Light technology in the service of the Russian army

Today, the development of any sphere of life, including the military industry, is impossible without the introduction of modern new technologies. Today, one of the leaders in the production of military lighting industry is the Moscow Searchlight Plant. If you remember historythen it was precisely the searchlights launched at this plant that were assigned an important role in the Great Patriotic War in breaking through the front and completely defeating the fascist troops in the Berlin operation in 1945.

Currently, this company is engaged in the implementation of the state defense order for air defense, for strategic missile forces, engineering and ground forces. The plant conducts research and development, preparation and implementation of mass production of military products, which were developed on the orders of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the leading enterprises. The products that are being developed at the Moscow Searchlight Plant are presented in the form of complex electrical systems of mobile and stationary execution, which include control and protection devices, diesel power stations, as well as distribution and converter cabins.

An example of such a complex is the Pantsir air defense complex, which is designed for ground forces. In the development and creation of the power plant, which is equipped with the C-400 complex, fundamentally new technological solutions were used.

At the moment, modern power supply systems are being developed for such combat arms of the Russian army as engineering troops, space and medical troops, air defense troops, strategic rocket forces, communications troops. Both research and development projects are under the direct control of the Russian military department representatives.

The traditional customer of the plant is the Strategic Missile Forces. It is for them that work is underway on mass production of products for the Topol-M complex. Another regular customer of the plant is air defense troops and the NGO "Almaz". In close cooperation, they were able to carry out development work associated with the creation of installations "Triumphant" and "Favorite". Also began mass production of these installations.
