The second part is devoted to the events of July and some moments of work of the "Voentorg".
On July 1, the junta naturally violated the truce and having guarantees from the Americans that Russia would not intervene directly, it launched an offensive to destroy New Russia. The work of the Voentorg in June did not receive a proper assessment, which subsequently played a fatal role for the junta.
The offensive that began was successfully developed for the junta - having overwhelming superiority in armored vehicles, artillery, infantry and aviation over the militia, the junta, instead of direct frontal attacks on key points, began to flow around them, striking in those areas where the militia, due to lack of forces, could not create the proper density of troops. For example - against the existing Slavyansk besides captured in the spring of 6 BMD (including the famous "Nona"), 3 tanks, 5 infantry fighting vehicles and 3 armored personnel carriers, as well as 3 artillery pieces, the enemy concentrated more than 100 tanks and about 300 other armored units, more than 80 artillery systems, including Tornadoes and Hurricanes, which began to be widely used at the front in July .
In the battles of 2-4 in July, Slavyansk, where the most efficient forces of Novorossia were located, was in the operational bag. The last major road to Slavyansk was blocked, the remnants of the Nikolaevka garrison (during the fighting, the militia commander 2 made a real betrayal, exposing the front) led by Motorola, hardly caught on the center of the settlement, which was surrounded and practically cut off from Slavyansk.
In the battles for Nikolayevka, which decided the fate of Slavyansk, in addition to betrayal, there was also a kind of sabotage, when the ATGMs set up by the "voentorg" did not work at the decisive moment (the whole batch of more than 30 pieces turned out to be in the Slavyansk and junta then showed as trophies), which led to great losses of the militia during the junta’s tank attack that cut Nikolayevka. Actually and earlier, cases of receipt of defective ammunition, defective anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons were systematically noted. And this does not apply to trophies from the battlefield or Ukrainian military units, but above all supplies through the line of "Voentorg". Whether it was negligence or deliberate sabotage is a rhetorical question.
In the end, a complex of objective factors made the fall of Slavyansk a matter of time. Both in Kiev, and in Donetsk, and in Moscow there were forces that were waiting for the projected final of the “Slavic epic” - the heroic death of Strelkov and his units in the Slavic cauldron, after which it would be possible to finish off Novorossia without any problems. In Donetsk, no one was preparing for defense, moreover, negotiations were held on the surrender of the city (among the participants are the mayor of Donetsk, Lukianchenko, the police chief Pozhidaev, the minister of the DPR headquarters, Khodakovsky), which were attended by some of the DPR leaders and authorities since then (after all, the DPR existed around 3 months at the beginning of July) obeying the fascist junta. In the south, the southern grouping of troops begins to move toward the border, and a strike is also being made on Izvarino from the north of the Luhansk region. The goal is simple - to surround Slavyansk and destroy the Strelkov detachment and at the same time in converging directions build giant "cannes" for the whole of Novorossia, cutting it off from Russia and thereby block supply channels. In general, by the evening of July 4, after just 4 days after the start of the junta, Novorossia found itself on the edge of the disaster.
This is followed by the famous Strelkov maneuver, which leaves Slavyansk and Kramatorsk and goes to Donetsk. Along the way, left Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka, Semenovka. Having no Soledar captured in the rear and the forces of the junta in Artyomovsk, Strelkov had no opportunity to create an intermediate position between Donetsk and Slavyansk. Having much less power, he would still be swept from the flank and threatened to please the new boiler between Artyomovsk and Donetsk.
In Donetsk, the local conspiracy is accelerated to surrender the city. Lukianchenko flees Kiev from Donetsk, Pozhidaev runs, the local militia submitting to Kiev finally disarms, Khodakovsky flies from the post of Minister of the DPR GB. The hysterical trip to Donetsk Kurginyan and the subsequent hysterical informational attack on Strelkov finally revealed the backstage negotiations of the Russian and Ukrainian oligarchy and the attempts to surrender the Donetsk junta.
Soon Pushilin, apparently related to the conspiracy case, leaves. At the same time, it was not possible to completely suppress the fifth column in Donetsk, as the Riflemen were afraid to get a mini-war in Donetsk itself between the militia units, therefore some of the conspirators escaped deserved punishment. From Moscow, General GB Antyufeev sent to control the processes in the DPR, who, on the one hand, cleaned up the consequences of the conspiracy, but on the other hand, began setting up his people, preparing the ground for political decisions beneficial to Moscow. For the same reasons, the unified command did not work out - the coordination structure created at Strelkovo was able to provide only basic coordination, in general, the field commanders carried out an independent policy. People like Kozitsyna were never brought to a common denominator.
Only after that, Donetsk begins to seriously prepare for defense, and considering the fact that it has not yet been taken (and then the various service personnel of the fifth column, like Kurginyan, screamed that Strelkov had passed Slavyansk, he would surrender Donetsk too), in fact, Strelkov saved then Donetsk and Donetsk People's Republic. Nevertheless, the situation continued to worsen, the junta's troops following the retreating Strelkov, went to the outskirts of Donetsk, where they got bogged down in battles for small towns. The Donetsk airport was unblocked - the attack was so strong that the militia lost all of the north-west roadblocks and the junta’s attack slammed the DPR infantry into the city, the enemy’s immediate breakthrough into the city was prevented by launching the last reserve, a mechanized group of several tanks and Gradov ", while there was a serious risk that with increasing pressure, the defense could not withstand and collapse. However, that crisis the militia was able to survive. Donetsk itself from the middle of July began to undergo systematic artillery shelling, which continues today.
The junta's offensive began in the direction of Debaltseve, the Lisichanskiy bulge was threatened, the Bezler group was forced to put down Dzerzhinsk and retreat directly to Gorlovka. In the battles of mid-July, Deputy Strelkov was wounded with the call sign “Prapor”.
While the junta was tied up by fighting on the outskirts of Donetsk for Karlovka, Peski, Avdeevka and other localities, Strelkov uses this opportunity to withdraw some of the forces from near Donetsk and is trying to fight for the initiative with smaller forces, using the favorable situation that Saur Mogila has created in order to cut a narrow corridor that stretched from Amvrosievka through Marinovka to Dmitrovka and Dyakovo, moving further north to Izvarino, towards which the Southern Group was eager.
Fighting under Kozhevny and Marinovka takes place, with the aim of cutting off the entire Southern Grouping. Only the complete adventurism of the Southern Group's command, advancing along the border with the open flank, provided the militia with such a favorable opportunity that helped change the course of the war.
July 17 situation exacerbates the fall of the Malaysian "Boeing". This story apparently was aimed at discrediting Russia and forcing it to stop military support for Novorossia. Boeing was shot down by a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft with a P-60 rocket. Then followed an extremely clumsy attempt to blame the militias, and then Russia. Due to the low competence of the performers, this was not possible; moreover, further exaggeration of this topic increasingly exposed the junta as the sole responsible party. Therefore, the story of "Boeing" began to "put out" in both the Ukrainian and foreign media. In general, it was not possible to repeat the situation ala "South Korean Boeing 1983 of the Year". However, even the failed provocation ultimately did not prevent declaring Russia as something of a mixture of the Ebola virus and ISIS.
The onset of the junta near Lugansk and on Izvarino due to lack of strength, quickly slowed down. Before the storming of Lugansk, it never came, the attack on Izvarino was drowned.
A tank attack on Lugansk airport via Aleksandrovka allowed a strong armored group to be driven into the airport, but during further battles the junta was forced to leave the pierced corridor and the airport was again in the boiler. The front north of Luhansk began to acquire all the signs of positionality. However, coupled with the failure near Lugansk, the junta, bypassing Donetsk from the west, was able to reach Lutugino and intercept the key road (before that, it had already been cut into Debaltseve). As a result, the supply of Donetsk hangs on a narrow thread Izvarino-Krasnodon-Torez-Donetsk.
On July 22, we received information from the border that due to the difficult situation at the front, an open entry of Russian troops was being prepared, the grouping of Russian troops near the borders with Ukraine after withdrawal in late spring and early summer, rose again to April sizes. This was due to the fact that by developing offensives from under Slavyansk, the junta tried to cut off the Lysychanskiy ledge, while the forces released after an unsuccessful attempt to attack Luhansk were attracted to attack. The junta led an offensive against Rubezhnoye, Lysychansk and Severodonetsk with overwhelming superiority in men and technology. Strelkov gives the order to the Brain to leave a bulge (by that time the Brain had already worked with Strelkov because of the conflict with Bolotov and general anarchy among military structures) to avoid the threat of encirclement - despite the dissatisfaction with this decision, the order is being carried out - the militia retreats, leaving Lisichansk, Popasnoe , Severodonetsk and Rubizhne. Also, on July 22, an unsuccessful attack on Kozhevnya took place - the militia seized Marinovka, but under the Kozhevnaya, they ran into Polish mercenaries and lost the 2 tank and quite a lot of infantry rolled back, the wounded commander Zaharchenko.
According to our information, the input was planned for 3 days as a reaction to the deteriorating situation. A text was written and prepared that our center supports the deployment of a peacekeeping contingent in order to stop the killing of the civilian population in the Donbas, while negotiations began to purchase thousands of tons of fuel for upcoming events through our center. However, no open entry decision was made and readiness No. 1 was canceled. At the same time, the fly-wheel of the “Voentorg” was growing during July and soon the junta felt its work in full. The forces of the junta, which appeared in the boiler after the battles under Marinovka, "suddenly" began to suffer huge losses from the massive MLRS and artillery batteries, they appeared understandably not only from disarmed military units (there were no trophies of this class in such quantities at that time). The loudest signal was heard at Zelenopole when Gradami destroyed the field camp of one of the brigades stuck in the South Cauldron. Those pictures, which looked very unusual for that time (dozens of burned cars, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, dozens of corpses), soon became a terrible commonplace.
The first "workers of the Voentorg" or as they are also called "vacationers" (recently their presence was openly acknowledged by the head of the military intelligence of the DPR, General Petrovsky) in the depths of the territory of Novorossia appeared already in July, and not in August, as is commonly believed. In June, “vacationers” could be met at “zero” or near the border. The “null” itself became a convenient springboard for delivering unexpected attacks on the junta's troops, who could not find an antidote to such tactics and eventually began to think about the idea that the border had to be surrendered so as not to be subjected to systematic artillery strikes and MLRS all sides. In this regard, the line of Russia ultimately boiled down to the rejection of open confrontation with the United States (repeated rejection of open input of troops and negotiations with the Ukrainian oligarchy on the one hand and at the same time forceful support for the uprising in the Donbas, which was provided in July by the Voentorg). The American "voentorg" during this period worked to put it mildly weakly, the intensification of work in August suggests that the good times of July will not be repeated. In general, both "voentorg" in their own way solved their tasks of representation in the warring territories of American and Russian foreign policy.
Since all the supply channels were blocked at Marinovka and a position on Saur-Tomb, the Southern Group, unable to break through to Izvarino, began to suffer painfully from a shortage of fuel and ammunition. The boiler had 3 full-fledged brigades - 24-I OMBR, 72-I OMBR and 79-I amphibious, divisions of other brigades, plus parts of the gain. There are more than 6 000 people and more 200 armored vehicles. Part of the fire suffered most from the 72 th OMBR. Demoralization increased in the units, the cases of surrender and flight to the territory of Russia became more frequent. At the suggestion of Russia, which took part in these negotiations (at the level of the border service generals), the junta set forth simple conditions — take the equipment to the militia and cross the border of the Russian Federation, giving the soldiers the right to choose whether to serve Ukraine or remain in Russia. In the end, having more significant forces than those that surrounded them, the junta's troops stopped and defended themselves, which gradually became focal. Against the backdrop of devastating criticism of the incompetent command of their own troops, the junta hoped that the surrounded units would at least be able to perform the function of controlling the border. It was another catastrophic mistake. The boiler began to disintegrate, Izvara and Dkovsky boilers were formed.
Operation of the junta began to rapidly lose its shape and the junta moved to a series of convulsive attacks where there was still strength for that. The very same strategic plan with the establishment of full control over the border suffered a complete collapse. The offensive of the main forces who took Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, also did not bring decisive results. Under Donetsk, the junta was drawn into grueling battles in suburban settlements, the offensive in the Popasna area eventually choked on the streets of Pervomaisk, which was withdrawn to Stakhanov and Alchevsk by the Brain group formed a dense defense, which the junta could not break through. In general, it can be stated that the general goals of the onset of July that started on 1 were achieved within a month. The reasons for this are the competent command of Strelkov who saved the army, the desperate resistance of the best militia units, and naturally the work of the voentorg in all its senses.
During this time, the army of New Russia has grown significantly in size, has acquired the technique (mostly trophy), and even learned to restrain quite serious attacks of the junta. The overall balance of forces began to decline gradually in favor of the militia. Guerrilla battalions and troops, gradually learned to be an army. In the midst of a difficult war, I had to learn right in the battles.
An attempt to reverse the situation was at the beginning of August, when the junta abandoned its ambitious goals and attempted to use the remaining combat-ready forces to resolve the issue of cutting off the DPR from the LPR and intercepting communications between Lugansk and Russia. All this led to a series of fierce and bloody battles in which it was finally decided whether to be or not to be Novorossiya. "

There was such an interesting story - during the battles near Slavyansk, “Prapor” realized a long-time reconstruction dream, rose from the trench, pulled out Stechkin and called “For the Motherland! For Stalin” and led the people to the attack. It’s not the coast itself (which is why it was often wounded). By personal example, the fighters were not afraid of enemy fire, including Givi, and then they quickly matured and became one of the most famous tactical commanders of Novorossia.
Most of the Ukrainian paratroopers from the 25 airborne brigade who went over to the side of Novorossia in Slavyansk (and the BMD that passed 6 along with the famous Nona) are still alive and fighting in the combat units of the Novorossia army. The work of the Voentorg in June did not receive a proper assessment, which subsequently played a fatal role for the junta.
The offensive that began was successfully developed for the junta - having overwhelming superiority in armored vehicles, artillery, infantry and aviation over the militia, the junta, instead of direct frontal attacks on key points, began to flow around them, striking in those areas where the militia, due to lack of forces, could not create the proper density of troops. For example - against the existing Slavyansk besides captured in the spring of 6 BMD (including the famous "Nona"), 3 tanks, 5 infantry fighting vehicles and 3 armored personnel carriers, as well as 3 artillery pieces, the enemy concentrated more than 100 tanks and about 300 other armored units, more than 80 artillery systems, including Tornadoes and Hurricanes, which began to be widely used at the front in July .
In the battles of 2-4 in July, Slavyansk, where the most efficient forces of Novorossia were located, was in the operational bag. In the end, a complex of objective factors made the fall of Slavyansk a matter of time. Both in Kiev, and in Donetsk, and in Moscow there were forces that were waiting for the projected final of the “Slavic epic” - the heroic death of Strelkov and his units in the Slavic cauldron, after which it would be possible to finish off Novorossia without any problems. In Donetsk, no one was preparing for defense, moreover, negotiations were held on the surrender of the city (among the participants are the mayor of Donetsk, Lukianchenko, the police chief Pozhidaev, the minister of the DPR headquarters, Khodakovsky), which were attended by some of the DPR leaders and authorities since then (after all, the DPR existed around 3 months at the beginning of July) obeying the fascist junta. In the south, the southern grouping of troops begins to move toward the border, and a strike is also being made on Izvarino from the north of the Luhansk region. The goal is simple - to surround Slavyansk and destroy the Strelkov detachment and at the same time in converging directions build giant "cannes" for the whole of Novorossia, cutting it off from Russia and thereby block supply channels. In general, by the evening of July 4, after just 4 days after the start of the junta, Novorossia found itself on the edge of the disaster.
This is followed by the famous Strelkov maneuver, which leaves Slavyansk and Kramatorsk and goes to Donetsk. Along the way, left Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka, Semenovka. Having no Soledar captured in the rear and the forces of the junta in Artyomovsk, Strelkov had no opportunity to create an intermediate position between Donetsk and Slavyansk. Only after that, Donetsk begins to seriously prepare for defense, and considering the fact that it has not yet been taken (and then the various service personnel of the fifth column, like Kurginyan, screamed that Strelkov had passed Slavyansk, he would surrender Donetsk too), in fact, Strelkov saved then Donetsk and Donetsk People's Republic. Nevertheless, the situation continued to worsen, the junta's troops following the retreating Strelkov, went to the outskirts of Donetsk, where they got bogged down in battles for small towns. The Donetsk airport was unblocked - the attack was so strong that the militia lost all of the north-west roadblocks and the junta’s attack slammed the DPR infantry into the city, the enemy’s immediate breakthrough into the city was prevented by launching the last reserve, a mechanized group of several tanks and Gradov ", while there was a serious risk that with increasing pressure, the defense could not withstand and collapse. Boeing was shot down by a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft with a P-60 rocket. Then followed an extremely clumsy attempt to blame the militias, and then Russia. Due to the low competence of the performers, this was not possible; moreover, further exaggeration of this topic increasingly exposed the junta as the sole responsible party.
