ARMY-2016. Preface to understand
So, we begin our story about visiting the ARMY-2016 forum. Last year it was, let's say, the first attempt at writing. Arrived one day, filmed what they could and went down. This year everything was a little different, and we spent on the forum all three days, when the show was “not for everyone”.
This, by the way, was the main difference from last year. Not bad from the point of view of the correspondent. This year, the organizers decided to make the first three days for guests and the press, and the next - for everyone to see. What I immediately notice is a great solution. For the pandemonium, which we observed last year, is quite comparable with the Babylonian one. This work was easier.
Although I can not help but notice that for every smart decision, the organizers found a couple of actions that completely neutralize themselves. Army, what they wanted ...
But I'll start from the beginning. And in the beginning there was a letter from the interaction group in which we were informed that we were allowed to the forum. Perfectly. And at the same time there was a list of what will be shown on the forum, from which not just drooling, head, sorry, dizzy. “Armata”, “Coalition”, “Msta”, “Kurganets”, BMPT-14, Su-30CM, Su-35 and others, albeit less new, but no less interesting pieces from our military-industrial complex.
By the way, there are no complaints to the Ministry of Defense. After reading the letter after it again, I never found any mention of who will be shown everything that we have the right to be proud of. It turned out on the spot that they would not show us, and, especially, not mere mortals. Will show in the closed mode to those who probably will be able to buy all this.
And the closed shows are varganili on the principle of "all for the client." On the first day, bringing us to the landfill for a dynamic display (when they ride and shoot), the organizers did not blink, apologizing, however, they put us under lock and key for two hours. Since the unscheduled closed show began. Apparently, someone jumped into the head to see something "here and now." It was, by the way, it's funny. The castle served as riot policemen, drawn from nowhere, who was not allowed to move further than three meters from the entrance to the press center. And to argue with riot police ... In short, they also saw booze. Everything from the “1 channel” to us.
After watching the show, we decided that we would not go to these dynamic shows anymore. There is so little time, and it is too expensive to spend it on an overtly old type T-72 (even B3) and Shilka with the Tunguska.
And, after carefully thinking, we began to look for new items. What will be really interesting to talk about. It turned out there. True, we must be like and search. The main part of the exhibition was filled with equipment made in the USSR, but at the edges one could find a lot of interesting things. And we found.
Yes, probably, unfortunately, the main majority of readers, about our new means of destruction, we will not write anything special and will not show, alas. But, nevertheless, there will be materials about modern Russian developments, the essence of which we understood far from immediately. And when they understood, they grabbed a frank thrill from understanding. We hope that you will have only positive emotions.
In general, even in six days, it’s impossible to bypass everything that is presented at the exhibition. That is just to go and see completely, but to talk, take off, and even so that people told, is difficult. Not always, unfortunately, people who are able to develop and embody "what they are" in the metal can talk about it beautifully on camera. But everyone tried.
In general, the impressions of the forum were positive. If we throw aside some frankly strange overruns of the organizers (such as the unparalleled idea of paid parking) and the age-old army mess, it is very good.
But there is only one question. Why can't Russians be shown what they pay for? Why can we see the latest developments in action only on TV and without any comments? A strange attitude. Carefully watching the flags on the passes, from what I know, saw China, Vietnam, the Emirates, Brazil, India, Pakistan, Iran. About the African countries just keep quiet, in the course they were there all who have money. Although one has also been.
It was probably the biggest negative. It would be desirable, of course, to see our new products point-blank, but if it is impossible, then it is impossible.
For the rest, we can say that the forum was a success. It was quite good in terms of information support, this year there were more student volunteers who tried their best to help find one or another object. And it almost always worked.
There were a lot of radio medical students on tricycles with first-aid kits. There was even a bike for those wishing to hire. But the most popular vehicle after buses running between the clusters was a folding scooter.
Evaluating our work, I think that it turned out quite well. Many saw many filmed. So I think everyone will like. And let's start, perhaps, with a new cluster, which should have been opened just at the beginning of the forum, the VKS cluster.
