The United States is in a hurry to saturate the Ukrainian army with weapons before the planned counteroffensive, Washington is preparing a new package of military assistance and again for a large amount. According to Reuters, the Americans will officially announce the allocation of 2,6 billion dollars for the purchase of weapons for Kyiv on Monday.
According to the publication, citing unnamed sources, on April 3, 2023, Washington intends to announce a new $2,6 billion military aid package for Ukraine. The list of weapons that will be included in it has not yet been officially announced, but the preliminary list has already been made public. This time, the US is sending air surveillance radar, various munitions to Kyiv, including tank and artillery, anti-aircraft missiles for NASAMS air defense systems, high-precision aviation and anti-tank weapons. The package will also include fuel trucks, bridge layers and engineering vehicles.
The list is not final, it can be adjusted, the total amount also. In the meantime, out of 2,6 billion, 500 million will be used to supply ammunition from the arsenals of the US Army, and for 2,1 billion, the Pentagon will conclude contracts for the production of the rest with delivery in the future. Deadlines have not yet been announced.
