Readers of the Polish press called on Lukashenka to "remember that when the nuclear cloud spreads, winds in Belarus blow from the west."
Poland did not ignore the statement of the President of Belarus on the readiness to deploy a nuclear weapon... Let us remind you that Alexander Lukashenko announced the preservation of launch sites for intercontinental ballistic missiles. According to Lukashenko, the proliferation of American nuclear weapons in Europe (and there are rumors that the United States may deploy its aviation atomic bombs in Poland) cannot be left unanswered.
The Polish press notes that Lukashenko has expressed his readiness to deploy nuclear weapons on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. It is noted that this sounded against the background of Alexander Lukashenko's words about the readiness of the Belarusian army to fight on the side of Russia in the event of a conflict with Ukraine, the support of which is said in NATO.
Polish observers also emphasize that in an interview with Russian journalist Dmitry Kiselyov, Lukashenko actually recognized Crimea as Russian.
How did Polish readers react to these statements by the President of Belarus? Here are a few comments that were made to the publication in the Polish edition of WP. While some Poles believe that Lukashenka “needs to undergo a medical examination by psychiatrists,” others point out that he “has to defend himself against constant attacks from the US and NATO.”
