Bykhov airbase
Writes antares-610: At the Bykhov airfield until 1990, the 57th Smolensk marine missile carrier was based aviation Division (mrad) of the Baltic Air Force fleet and consisted of two Guards Red Banner Regiments: the 170th Smolensk and 240th Sevastopol-Berlin Mrap. Operated aircraft Tu-22M2 and M3, and, earlier, Tu-16.

And from the aerodrome betonka, which has now become a rural road, leads to the RTB (military base for the storage of nuclear ammunition) of the Air Force of the Baltic Fleet, the 24-th army arsenal of nuclear weapons. Here work was carried out under the heading "Top Secret of Special Importance."
16. In a former fuel depot, one of the collective farmers set up a warehouse for themselves, or a garage for a tractor.
17. Assembly and assembly case. A truck (probably, YAZ-219) with nuclear weapons in the back of the gate, and, accompanied by several machine gunners, headed for the airfield where Tu-16 was waiting for him. 20. The core, the most dangerous component, was taken out of the container in disposable gloves. There was a limited working day. This is the whole "protection" and consisted. Dosimeters were not.
21. In a straight line from the gate, the tractor entered the gate of the building where the items were stored. Already by the middle of 1958, the casemates of the special object were filled with products to the eyeballs, and since then they have never been empty.
22. To the left of the gate is the entrance to the outbuildings.
23. It was closed by two semicircular security doors, filled with concrete from the inside. Internal marauders could not pull out just because it does not physically pass through the opening.

28. There are emergency hatches from the rooms adjoining the sealed turns through them.
