caucasus, who are recruited by quotas for Russian universities, will behave: at first they simply did not listen, then they began to talk and, in the end, shut up the speakers with their crap and bells.

          The most memorable impression of the plant was the picture of the end of the shift - honest Georgians did not have a checkpoint, and at the end of the working day the watchmen simply opened the gate. Each one carried what he could carry: someone who was a can of paint, who had a coil of wire, etc. The second lulzavodimayuschim picture was the release of finished products. Trucks were distributed among the enterprises of the USSR, and driver-drivers came for them. Colchids pushed out of the factory gates and there the messengers tried to start them, which was far from always possible ... Drivers spent days, weeks and even months (!) In pain, trying to determine why they were not going, and in stubborn attempts to eliminate these causes. Particularly unstable of these Argonauts threw miracle trucks and, swearing, returned from the blessed Colchis back.

          There are cases when, when folding the cab to repair the engine on the highway, the cab itself fell off ..., leaving the driver completely at a loss.

          Also, there are cases when, during Colchis fires, drivers drove firefighters with mounts at the ready. Like, neh ... stew here.

          By the end of the 1970s, KAZ was in a great state of mind because it could not bring up a generation of designers over the previous 10 years. The prospect of being the last Georgians did not appeal, and the country needed an agricultural dump truck. Who else but Georgians is a nation of hardworking farmers who will make it?
          And therefore, people from US were called to save the situation.

          They designed (according to some rumors - whether the Germans have it) oh ... but an innovative dump truck, half consisting of ZIL units, but having a bunch of original features, such as: all-wheel drive, a very wide cab far ahead, with huge windshields, but without any hint of interior upholstery, a place for installing a car radio, spaced from the engine (6-pot diesel for the new ZIL) gearbox, disc parking brake, etc. The last modification of KAZ-4540-01 1990 years already had a hydraulic locking system borto at. Build quality ... X ... e, guess for yourself.

          There was a cool jamb. The power steering on this wonderful car caught a wedge from time to time (like the electric power on Kalina in our time). Naturally, the steering wheel could not be turned off, which drove the driver very much in the forward cab ... There are also known cases of cab overturning on steep descents. The pedals go deep into the floor and the chances of survival, as usual, are minimal.

          After the fall of the scoop, the plant worked for another three years, after which the polymers were sold. In 2002, the plant tried to start assembling Hindu buckets, codenamed Mahindra, but suffered a Fail. Now he produces parts for the Tang agricultural machinery. So it goes.

          The drivers of these last KAZs (and the car was produced from 1985 to 1991) reached the Internet in homeopathic quantities, and therefore you can find a little copy-paste regarding the ease of operation of these items:
          In the years of green youth I had to drive only 320 km on this um car BUT the impressions and fatigue were as if I were driving to the intercity Firstly, it finally dawned on me why the creators of this team stubbornly and proudly called it “mountain tractor” I was driving but there was a small lateral wind and a “Zilovsky” engine which is quite sufficient for ordinary ZiLkovs so dragged this miracle with a huge sail cabin that I had a constant feeling of climbing up a steep mountain Well, if you add that the 4 year old car had near about 90 degrees of play in the steering wheel thanks to the amazing hydraulic booster, and during gear shifting I had to drive the lever all over the cab.
          http://www.gruz-inform.interdalnoboy.com/otzivi-pro-kaz.html

          Somewhere on the Internet, you can dig a 3D model of KAZ, it was made by the CR-team, it even went into the criminal Russia shitbox for GTA SA. Also, this pride of the Georgian people can be found in the modification of the Post USSR Mod for Euro Truck Simulator, ride, thank God, will not give.

    The "new developments" of the Georgian military-industrial complex cannot fail to bring a smile. all of these are well-known weapons with varying degrees of refinement (processing). so to speak "uluchshayzing" with an eye to the possibilities of local production ...
    but be that as it may, Georgia is slowly beginning to produce weapons at home. There is nowhere to go, amers will not give weapons for an infinitely long time, and funds are needed to purchase foreign weapons. however, it is still a long way to the production of promising samples. besides, producing tanks and missiles is not the same as producing gantrucks and mortars ...

      It seems to me that the USSR was also mocked during the formation of its military-industrial complex. He began by copying, then creating his own "clumsy" samples, and in the 41st the Germans faced the best tank in the world. Saakashvili did not receive the reaped monarchy and the whole of Georgia is not only "Misha". If, over time, they create their own competitive military-industrial complex, then rejoice. After all, in essence. The military-industrial complex, automobiles and shipbuilding are the engine of the economy for such a small country. High tech is great, but it's a narrow sector. And in such a production, a lot of subcontractors are involved.

          What scientific schools were there in the USSR in the 20s? Most of the Russian engineers fled. They collected people bit by bit and copied, copied, copied ... The tank "Fighter for freedom comrade Lenin" was made by the efforts of one engineer and two dozen workers. These copies of Renault-FT were the first, unreliable, but they provided the basis for Soviet tank building. It was copies, not Lebedenko's tank or Mendeleev's tank. And in Georgia there are brains. They don't all sell tangerines. Stop looking at people the American way. from high. The irony can be expressed in relation to the political system of Tbilisi. Dear, let me disagree with you a little.
            It’s one thing when creating a copy, a country studied in a new business, which had both scientific, technical, industrial, and raw materials potential (availability, stock, prospects, etc.), but it’s a completely different thing when a country starts to do this, which has none of this. There is simply no place to take from.
            What can they do? Something to modernize or copy in the machine-tractor stations or at the maintenance stations of cars. And even that - in a single copy. The point here is not how to look at the Georgians, but that you need to look at their real capabilities. Here, the Chinese you mentioned have the opportunity to copy and produce, and the Georgians, excuse me, do not have such opportunities.

    It is unlikely that someone will help them. They are only used and helped only secretly and not openly.

    They don’t want to shoot themselves. Hence the conclusion that the next war will put their question of sovereignty in doubt.

    I am an opponent of the Georgian military. However, if you look at it objectively, we must pay tribute to the Georgian specialists. Let their equipment not be so perfect. Or it is a copy of samples of other countries. However, the desire to produce and develop their own weapons deserves respect. They follow the path of the Chinese. In the post-Soviet space, few former republics are currently able to produce and develop weapons even with the help of foreign experts.

    Instead of practicing wit, it would be better to remember who specifically stands behind the Georgians, and far from being fools!
    So it’s better to keep the powder dry and don’t open the mittens in vain ...
    4 years passed, and the Georgians already had their own equipment, and apparently it’s not so bad, and if imported consultants work even harder, then in general very unpleasant surprises can soon wait ...

      But what we see is police weapons rather than army ones (heavier). And the Georgians are likely to produce only light wheeled or tracked "boxes" with machine guns. Although, maybe, "foreign" RPG will attach. More serious equipment requires significantly more advanced technologies and production chains, which is impossible for small Georgia. The Georgians announced the creation of their own tank. Well, we are looking forward ... But, at best, they will only produce individual units, and not the most complex ones. The rest will be supplied by their foreign boyfriends. Yes, and all this confusion is more related to politics, and not to the defense industry.
      In Georgia, the image of an external enemy (big evil Russia) is being created, the younger youth need to be shown that Mishiko can oppose something. To conduct parades on Soviet equipment is the height of idiocy from a political point of view. Western designs are quite expensive, even with generous discounts. So it turns out that they will buy more complicated equipment abroad (there are no options here), and that which is simpler - they will try to localize as much as possible in Georgia. Moreover, it raises a sense of their own greatness (even at the end of 2008, it seems, they were going to beat off the medal "For Victory over Russia", but the insanity did not take place ... there are no medals - the BMP went iron ... ).

    Of course, you can giggle at the exhibition, but the Georgians came to the conclusion. They are trying to save the remnants of production and personnel, albeit from the times of the USSR, despite the still existing cornucopia of weapons from the United States, it is not eternal and they understood it. But this technique is quite enough for police operations and anti-guerrilla warfare.

    So, what do we have in the bottom line:
    BMP "Lasika" - something in between the Russian BMP-1,2 and the American M 113, ie. the BMP wheelbase, reduced by one roller, the body is from M-113, the 23 mm caliber cannon, I don't know with or without a stabilizer. The Georgians themselves wrote that at the show in front of Saakashvili "Lazika" was still without a stabilizer.
    Didgori 1,2-ordinary police armored car of the country of the 3-th world
    Didgori-3-armored Chinese truck, sma scheme resembles Old Man Makhno’s cart
    MLRS "Alarm" -Ukrainian KrAZ, Russian "GRAD", the shells seem to be either Turkish or Romanian, given that BM-21 "Grad" was put into service in 1964, nothing revolutionary
    Mortars-2B11 and 2B14-1 "Tray"
    RPG-7, RPG-26, GP-25 are not discussed
    automatic rifle copy of the German NK-416
    In general, nothing special, especially considering the Georgian assembly. By the way, no one will tell you, before the Georgians wrote that they had concluded a contract with Israel for the supply of Merkava Mk4, and besides, Yushchenko was going to supply them with 12 T-84 Oplot. Did they put them. These would be trophies !!!

    BMP - not really. Similar to the French BMX AMX-10R of the 70s, only with frills. Changeover + classic scheme. Short. But the paint is very good. good one. We won’t be afraid of tank wedges, but they can weld 30-40 pieces. For small arms - the same opinion.
    IMHO: I want to look like a zealous and wise father of the nation. Elections are coming soon. I will look forward to the Mimino attack aircraft.

    As of 01.01.08, the Georgian Air Force had at least 10 Su-25 (including 5 Su-25 and Su-25K, 3 Su-25KM Scorpion and 1 Su-25UB). The Su-25KM received the name "Mimino" in the Georgian Air Force. All aircraft were based at Marneuli Air Base south of Tbilisi. Other figures for the number of Su-25s in the Georgian Air Force are also given:
    12 Su-25 (10 Su-25KM and 2 Su-25UB);
    17 (Su-25KM and Su-25UB);
    18 Su-25 (14 Su-25KM and 4 Su-25UB);
    for 2004 there were 9 Su-25, including 8 Su-25KM, and by mid-2008 - up to 35, incl. 18 Su-25KM;
    from 10-12 single Su-25, only 6 Su-25KM;
    among Su-25 only 2-3 Su-25KM.
    In 2002, the Czech Republic supplied Georgia with 12 decommissioned Su-25Ks, and in 2005 another 3 Su-25s and 1 Su-25UB were acquired in Macedonia (the latter were bought in Ukraine in 2001, but removed in 2004) with weapons). Deliveries of 4 Su-25s from Bulgaria were also reported, but apparently the above-mentioned contract with Macedonia is being discussed, since the latter was carried out through the mediation of the Bulgarian company EMCO.
    At the parade in Kutaisi, 6 Su 25 flew by. Varonline says that with Israeli help it was upgraded from 2-6 to 10-14 (the TAM official website talks about 6 modernized aircraft for the Georgian and Turkmen air forces) http: //www.waronline. org / IDF / Articles / industry / systems / su-25km /. According to the English Wikipedia, the Georgians have 12 Su-25KM, according to the Russian 7 Su-25, of which only 1 Su-25 KM and 1 Su25UB. It seems ours is more true. Waronline’s information is also confirmed that during the war, 888 to 4 Georgian Su-25s were shot down by air defense systems (including 1 shot down from MANPADS or anti-aircraft artillery 08.08.08, another one - Igla MANPADS 11.08.08/08.08.08/XNUMX) , several more were destroyed on the ground during the bombing of Marneuli air base XNUMX.

    I link to the Israeli site http://www.waronline.org/IDF/Articles/industry/systems/su-25km/. Then how can you explain the act that, at the time of the start of the 888 war, Georgia had 12 Su-25 attack aircraft (10 of them in a single and two in a two-seat combat training variant), and 6 flew at a parade in Kutaisi? Moreover, there haven’t been any reports of air disasters from Georgian attack aircraft. Here is a link to the Caucasian forum http://www.milkavkaz.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=52&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start
    = 75 “... In Marneuli during the raid 2 were destroyed and 1 Su-25 was damaged. It turns out that Georgia lost 2 dryers shot down and 2 destroyed on the ground. The degree of damage to the 5th in Marneuli is unknown, although it was said to me that it could well be considered to be irretrievably lost if the techies did not work a miracle ... ”It is alleged that the Georgian Su-25UB No. 21 was destroyed.

      Well, this is not so fundamental. One way or another, Georgia’s Air Force, in fact, didn’t exist even before the conflict - the wrong number. They can support the army only in police operations against a slightly armed enemy. Therefore, they did not carry out special actions against our troops - almost guaranteed suicide.

    I agree, but I do not consider it true that the Georgian Air Force did not suffer 888 losses in the Su-25 during the war. For the following reasons6
    1. The Georgians have repeatedly tried to use their aviation, which, given the complete domination of the Russian Air Force, as well as air defense, could not but cause losses. This is evidenced by the same acts of so-called "friendly" fire on their planes.
    2. Our Air Force constantly attacked the Georgian airfield. including along Marneuli, where the Georgian Su-25s were based before the war, as well as the Tbilisi Aviation Plant.
    3. The facts of the destruction of the Georgian attack aircraft are confirmed by independent sources. I have already provided a link to the Israeli Orum, as well as to the Georgians themselves.
    4. There is a board number of the destroyed Georgian attack aircraft.

    Yes - they do. Yes - they are armed. But (!!!) I have not seen anything fundamentally new and independently worked out, like the Belarusian "Stalker" and "Mosquito". More and more copies and clones. At best, an attempt to militarize civilian technology ...
    At its root, all this is a purely propaganda and agitation action. And this action, naturally, not without the subtext "we ourselves with a mustache" ... No more. But no less ...
    However, an attempt, albeit relatively pale and rickety, to create their own defense industry in the face. And this should not be discounted, and in any case (whether we like it or not!) Must be taken into account ...

    Let the Georgians have reworked Soviet and decommissioned Western equipment from Eastern Europe and the United States. Let them clumsily copy all this. But unfortunately they still have American consultants, they will be able to teach their technicians and engineers wisdom. Do not underestimate your opponent and treat him with a grin. Disdain is always costly. As one clever German general said, "A broken army will learn a lot." I don’t know how the Georgians have learned the lesson of August XNUMX, one thing is clear - Saakashvili wants revenge. And not only he but also the Americans behind him. After all, the defeat of the Georgian army, trained according to American standards and patterns, is like a slap in the face to the States. So it is necessary to monitor Georgia's preparations for a military revenge, especially since the Americans will make every effort to this.
