Khushbakht Tursunov and Nikita Kiryanov are not born heroes

last flight

Migration from Central Asia is one of the most painful topics in modern Russia. Society is acutely worried about the latest outrages of those who have come in large numbers and the reluctance to accept norms of behavior. There are indeed many problems, especially with attracting new citizens to military service. There are even ideas to form ethnic battalions to be sent to the Northern Military District.

Behind all the hype, real soldiers and officers of the Russian Army, originally from neighboring countries, are disappearing from view. For unknown reasons, the general public is not told about the heroes who decided to forever associate themselves with Russia and the army. Often the truth is revealed under tragic circumstances.

The August hijacking of a Mi-8AMTSh helicopter by Captain Maxim Kuzminov became the first in the country stories an act of betrayal of a combat pilot, the victims of which were his comrades. Kuzminov actually killed two officers - flight mechanic Nikita Kiryanov and pilot-navigator Khushbakht Tursunov.

At the moment, it is difficult to reconstruct the full picture of what happened, but it is clear that the helicopter crew members tried to stop the traitor to the last. And when Kuzminov sat down on Ukrainian territory, the officers, not wanting to surrender to the enemy, died.

Weapons Tursunov and Kiryanov did not, and they could easily surrender to the nationalists. The entire helicopter crew is a tasty prey for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the end, Kuzminov would be kept for himself, and the flight mechanic and navigator could be exchanged for several captured militants.

But even unarmed officers showed such resistance to the enemy that they were eliminated. A forensic anatomical examination confirmed the shooting at point-blank range.

We cannot exclude the possibility that Kuzminov himself killed his colleagues - in numerous interviews in Ukraine, he was unable to clearly talk about what happened.

The helicopter’s flight was initially planned over the territory of the Kursk region without crossing the “ribbon”, so the crew did not have service weapons. But whether Kuzminov had a pistol is unknown. Deciding to betray and steal a car, he could bring weapons on board.

This was once an Army pilot aviation Russia. In the photo is the traitor Maxim Kuzminov.

Eyewitnesses claim that before entering the Kharkov region, Kuzminov’s helicopter circled over Shebekino for a long time. On the ground they decided that the crew was simply lost and was about to find the lost route.

The radio silence in the border areas did not allow contact with Kuzminov. Navigation systems also do not function due to ground-based electronic warfare systems, so pilots are forced to determine the route solely based on landmarks on the ground. This is exactly what the working version was - the crew simply went off course.

But in the end, Kuzminov’s car descended and moved at low level into Ukrainian territory.

Heroes are not born

The fate of Khushbakht Tursunov occupies a special place in the August tragedy. A story unfolded before our eyes when a native of Tajikistan turned out to be a real Russian officer, in contrast to a coward and traitor with the last name Kuzminov.

Not only his compatriots, but also Russians should look up to Khushbakht.

The future hero was born and raised in the north of Tajikistan, in the town of Kanibadam. From a simple family. Parents moved to Russia, where they worked for a long time in the public utilities sector of St. Petersburg. Khushbakht is a true self-made man.

He entered the Syzran Higher Military Aviation School as a foreign student - at that time he still had a Tajik passport. The same Kuzminov studied in the same school only in a different specialty and at a different time.

After graduating from college, Khushbakht returned home, but, unable to find work, he has been back in Russia since 2015. The certified navigator of the Army Aviation even had to work as a security guard for some time. He couldn’t live without helicopters in the sky; several years ago he accepted Russian citizenship and signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense.

When the special operation began, he persuaded his brother, a helicopter pilot of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, to go to the Northern Military District.

“You have so much experience flying a combat helicopter, why are you sitting here? I am at war, and you must go with me and carry out all combat missions side by side,”

– Khushbakht convinced. Now the brother of the deceased hero is fighting the Nazis in an Mi-35.

Khushbakht Tursunov. Allegedly, the body of the pilots was handed over by the enemy side with signs of torture. It is unknown whether the heroes were shot before or after the torture.

Over several years of working in the crew with Kuzminov, Khushbakht formed a certain opinion about the commander. The captain's cowardice became obvious with the beginning of the SVO.

Interestingly, the 35-year-old navigator was actually assigned to a 28-year-old inexperienced helicopter pilot. Gain intelligence and experience. It didn't work out very well.

With his comrades, Khushbakht, as best he could, softened the commander’s character traits, but his behavior betrayed the future traitor - he was wary of dangerous routes, and gave in in difficult situations. It is not clear how he even crossed the “ribbon” and went several tens of kilometers deep into Ukraine. He could have been shot down by both his own and others.

We must pay tribute to enemy intelligence - they know how to work with such human material as the traitor Kuzminov.

Khushbakht's mother died during the coronavirus pandemic. The father lost his health due to hard work, suffered a stroke, and his son moved him to Tajikistan. He still does not know about the fate of his son.

Unfortunately, not much is known about flight mechanic Nikita Kiryanov.

He was a real Russian man, calm, sympathetic and hardworking. The technical condition of the helicopter and its readiness to fly have always been excellent. Nikita died as a hero, without disgracing the honor of the Russian officer.

Two Russian officers were killed. One is Russian by birth, the second by conscience. They didn’t give up, didn’t quit at the first sound of gunfire, they fought like real men. They did their job honestly and correctly. It’s not their fault that they served shoulder to shoulder with a real brat with the last name Kuzminov.

And Khushbakht Tursunov became a real symbol and example for his compatriots who received Russian passports. There should be more such people in Russia, and fewer such tragedies.

The bodies of the deceased Khushbakht Tursunov and Nikita Kiryanov were transferred by Kiev to Russia during the exchange of bodies of military personnel killed in Ukraine from both sides.
The bodies of Tursunov and Kiryanov showed signs of torture. One of them has his nose cut off.

At Tsargrad, journalists have already said that both killed Russian pilots - Khushbakht Tursunov and Nikita Kiryanov, who preserved the civil honor and dignity of our country, loyalty to the oath and their great Motherland in the fight against the Ukrainian-Nazis and Euro-fascists of the Kyiv regime, in fairness must be nominated for the title of HERO OF RUSSIA!

Я I absolutely agree with this and I support the Tsargrad journalists about awarding the Russian pilots Khushbakht Tursunov and Nikita Kiryanov the title of Heroes of Russia!

Alas, colleague, their flight route ran over “old” albeit border territories, and in this case the crew operates without personal weapons. These are strange rules.

Dear ones, have we forgotten about anyone here?
Yes, the pilots were captured. We didn't give up, we didn't break...
How many of our infantrymen and paratroopers were captured? In battle, they destroyed the enemy, covered their own to the last bullet, wounded, shell-shocked. And also not broken.
We won’t offend these guys who have returned, and who are fighting in the field right now, with this decision?
        Reward everyone this way.

          Reward everyone this way.

There is no need to rush in such matters. Everything must be established reliably. People get captured in different ways. Including cowardice. And the killed pilots are most likely real officers.

Residents of Central Asia are brought up in harsh patriarchal traditions; they usually have not a penny to their name when moving to a big city. Young men in a new place under such conditions will always and everywhere be prone to crime. In the nineties, I observed a huge migration flow in the immediate Moscow region from all over the former USSR, without any Uzbeks, crime was on an unprecedented scale - there were 30 private houses on the street, three houses were robbed at night with the murder of everyone inside, without any dark gateways. It’s better not to tell what was going on in the gateways.
On the other hand, patriarchal traditions give people the concept of honor and conscience. Of course, it doesn’t always work like this, but the article contains a living example. But how are relatives ready to kill each other for housing, brothers and sisters, parents and children, when someone has a place to live, but someone has almost nowhere, and almost everything must be taken away from the latter - that’s what I’ve seen enough of there are a lot of people among their neighbors (and not only others).

Unfortunately, not much is known about flight mechanic Nikita Kiryanov.

Senior Lieutenant Kiryanov, 28 years old, from the suburbs of Barnaul, graduated from the Altai Initial Flight Training School in 2013. Graduated from the Air Force Academy in Voronezh. It makes no sense to describe what kind of guy he was; his actions, loyalty to the oath, death, speak about him without words.

But Zelensky, Budanov and other representatives of the military-political leadership of Ukraine are allowed to live, and the representatives of the Rada?
To avoid such officers in shorts, it was necessary from the very beginning of the Northern Military District not to spare a few missiles for the Rada meeting and the meeting at Zelensky’s headquarters.

We must completely destroy both enemies and traitors in equal measure, because of our liberal, tolerant attitude and all the troubles, we still will not understand that a real war is going on against us and we must act according to the laws of war, all this relaxation will not lead to good, we need consolidation and mobilization of our entire society, but many of us continue to live in the old way, by inertia, and ignore everything that is happening around, this is the main problem, the disunity of society and ignoring the problems of the country, this problem must be solved first of all.

In addition, if we take into account that the Dagger flies at 3.5 km/s, then in a minute it will cover 200 km; within a radius of 200-300 km from Kyiv there is somewhere for Dagger carriers to take off. Even if we assume that all Zelensky and his ilk are sitting in Kiev (which there is not much chance of) and NATO specialists control every take-off of the Dagger carriers, then in 1.5 - 2 minutes Zelya and his team will hardly have time to hide deeper. Apparently there is no such goal...

And what will change, will it be possible to bring the guys back to life?
We need to change the approach to the organization. Create psychological and psychiatric services that will cull those who are not ready to serve due to their moral and volitional qualities. It doesn’t matter whether it’s an officer or a contractor.
      Especially if they are mobilized.
If a person is not ready to be a hero, then in a difficult situation he will destroy many more lives of his colleagues than he will help in battle. His inaction is far worse than his original absence from the staff.

Unfortunately, there are not many such men as Khushbakht Tursunov among the visitors, mostly they are moving around in crowds, it’s good if they are just discussing something in their own languages, but usually something not entirely pleasant. Those who live by their own rules and norms, as I witnessed how such a group began to interfere with two students, had to intervene. The guys were very unhappy that their plans were being interfered with, but when they realized that the forces were at least equal, they immediately took off, showering everyone with curses and curses. Therefore, it’s even kind of a shame that the article contains a lot about one hero, and a couple of lines about another hero, well, nowadays it’s just politics like that.....

When the border of the Kharkov region is considered as the border with Poland, then such a case was inevitable. There were plenty of scoundrels at all times. I am sure that if such a case had happened to another unit, this helicopter would have been pulled out along with the crew. Such cases must be treated as an emergency, the entire district.

At first glance, it may seem that the text below is off-topic in relation to this report. But that's not true. Below is the text authored by V. Surkov.

Let's think about what they dream about "over there." And based on what ideology we are fighting in Ukraine. This is how the top are fighting for a “common global North”, for a united Rome, for a correct Europe, a “global triumvirate”. With such ideological underpinnings, what will we end up with?

"What can you discern ahead if you try to look beyond the mirages? What will happen if you remove false pieces from the chessboard? There will be a Great North - Russia, the USA and Europe, forming a common socio-cultural space. A triune northern geopolitical cluster. The premonition of the North has already become more active use of the term “global South". But there is no south without a north. A common future is predetermined by common roots. The three largest northern civilizations, Russian, European and American, draw inspiration in their political development from the image of the Pax Romana. The word of Elder Philotheus is still hidden guides Russia. Our victory will change both us and the so-called West. It will be a new step towards the integration of the Great North, where our country will act as a co-member of the global triumvirate." Vladislav Surkov

All this is a blatant propaganda lie.
I already said this in another thread, but I’ll repeat it. Although I flew a Mi-8 for a little while (my final year at college). Therefore, I will say this, the commander could not physically kill the crew, the cockpit will not allow this, or rather, it is not the most convenient place for this matter, and neither would the driver and the driver.
This is how the crew sits in the cockpit:

To shoot the same on-board technician, the commander needs at least two additional joints on his right hand.
It is also impossible to fly over secretly, since the co-pilot is in charge of navigation, so the crew will immediately see any deviation from the course.
Hence the whole version of recruitment is in doubt.
What's left? And what is most likely?
Yes, the fact that the command had such a “good” grasp of the situation that they sent a helicopter to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Where the helicopter was hijacked after landing and the crew was partially killed.
Alas, this is not Afghanistan, and you won’t be able to immediately understand where you are and where you are, there are Russian speakers on both sides.
And to force a person in captivity to say what is necessary, there is no problem now, even with drugs.
Now a campaign is being launched to cover up the general’s backsides, for which Ukraine’s version of a deliberate flight is simply salvation.

But it couldn’t be that the plane went to pick up someone from the enemy rear, and ended up in an ambush. Then both the version of recruitment and the version that Kuzminov did not shoot, but only brought the plane into place, will come together, and the rest of the crew did not suspect anything, and when everything became clear, it was too late.
These are all versions, one of them, but at least it explains the contradictions that you write about.

Nothing will add up here. At least two cars will be allocated for such an operation. And if according to Soviet standards, then also combat helicopters for cover.
But in any case, there will be a special group armed to the teeth on board. Flying behind the front line is not a walk, the crew will not be at ease, you can’t just take it.
So this version is out of the question.

Maybe he surrendered, maybe he was captured, there is no reliable information. Like everything around this story.
However, it is a fact that the commander could not hijack a helicopter with two more people in the cockpit.

far from a fact. He could easily steal it if, before takeoff, with the engines running, he shot his crew members. Then no one would stop the traitor from fulfilling his plans. This version is more plausible and answers many questions. With the noise of running engines and rotating blades, you will not hear the sounds of gunfire at the airfield. The commander's hands are free. This is the most convenient moment. And if he had not done this then, two healthy men would not have allowed him to freely hijack a helicopter.

Some kind of game... How can you sneak weapons on board?! Is it in the nightstand under the soap?! Combat sortie, no weapons - who gave such an order?! Or is the Kursk region not subject to shelling and attacks by the DRG? Then what is the point of such flights, in radio silence mode - what will the crew do when a DRG is detected - will it fly to the nearest telephone?! A traitor at the helm - don't you have a heavy adjustable wrench at hand?!
Of course, it’s not my damn business to talk from the sofa about the possible actions of the dead officers, but the questions asked themselves, and they most likely relate to the military leadership at all levels. There were defectors until the spring of 1945, and from our side, so is it really impossible to include this in the instructions, as well as provide the crew with weapons, just in case, which could turn out to be very smelly...

What's the problem with bringing weapons to the airfield in a helicopter regiment? Do you think pilots, like passengers, are checked with frames and metal detectors? If this is not done with civilian pilots, then even more so with the military. I served in Chernigovka, where this traitor’s helicopter regiment was based. Nobody saw any frames there at the checkpoint. There was a normal access regime. Despite the fact that everyone there knew each other and naturally no busting was practiced. I don't think anything has changed there since then. Maybe now “after the fire”, as is usually the case with us, they will begin to change something.

Something doesn't add up here. If the crew did not have weapons, then why were they killed? Two officers are a good addition to the exchange fund; moreover, during the shooting they damaged a valuable car and risked the life of a defector, for whom there are big plans in the information war. After all, they were expected, so it wasn’t nervous infantry there, but specialists; taking two unarmed people alive was not even a task for them, but a warm-up before the task. Apparently, there was still a weapon. Either those two knew/learned something about the details of the operation, after which they could not be released alive. Or it was really not the Ukrainians who killed them, but the defector himself. Although they write here that it was difficult for him to do this from his place, but difficult does not mean impossible.

They probably got lost after all. An inexperienced crew will most likely have problems with navigation. There may be a technical problem with the aircraft. We sat where we could. They were spotted and fired upon. Perhaps everyone received some kind of injury or injury. Then captivity. One became faint-hearted and began to say what he was told. If the commander is a coward, as he is described, then he probably would not have gone ahead with the hijacking.
