Report from TsNIITOCHMASH. Part I. Weapons and ammunition

As promised, we continue to acquaint our readers with the news MIC of Russia ....

In December 2011 of the year in Klimovsk near Moscow on the basis of the "Central Research Unit" TsNIITOCHMASH "demonstrated complexes, weapons and combat equipment, offered by Russian enterprises of the military-industrial complex for the Armed Forces of Russia. The event was held in the framework of the operational and special gathering of command personnel The Main Committee of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Participants in the operational special gathering of ground forces officers familiarized themselves with the practical use of a number of developments demonstrated at TsNIITOCHMASH on the second day as part of the event at a special training ground and in the location of the 4th separate guards tank Kantemirovskaya brigade.

We offer a brief photo report on the results of a trip to TsNIITOCHMASH for this event.

Part I. Weapon and ammunition

1. Automatic machine-based grenade launcher AGS-17 "Flame" (index GRAU 6-X10)

AGS-17 "Flame" is one of the most effective types of weapons of the ground forces, it has proven itself in combat operations in Afghanistan and the North Caucasus. The grenade launcher is compact enough, reliable, convenient for transportation and carrying, but at the same time it has a high combat effectiveness comparable to light infantry mortars of the 50mm caliber.

2. Universal machine 6У6 for installation 12.7mm large-caliber machine gun "Kord" (index GRAU 6П50)

3. Grenades (shots) to grenade launchers and manual grenade launchers of 40mm caliber

New types of grenades (shot) to grenade launchers of type GP-25 "Bonfire" / GP-30 "Obuvka" / GP-34. Firing of them can be worn on 5,45-mm machines AK74 (AKS74, AK74M, AK107, AEK-971, AN-94), 5,56-mm machines AK101, AK108 and AEK-971, and on 7,62-mm AKM ( AKMS, AK103, AK109, AEK-973). These ammunition may fire from hand-held grenade launchers of the type RG-6 (index GRAU 6G-30).

4. 60mm special purpose hand grenades

Used in special operations and combat operations, as well as during the dispersal of riots.

The LDC is a personal weapon of concealed attack and defense, intended both for use as a piercing-cutting edged weapon, and for silent and flameless shooting at an effective range of up to 25. Uses special cartridge SP-4.

7. Special 7,62mm self-loading pistol PSS "Vul" (index GRAU 6П28)

MSS is a personal covert attack and defense small arms designed for silent and flameless shooting at an effective range of up to 50. Uses special cartridge SP-4.

7. 9-mm self-loading pistol upgraded "Gurza" (index GRAU SR.1M)

8. Special underwater 4.5mm pistol SPP-1M

A four-shot pistol for firing under water is used by special units of the Russian Navy. When firing special ATP cartridges (4,5x39) with bullets of high elongation in the form of a rod with a double truncated cone are used. Stabilization of the bullet in the water is due to the formation around the bullet during the movement of the cavitation cavity. The gun is easy to use, reliable and highly effective when firing under water at a distance of up to 20m.

9. Special underwater 5.66mm automaton APS

APS special submachine gun for firing under water is used by special units of the Russian Navy. When firing, special MPS cartridges (5,45x39) with bullets of high elongation in the form of a rod with a double truncated cone are used. The sleeve is used from the cartridge 5,45х39, it contains a propellant powder charge, ejecting a bullet from the barrel and activating the automatic weapons, based on the use of the energy of gases discharged from the hole in the wall of the barrel. Stabilization of the bullet in the water is due to the formation around the bullet during the movement of the cavitation cavity. The machine is easy to use, reliable and highly efficient when shooting underwater at a distance of up to 30m.

I remember how before the parade on November 7, 1990, in which for the first time 3 of our PU RK "Topol" were supposed to participate, the task was set by one of the high-sitting designers to repaint the PU under camouflage. I will not tell you how this process took place in detail, who served in the army will understand that Feng Shui is resting! As always, everything was decided by military ingenuity and resourcefulness, The result was kind of good.
In the future, they seemed to have abandoned this idea, more of this .... they didn’t do it.

we were overtaken in quality because the military acceptance was canceled in the Russian Federation, we stopped keeping statistics on refusals in the troops, and also because of the absence of any responsibility for marriage and drank allocated funds. as well as a meager salary and loss of prestige among employees of the military industry.
