In addition, the Russian Su-24M bombers dropped high-explosive aerial bombs on a militants transshipment point located in a mountainous wooded area near the town of Salma in the province of Lattakia. Both the point itself and ammunition depots and underground shelters of the terrorist group were destroyed.
The blows were also inflicted on militant positions in the Syrian province of Idlib.
From the message of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation:
This object (object in the province of Idlib) was used as a large accumulative point, which trains militants from different countries. This is confirmed by the data of radio interceptions, which fix negotiations in several foreign languages among terrorists. This terrorist training base was identified as a result of various types of intelligence. The site is equipped with all necessary infrastructure elements for the deployment and training of terrorists. The frames show hangars with military equipment, workshops for the conversion of high-traffic vehicles with large-caliber machine guns, storage rooms for the storage of ammunition, weapons and logistics, park areas and areas for training terrorists, as well as places for militants. As a result of the pinpoint strikes of the Russian aviation, the large terrorist training center for militants has been destroyed.
