Hellcat II - Inter Ordnance Compact Concealable Pistol

10
The IO company (Inter Ordnance, USA) presented to the general public a compact Hellcat II pistol under the 9 mm Short cartridge .380 ACP. The new gun was designed based on HellCat. The Hellcat II pistol differs from the prototype by a modified frame, sights, trigger mechanism and ejector. For shutter casings used high quality armory steel. The frames of both pistols consist of two parts - a shell with a handle and a steel frame. On the steel frame there are guides for attaching and moving the shutter-casing, to which parts of the trigger mechanism are attached.

For the operation of automatics, a scheme of using recoil during the short stroke of the barrel is implemented. Locking is carried out by a declining breech, which enters by its rectangular protrusion, which is located above the chamber, into the window for ejection of the shutter-casing shells. The reduction of the breech occurs during the interaction of the transverse pin and the bevel of the lower tide of the breech breech. On the guide rod under the barrel are two return springs of different diameters. Trigger mechanism - self-cocking, hammer type. In this case, the trigger mechanism Hellcat II does not allow for re-striking the cartridge primer with a misfire by simply pressing the trigger.

In the event of a misfire, you must remove the defective cartridge by sending the next cartridge into the chamber. In such situations, it is this method that is recommended by most schools of combat shooting. This principle of operation of the trigger mechanism is the most optimal for compact concealed carry pistols, which is Hellcat II. The gun does not have a slide delay and a manually operated safety lever. The design of Hellcat II is maximally simplified in order to achieve simplicity in handling, reliability in operation, cost reduction and weight reduction. The gun has a very small size and weight. With a length of 131 millimeter and a thickness of 21 millimeter, the gun weighs 255 grams.

Of course, with the 9-mm caliber and such a small weight, the Hellcat II has a strong return, so constant training with this gun is problematic. It is not intended for plinking and regular firing. Hellcat II is a utilitarian hidden wear tool used for self-defense. It can also be used as a spare weapon. Hellcat II fits into a pocket holster or jeans pocket without any problems; it will not unmask itself and cause inconvenience. With a barrel length of 70 millimeters, the initial velocity of the bullet is 373 meters per second. The magazine latch is located at the base of the trigger guard on the left side of the frame. The Hellcat II ammunition comes from a box magazine on 6 rounds.

Sights: the sight, which is a wide longitudinal groove in the bolt-casing, which runs from the ejection window of the sleeves to its rear part, and the front sight, which has a contrasting green insert. Such devices provide accurate and fast aiming when using weapons for self-defense at short distances. In general, Hellcat II is an excellent choice if you need a simple and reliable weapon of self-defense, quite compact, comfortable and inconspicuous during everyday wear. Recommended retail price - 250 US dollars.

This toy is marketed as a "last-chance weapon" when the main barrel is lost or the cartridges run out.

Hardly. Grandmothers will tear off hands with recoil. The cartridge is very powerful for such a toy. The developers had to use our cartridge 9 * 18 from PM. And cheaper and grannies would already have a higher chance of staying with their hands. And so the gun looks nice, the only question is reliability when using and safety when wearing.

damn how I want a gun! crying

While the current politicians and parties are in power, we will be content with hunting, nor of any short-barrel ...
    A small example (though old):
Although events are taking place in Ukraine, it is simply unreasonable for us to exclude such an option. How to deal with this?
Former deputy of the Sofievsky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Alexander Taran, was sentenced to 2 years probation for murder. The corresponding decision was made by the Dovgintsev court of Krivoy Rog.
Ram was stripped of his powers after becoming a suspect in the case. He was charged with the articles "murder", "hooliganism" and "careless handling of weapons."
The crime took place in July 2010. According to the deputy himself, during the investigative experiment, the conflict arose on the pond, where "mere mortals have no right to swim next to officials."
The deputy grabbed a machine gun and shot a 25-year-old man in front of his wife and son. The man died on the spot, the deputy disappeared and went to hospital. The people's deputy hid the weapon, and later he himself showed where.
During the trial, the shooting of a man in broad daylight called the people's deputy self-defense. Taran was released right in the courtroom.

      - Why do authorities in developed countries respect human rights?
      - Because a person has the right to bear arms !!!
