New tracks for Russian tanks and Rays of Pain

36
The Russian Ministry of Defense approved the draft of a new heavy platform for Armata armored vehicles - a single tracked platform for heavy tanks, Infantry fighting vehicles, barrage vehicles, etc. These platforms will begin to be adopted by individual motorized rifle and tank brigades of the Ground Forces, starting in 2015.

Major-General A. Shevchenko, Head of the Main Automobile and Armored Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, when announcing the approval, said: "The project meets all the requirements of the military department at the level of the technical project. This product will be seen in metal in three years," he was quoted as saying. Interfax and ITAR-TASS.

Shevchenko recalled that this project is being successfully implemented by Uralvagonzavod. "The Ministry of Defense is satisfied with the progress of works that are going in full compliance with the schedule," the general said. “It’s a fighting machine, but I’d not call it a tank now,” he concluded.

"At the same time, the Ministry began a large-scale utilization of outdated automobile and armored vehicles, which cannot be modernized," Shevchenko said. According to the general, this primarily affected the T-64, T-62 and T-55 tanks.

In addition, there is a massive transfer of the car park to diesel fuel. ZIL-31 and GAZ-66 cars are being withdrawn from the park. “In the near future, the Ural and KamAZ will become the main park cars,” the general said.

March 22, Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, said that in the Russian Federation before the end of the year a program to create a non-lethal weapons - gene, radiation, wave and psychophysical. It should appear after 2020.

Serdyukov said this during a meeting on the implementation of the tasks that Prime Minister Vladimir Putin outlined in program articles. In particular, one of these articles refers to the need to create these types of weapons. The amount of funding for development is not specified.

As reported earlier RIA "News“a device was created by Russian scientists that can instantly disable electronic components of various enemy weapons systems. A device whose size does not exceed the size of a small portfolio can stop a tank at a distance, knock a fighter off course, and undermine a radio-controlled mine. that, in addition to the equipment of the enemy, civilian electronics are also blocked.

Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of National Defense, director of the Center for Analysis of the World Trade in Arms, giving an interview to Kommersant FM, noted that the creation of weapons operating on new physical principles is the right decision, since it is these tools that will be used in future wars.

“If a hundred years ago someone presented the appearance of, for example, nuclear weapons, this would be an absolutely unthinkable thing. Similarly, today we don’t know how fundamental science and technological progress can unwittingly contribute to the creation of unthinkable today and totally destructive weapons ", - he said.

"Of course, the decision to start development in the Russian Federation will largely depend on the pace of similar work in other countries, primarily in the United States and NATO," the expert said.

For example, in the United States develop the so-called "ray of pain" and "telepathic gun." In fact, these developments are quite simple, and the names were invented to be intimidated, notes Ilya Kramnik, a military analyst.

“As far as can be judged, the“ telepathic gun ”will be the emitter of ultrasound, which, as we know, can cause a person to feel a sense of panic, fear. Thus, a non-lethal weapon is obtained,” the expert explains.

“Again, the Rays of Pain are a high-frequency radiator. The same effect can be observed when you are near a working radar, which in itself is dangerous to health and can cause serious injuries,” said the analyst.

Recall also that a list of non-lethal weapons allegedly leaked from the Pentagon hit the Web in January. The list includes sound waves, heat rays and lasers. According to the description, they can be used for a variety of purposes - from the dispersal of demonstrations to the disorientation of enemy equipment and people. Some of them are technologies of the future, previously encountered exclusively in science fiction books.

      ultrasound.

It has now been proven that a focused narrow beam of ultrasonic vibrations can cause temporary, reversible (or permanent, irreversible) damage to nerve cells. Ultrasound destroys both the white and gray matter of the brain.

    And this is suggestive ...
If by the year 20 the US missile defense system will be launched, such an option may pass. The Russian leadership will say "We cannot do anything with the United States and let them control our army and fleet with the Strategic Missile Forces." So that there are no demonstrations, such a weapon will be used .. The idea is of course unrealistic, but still such a plan has the right to life .. Just if you think about it, the RF Armed Forces do not participate anywhere to use this type of weapon. With a beam weapon in the Caucasus, it’s clear you won’t run around, and you won’t scare China away with psychophysics .. Your own population remains.

Threw such a briefcase on the battlefield - and that’s it! The main factor of victory will immediately become the soldier's fighting spirit and his endurance, but this is just not our soldier to take. But the NATO soldier will not even take a rifle without a heated toilet.

Good news and expected by me personally. We had a sea of excellent people in this matter. The effect of using such weapons can be colossal. You can jam all NATO smart weapons (and these are not dreams, everything is absolutely real). Toto, I see a sharp "silence" in the last few years in terms of serious publications on this topic.

I did not understand, but along the way we are talking about electromagnetic weapons of functional destruction, so I can assure you not everything is so smooth with it, a small radius of action (several hundred meters), the impact on your electronic systems (if you are considering a suitcase, in the missile variant to install Grad, the radius of the electromagnetic wave is not much larger than the radius of the destruction of fragmentation ammunition, and the cost is higher), and the enemy does not stand still developing protection systems from high-frequency electromagnetic pulses, in general, this weapon is effective only against civilian equipment.

Well, I'm sorry I can't look into the bowels of this suitcase. Well, if we are talking about how to "drive crazy" the positioning system, then I remember the operating samples with a mass of 3 kg had a range of 50 km, and with 10 kg - 150 km.
The truth about harm to civilian equipment was usually about weapons that create short, as they are also called, "nanosecond" pulses of electromagnetic radiation (EMP) of enormous power, exceeding the power of the EMP of a nuclear explosion. With the help of this thing, it was planned to even disable warships. So there was a solution for the range of use. Which one? Well, excuse me, let the spies work out their bread, and so they google millet and that's it.

About the Navstar SRNS (GPS) suppression systems, I can inform you that the ground-based REP with the SRNS are not effective (small range - in the line of sight = <50 km), therefore, we have been (maybe still seeming) the development of REP aviation complexes (for example, a RED "Discomfort" complex based on a transport aircraft with a range of RED <300 km) so suitcases will not work here.

How to say, we only have units of equipment in storage, which is enough for everything. In addition, the army is reduced to 1mln. So soon they can reach the T-72 / 80 request
This is due to the re-equipment and increase of salary, the Defense Ministry completely reduces the equipment, thereby saving on the storage and maintenance of combat readiness of this equipment.

When a universal system or a single platform is heard from the mouth of the Ministry of Defense, then an anecdote about a military doctor, a pill and a recommendation comes to mind ... don't mix it up. Universal and unified ... it means that neither one nor the other ... there is weak, it does not hold out here, the main thing is that it looks glamorous, in a modern way, after all, what is immediately morally (not technically) outdated. At the same time, the Ministry began a large-scale utilization of obsolete automobile and armored vehicles that cannot be modernized, "Shevchenko said. According to the general, this primarily affected the T-64, T-62 and T-55 tanks "... yes, this moralism is only in our vast Motherland, in the world from Israel to Vietnam, all of this is being perfectly modernized. That is. this has already passed military equipment will be sold at the price of metal, while saving on uncompletion and cutting, which will be proudly reported on saving money, only in China such metal turned out to be not a bad aircraft carrier.

With today's large-scale sawing of "grandmothers" in the Serdyukov Defense Ministry, such plans, apart from caution, cannot provoke. their provision. 20 years have passed since then, some are still waiting. Israel made heavy infantry fighting vehicles out of captured T-55s and they are great at fighting. We are in a hurry to sell everything and there is nothing to grab to grab without sheep. And information about new types of weapons being developed in the Russian Federation was inserted into the article for optimism.
