K-3 - the Armenian automatic machine of the bull-pop system with the possibility of automatic and semi-automatic fire, as well as fire from a grenade launcher. Developed by the Department of Military Industry at the Ministry of Defense of Armenia

History

For the first time, an X-NUMX K-3 machine gun was introduced to a wide audience in the 5,45 year. Despite the fact that the principle of operation of the machine is comparable to the principle of operation of the Kalashnikov machine gun, its configuration is made in the form of a bullpup system, that is, the percussion mechanism and the magazine are located in the butt behind the trigger. According to the main indicators, it is similar to AK-1996, while the Armenian machine gun has a lower price, better accuracy and less return. K-74 for the most part is made of iron. The design of the machine provides the ability to install a standard PSR-3 optical sight with 1-x multiple telescopic zoom, also produced in Armenia. [4]

K-11 (sniper rifle)

K-11 - 5,45 mm sniper rifle of Armenian production. [1] K-11- rifle with manual shutter, has many components of the automatic rifle K-3.
It was first introduced in the 1996 year.

    In general, first impressions ...

"Vagan" - the weapon looks quite archaic. And in spite of the declared characteristics, I personally do not have much confidence in me. And above all, due to insufficient technological elaboration of the design. This is what determined this appearance, which gravitates more towards the second half of the twentieth century ... And this makes you think about the quality of the assembly and the overall reliability of the structure. In addition, they inspire some confusion and the possibility of modernizing this sample ...
K-3 is essentially the next bullpup from AK, and most likely was built without a major overhaul of the prototype design. Therefore, it has all its advantages and disadvantages. Naturally corrected for a bullpup lineup ...
It would be much more logical to make a sniper rifle on the basis of a three-line or, for example, a hunting carbine with manual reset, than to use a receiver "a la Kalashnikov" for this ...

Everything else - the PP and the gun are generally difficult to take seriously. And most likely they more relate to the category of dangerous toys than competitive weapons. Moreover, it is dangerous for the owner ... Signs of poor workmanship on the face. It’s enough to take a closer look at the photos ... I think that the lack of thoughtfulness of the design also takes place. For experience shows that with all its simplicity it’s quite difficult to create a really high-quality pistol or PP. However, this applies equally to all small arms in general ...

However, dashing trouble is the beginning ... Sigapur also once started almost from scratch ... wink

Respected wardThe AK-74 went through a mass of armed conflicts from Afghanistan to Tskhinval. During which he proved himself to be quite effective and extremely reliable weapon, regardless of climatic conditions and other external factors. Its release is organized by a mass series in Izhevsk. It has a number of modifications and options. Calibrated for different types of cartridges, both domestic and foreign. Issued under license (and without it) in at least a dozen countries. In terms of cost / effectiveness, it is one of the best in the world (if not the best) among representatives of its class ...

Can you say the same about the "Vagan"? .. Well, at least half of this? .. Or is there some part of everything that can be said about the AK-74? .. K-3 does not count, it is same Kalash ...

The phrase "according to reviews" is very, very loose. And for this, it is advisable for the Kag-Bae to initially clarify "according to the reviews" who exactly ... However, even "and further in the text" does not at all carry the answers to questions ...

And it’s damn interesting how to correctly and correctly interpret your phrase “who fought on the side of Armenia”? .. After all, as far as I know, Armenia does not officially wage wars with any state ...

The cartridges are still of Soviet caliber, but it would be interesting to try out all these units in practice (naturally at the shooting range).
For example, it was possible to hold the Chechen analogue of ultrasound under the Makarov cartridge in hands - it was something (just like the notorious "Wolf"). A noisy and more dangerous product for the shooter from the former hammer and sickle plant in Grozny. Aiming is useless. The store sometimes had to be held, because it fell out.

I don’t understand - why change a rather reliable Soviet weapon for this semi-kustarshina? A better mass model of military weapons than AK has not been invented. Of course, you can tinker with sniper rifles - develop your own model, but sniper rifles are expensive and piece goods. And the cost of the "weapon" presented in the article is several times higher than the AK - due to the size of the series.

And in general - a good weapon is good in itself - even aesthetically. It’s unpleasant to pick up the presented gun. Even the TT is more ergonomic, not talking about the PM or CZ-75

Beauty is not only aesthetics for the owner, but evidence of a high level of design and production culture. The presented samples are more like the product of a single handicraftsman or a bicycle workshop.

No, I don’t understand - why rivet such something if you can buy analogues? The same Americans, not having invented anything better than the 1911 Colt, without hesitation for the army, buy the Italian "Beretta", for the special forces - the Austrian "Glocks" and German "Heckler-Kochs". If you wanted to - they designed something in their own USA, but calculated - and decided to buy it more profitably.

With all due respect to the opinion of the participants in the discussion, I want to note a few points on the basis of which I evaluated this publication.
1.Armenia is a very poor country surrounded by countries that, to put it mildly, are not completely friendly to Russia, the main supplier of weapons. Consequently, during the period of hostilities, the supply of weapons will be extremely difficult.
    2. Small arms, most importantly, at least they must shoot, the reliability of this is checked in Karabakh
    3. The machine and the pistol were not intended for export, but only to compensate for the natural, and rather high, decrease during the war, so common calibers and ammunition were chosen.
    4. The weapon can be made at the enterprises with limited technological capabilities
    5. As for the beauty, remember the Sudaevskiy automatic machine, compared to the PPSh and MP-40, it is just a monster, but it was produced in "bed workshops" and was recognized as one of the best submachine guns of the 2nd world war.
Conclusion: - the Armenians coped with the task perfectly well done fellow

Morlodzi guys !! Well done, they’ve created their weapons production out of nothing. While they are making small arms for their army. And we have developments and we only show them new weapons on TV, executed in single copies. And they’ll plan to buy from the cordon, supposedly better there. But any knows, you need to have your own. Foreign requires foreign service and components for repair. And IF TOMORROW is a war, and even with those who sold it to us, you just have to throw it away. Officials from the MO profit from these purchases and will remain with their profits, and our Army will remain without a weapon.
