I believe that this is simply an axiom that should be: everything related to the production of military products, everything should be completely independent of the situation in international politics. Everything should be focused, or almost everything, on the territory of Russia.

Nevertheless, now we have dramatically increased the proportion of what we do with our own hands, we have reduced the type of spacecraft by itself, we have found universal solutions where designers can use each other’s practices, created a design bureau in our country. And the production of these elements themselves is either on the territory of Russia, or on the territory of Belarus, which is our ally in this matter, or on the territory of those countries that have not joined the sanctions.
The same applies to machine tools, it was completely overwhelmed in the 90-s in our country and did not develop. Therefore, nowadays, high-precision machine tools are being developed at an accelerated rate, which we use in the military-industrial complex, in civilian sectors, aircraft industry, in space ... But still, this cannot be replaced at once. For 2 of the year, this is just a frivolous task setting. Therefore, somewhere we continue to deliver something from other partners who have not joined this wave of sanctions. But still the bet on import substitution. We will decide the main, most difficult positions in 18.

When today we have 80 percent of all long-range aircraft - these are foreign aircraft, this is a big mistake. Therefore, with a certain regularity, we hold all sorts of meetings with the aviation industry, with designers, with technologists. We allocate the necessary money for promising work. And in the end, what do we have? As a result, we have today the fact that we have made a huge step in the development of our combat aviation recently. Take, for example, the Sukhoi aircraft, this is Su-30CM, Su-35С, a promising aviation complex of front-line aviation. The new MIG is now on our way, that is, the 35. The production of IL-76 from Tashkent to Ulyanovsk is completely transferred. Created a new upgraded aircraft on 80 percent updated - IL-476. Work is underway to modernize strategic aviation. I can continue to tell many, many, many, not to mention the SuperJet.
Just the other day, we reported to the president about the beginning of flight tests of our newest aircraft engine.
