Adaptive Carabiner Platform

Famous manufacturer weapons and accessories Sig Sauer introduced a platform for quick and easy transformation of a pistol into a carbine. The Adaptive Carbine Platform (ACP) SIG SAUER allows virtually any pistol equipped with an accessory rail (rail interface system) to be quickly transformed into a personal defense weapon or a submachine gun. Most pistols with accessories, regardless of brand, can be fitted with an ACP without having to make changes to the pistol itself.

Made from solid aviation aluminum, the ACP is mounted on an M1913 accessory strap in the 3, 6 and 9 watches with a full-size top strap in the 12 watches position. To achieve additional functionality, compatible accessories such as lights and laser designators can be installed.

The front integral handle protects the shooter from the danger of touching the gun barrel. To ensure quick access to the gun equipped with ACP, integral quick-release fasteners are installed allowing it to be hung on the strap.

ACPs do not limit the gunner’s access to the pistol frame, thus providing a short training period and convenient weapon operation. It is also compatible with most sound silencers.

The ACT is issued in the following modifications:

ACP - The basic model allows you to quickly, easily transform and work with most pistols with a lower assortment bar.

ACP-Enhanced - Expanded version includes a new laser designator, quick-release straps.

ACP-LE - The folding butt model is designed for use by military / law enforcement. Civilian buyers must comply with the requirements for possession of short-barreled weapons.

ACP-CPL - Model with quick-release strap attached at one point and equipped with a compact laser pointer.
CPL-ZK (also known as Zombie Killer) - Model with one-point quick release strap and equipped with a compact laser designator. It is completed with a hard case with a zipper.

Gentlemen, experts, explain to me why increase the size of the pistol without increasing the effectiveness of the weapon? The meaning of the pistol is in its small dimensions, multiplied by the sufficient power of the ammunition, plus the possibility of hidden carrying. Why sculpt something big out of it? After all, modern pistols can also be hung without any problems with LCC and holographic / collimator sights. Is it more convenient to shoot? But then is it not easier to immediately use just PPs, which can also work both in single and in bursts, and in size just fit what is obtained from a pistol after converting into such an under-carbine? The same "Brugger & Thomet MP-9" and "Heckler & Koch MP7" are clearly more effective, and the dimensions with folded butts are the same, if not less.

In countries where short-barreled weapons and ammunition can be bought by an ordinary citizen, for those who like to shoot and feel like a cool "attack aircraft" these platforms are being made, for Russia it may become relevant only after the legislation changes.

Ponty is of course the engine of trade, but the effectiveness (accuracy of shooting) of the gun increases significantly, especially when using the stock.
By the way, this papelats in the store costs about 500 American rubles for a tricked out option.

Usually platforms are made for powerful pistols, chambered for 9x19 mm and more powerful, from a pistol due to a more convenient and rigid hold and a body kit with a flashlight, sight and designator, "assault weapon" is obtained. Often used are weapons that have the ability to conduct automatic fire and magazines with a capacity of 32 rounds or more (Glock, Bereta).

    Owl,
Thank. In general - for show-offs more than for practice.

Remember the Naked Gun series movies with Leslie Nielsen?
There, in one Negro, he gradually collects a gun from a pistol - apparently the designer was guided by these considerations ...

In this case, the sample is not very successful in my opinion. However, the idea itself is very promising. I think these are the first steps to create a transformable, individual weapon.

this "prospect" has existed for a very long time - since 1950, when the Stechkin automatic pistol was published.

Okay, skeptic experts explain to me stupid why, in the pistol, the stechkin holster also plays the role of a butt. chances to hit the target with a conventional pistol

Dig deeper. Much earlier APS were "Mauser" K-96 and "Luger" with clip-on butts and large-capacity magazines, this, of course, if you mean these features.
In general, a "trinket" can be very useful and convenient.

Guys, don't swear. It is said - "a well-known manufacturer of accessories". Means for the civilian market. I heard that allegedly in the same USA, out of 100% of all the firearms available in the country (we are not talking about tanks, raptors and aircraft carriers), both rifled and smoothbore - 90% are in the hands of the population and only 10% are in the troops! And we have a turkey Sukhodolsky (thank God, drink ...... whether already from the Ministry of Internal Affairs) said - our people are not yet ready to have weapons in their hands. Dibil. The people are not ready, and who is ready - the crime?

There is no sense anyway - the accuracy of shooting due to holding the weapon with an emphasis on the shoulder, with both hands and using the collimator increases markedly
And most importantly - it becomes accessible even to dummies, since very few actually know how to shoot a pistol, and very many, if not all, of a weapon with a butt
Yes, the collimator can be put on a regular gun, but almost no one puts it in real life;)
And here it is attached to the upper weaver and looks natural

In general, if you can’t go and buy a B&T MP9 (nee Steyr TMP), then such a kit kit can be had just in case
