Today is 110 years of the Russian Air Force
Today Russia celebrates the Day of the Air Force, which for some time now has been part of the Russian Aerospace Forces. And today, many of the Russian military pilots celebrate this day on combat duty, performing the tasks set by the command during a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine. Among the pilots there are those who participate in combat missions for the first time.
The Air Force (VKS) of Russia is entrusted with a special task, the solution of which is proceeding systematically and efficiently. This task consists in the demilitarization of objects not only near the line of direct combat contact, but also in the deep rear of the enemy. Russian combat (including long-range and strategic) aviationusing modern high precision weapon, liquidate enemy military equipment storage sites, ammunition depots, areas of deployment of units and formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and national battalions, inflict defeat on enemy aircraft in air battles.
Since February 2022, Russian combat aircraft and helicopters have made tens of thousands of sorties, as a result of which enormous damage has been inflicted on the enemy. Army aviation on the fronts of the Northern Military District eliminates columns of armored vehicles, inflicts defeat on positions fortified by it, and helps ground units to carry out a successful offensive, supporting them with fire from the air.
Fighter aircraft destroyed over two hundred aircraft and helicopters of the air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including during direct air combat. Also, Ukrainian aviation equipment, as well as equipment supplied in the interests of the Kyiv regime by Western countries, was destroyed at airfields along with their infrastructure.
A few hours ago, the crews of the Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces launched airstrikes on military targets, having previously identified them with the help of objective control tools. Thus, the attack aircraft of the Vostok aviation group eliminated the camouflaged fortified field positions of the armed forces of Ukraine, as well as the armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian Air Force (VKS) continues to serve in other areas, including patrolling the air borders of Russia from the Baltic to Chukotka. The task of assisting the Syrian government in countering terrorism continues. During the Syrian operation, Russian military pilots defeated a terrorist conglomerate that was trying to take control of the entire Syrian Arab Republic with active support from the West. These plans were thwarted by Russian troops, including military pilots. Syria retained its state sovereignty.
On the Day of the Russian Air Force, our pilots are congratulated by representatives of other types and branches of the armed forces, including those military personnel who are directly involved in the NVO to liberate Donbass and Ukraine from the Nazi pro-Western regime:
