Let me introduce myself: Alexey (Aleks TV), I greet all my friends, fellow countrymen and brothers from the site.
By the will of fate, for some time I was forced to be absent from our Internet resource for quite good reasons. And when his hands were able to type again on the keyboard, he returned again.
It turns out that I have something to compare with. I have not been immersed in VO all these years and changes in the nature of my site are not blurred, but clearer in the form of "then" and became "now".
There is absolutely no desire to creak senile that earlier the neighbors were kinder and the snow is whiter. The site grew and stood firmly on the goose ... ahem ... legs. With new programs, an increased audience and other tasty buns.
But still, the comments scratched my heart a little. The nature of the comments themselves. After all, the whole feature of "Military Review" went precisely because of the comments. A good and solid article in the comments was polished to absolute perfection.
Hence the expression - comments are better than articles.
Voennoye Obozreniye gained popularity thanks to professional commentary. The reference to VO in the military environment has become synonymous with professionalism and fact of proof in disputes.
What now? Now there is what is, you are the judge. But, quite often in "purely military" and technical topics, this "spark" wakes up in the discussion and a lively and professional discussion of the topic begins. And you understand this only later, when reading carried away so much that ... I lost track of time, and the locomotive left and the coffee cooled down.
And at the end of the discussion, someone from the "non-core" of this topic will write: "Thanks for the very informative comments, wonderful polemics. It was very interesting to read, I learned a lot, I really enjoyed it."
So, after all, he began to creak like an old man that "the snow used to be whiter" ...
But this was a necessary introduction to another, to the main thing, which I want to write about - they were going to VO to COMMUNICATE. Do they communicate now on VO? Undoubtedly YES.
But the spirit is slightly changed ... Think of this phrase yourself, I don't want to write negative. Just think and think to yourself - what can I personally do to make this "negative" less? And you can change a lot. And together we make up the SPIRIT of the community, in which we ourselves communicate.
The title of the article says "Brotherhood of VO".
Yes. It is. It was, is and will be. Not a vowel, not official, not obligatory ... in short - a REAL BROTHERHOOD.
Let me tell you something that I had to face personally, and not someone, somewhere, told something. Okay? For what? In order to show that relationships are DIFFERENT, and not only those that are now on the site, maybe someone will be interested in this ...

In February 2015, one of the members of the forum felt really bad to live. Either the melancholy appeared, or the blues. Or maybe the fact that he lived in the southeast of Ukraine ... In general, he had to choose between the "Kingdom of Heaven" and .... chose the latter - to flee with his wife from their home. The only person whose nickname I will not name, so as not to embarrass him. Their names are Dima and Lena.
Where to run? Well, not to Kiev, it means - to Russia. And here refugees are welcomed only ... in general, closer to Kazan and further east. I wrote about this on VO. They answered him - come to the Urals, we will meet, we will help.
Do you think the guys were pressed hard if they drove them to a foreign country (passport), to a foreign city, to strangers? I do not wish anyone to make such decisions in such situations. They left at the Yekaterinburg station with three bags. That's all the stuff. February. In the Urals, WINTER.
They were met by Yura (Pensioner) and Ivan (Stroybat reserve). They were loaded into a car and taken to a satellite village near the city. Private house, furniture, stove, plot. Nearby there is a shop and transport to the city.

So I met Yura (Pensioner / Evil Partizan / Poluekt) - a person of unimaginable energy (nee - a teacher of a military school), he will spin and organize whoever you want. And for fishing, he'll probably even bend a camel.
They brought the essentials, who had what. I brought the telly - no, but what? Well, what about without "spectacles"?
On "Voennoye Obozreniye" (it was February 24, 2015) he wrote in several topics that help is required from those who live in the Urals. Look at the Forum, section Brotherhood of VO - Ural. You need outerwear, blankets, bedding.
What was my shock when they began to write not only from the Urals, but from all over Russia. And offer ... send money. I was not ready for this and had to figure out on the fly how to organize it and how to report. Well this is money ... The amount came not small. Unfortunately, the forum has been destroyed and I cannot list all the nicknames of the wonderful members of the forum.
I remember one comment:

There are many different stories like that.
For example, when the question arose that I needed to change the climate, otherwise ahem ... The doctors insisted, more precisely, the army horsemen (God grant them health). It was Dima and the guys who helped load things.
I moved to a new place of residence as if by "special transport". And the exhausted family - his wife and daughter, flew to the new city with comfort - in a business class plane! It was a gift from Sani (WUA 518). So ... I am still in shock.
This is called TRUE FRIENDSHIP.
This is what the real Brotherhood is called. Male. Army.
The whole point is that if you come to the "Voennoye Obozreniye", do not squabble, pluck anger, be clever…. TO COMMUNICATE, then you will surely find good and real friends here.
This spontaneously develops into contacts outside the VO Internet site.
- Communication on other resources with an audio-video contact,
- Correspondence by mail.
- Personal meetings.
Nobody organizes this or draws it with an official framework.
This happens by itself - if you came to VO to communicate.
You know, it's great to find good contact with people who are not related to you by kinship, your neighborhood, a career at work ... Who do not need anything from you.
Find people who understand you, who also served in the glorious Red Army, or were associated with it, or are simply not indifferent to the Army theme - i.e. find people like you - "Army Sick".
And finally, you realize that you are ... not the only one. There are a lot of such "seriously ill patients", and they also do not mind communicating very much.
There is no envy like neighbors, careerism like at work, whining like relatives ... Well, I summarize this, take it with humor, but the message, I hope, is clear - to find a circle of people who have the same interests and hobbies. The same hobby. The same look and thoughts.
Plus the initial glory of the VO as a professional military resource.
That is why we come to VO. We come ourselves. Nobody pulls us by the ears, paws, tail.
Yes. we are all different, but we are somewhat similar, since we are here))).
Imagine if this communication will grow into something more?
I remember our "tank-mazut ”gatherings in cafes, there were Sergey (svp67), Zhenya (Armata / Mechanic) and Ivan (Stroybat reserve), plus people from outside also came, we then discussed“ Armata ”. There was a lot to talk about. It's like a club of interests, when it was much more interesting to communicate in words in personal contact than to beat Klava in deaf, faceless correspondence on the site. It was very interesting. Plus, those who wanted to order tea in glasses. Communication became warmer and more sincere ...)))

You can always whistle and find a company for double pleasure. You can fish and at the same time discuss the tactics of using BMPT. Such as.
If there is no opportunity to meet, but there is a desire to communicate, then different cities and even countries are not an obstacle.
Let me give you one interesting example on the hackneyed theme “Jew-Israel-ah-ah-ah”, in which all the templates have already been arranged.
Once, with my whole family, I burst into a visit to Sana's (AVP 518) home. He had been calling for a long time, and a present for his father had to be brought - a real Soviet tank overalls (with a yellow diamond). The girls there go about their business, and we are in the kitchen ... pea soup with smoked meat. Well, tea in glasses - where without it.
Sanya, by the way, is a unique person. He is certainly not Mother Teresa, but Father Teresa is for sure. He is connected with reports from Kubinka and Zadorozhny and helped to organize them. And by the way ... I also did secret assistance to VO, about which no one knows, not even VO itself. (In fact, they know. The Vadim Zadorozhny Museum and the Spasskaya Tower festival - this was really a huge help from Alexander - a note from the task force of the weapons department of the VO editorial office)

All three of us: the T-72B tanker, the MiG-31 commander and the Mi-24 mechanic, have one hobby - we love to cook. Yeah. When you get fifty dollars, you stop being ashamed of your complexes. And Igor then badly injured his leg. Well, where else can a Soviet Jew born in Ukraine injure his leg? Of course, fishing in the Jordan!

He rode in a wheelchair through the corridors, simultaneously showing everything on video online. Of course, I was not quite sober, absolutely accurate, but something clicked in my head from what I saw:

- Yes, a lot of people in uniform and that's all ... with weapons... Almost everyone has Galila.
- It's just relatives and friends visiting the sick. Many serve in the army, but you cannot part with military weapons. Nowhere is it allowed.
I got a little sober ...
Can you imagine that you went on leave with a "Kalash"? To the cinema, to shop for bread, to visit a friend in a hospital, to a kindergarten to a nurse-teacher, a brother to school? And all with "Kalash"?
And there it is NORM.
I know what it is like when you live in a war. Not when she is “out there” or comes to visit “sometimes”, but when she is always around you. You live in a war.
Over time, with such a constant life, it is very difficult not to get angry.
It is very difficult to remain a normal person.
It is very difficult when all your people live in SUCH life.
Somehow they waited for him on Skype for another "glass of tea" on Friday-Saturday. Don't think that we drink often. We can get together 4 times a year to take a sip of an intoxicating drink and have a heart-to-heart chat, or we can get together once every 3 years ...
Differently.
And now he is late ... the vodka has already begun to warm up. All panting comes up.

When you closely communicate with ordinary people who are very close to you in spirit, then completely insignificant trifles in the form of politics, borders and the fact that your countries are, in fact, different, go to the second, and even far away plan.
I was at war. And it is not known how the other people would behave in such conditions.
Do these examples change the "Jewish pattern" a little?
And this is just a personal communication between three warriors, who do not bother that they are in different cities and countries.
And I will boldly say that they are my brothers - one from Moscow, the other from Israel.

And if you plunge into another plane of the history of the relationship between the readers of the "Military Review"? Generally in a different arc? Remember when the fire started in the Southeast and how we reacted? Someone went there. Someone stayed there. For example Den11 ...
Someone suggested collecting equipment, then suggested collecting money. And the dashing troika rushed.

In fact, we were a fairly serious force back then, we raised five and a half million rubles alone. Think about this figure. And how many "equipment" was there !!! From ..., ahem ... let's not say some names, to everything, anything. I remembered that Sergei (Sergei32) had his own confectionery business at that time, and he sent boxes of marshmallows for the orphanage to the SE. Then all this was transported by "Two Novels". Skomorokhov and Krivov.
Were they at risk? Loss of freedom, health, life?

How did you help to raise funds for the popular film “28 Panfilov's men”? It was after the response to VO that the box office was quite noticeably replenished by the creators. Not a bad movie, by the way. Especially if you compare it with the rest of the "masterpieces" of cinema on a military theme.
But now there are much more VO readers than in 2014. A lot more. And a large community that acts in concert is far from being a joke. Don't you want to feel like a real power?
What, for example?
Well ... we certainly will not master the aircraft carrier ... (this is me in spite of the current battles), but we can do something.
For example, help restore a tank that the search engines had difficulty pulling out of the swamp.
Or some other good, solid deed on a military or military-historical theme.
Believe me, the inner awareness of involvement in something significant is much more valuable than 100-500 rubles in your pocket.
Something good and correct appears on our Planet, your own self-esteem rises, new friends appear.

There are many examples of the Brotherhood of the Military Review. And nobody organizes it. It is spontaneous. Once I had a chance to participate in some adventures. Not far from Voronezh there is a small town Ostrogozhsk. And the local semi-sports-paramilitary boys' club came to the attention of "Two Romanov". These are those who are Skomorokhov and Krivov. The guys were taken under the "wing". With them, field trips were conducted with the study of the tactical elements of combined arms combat, classes in topography and orientation. At that time, I was not quite Copenhagen yet after another round of struggle for the Statutory Relationship Between Soul and Body (moping, in short), so I only taught them military topography.
By the way, the guys from the club were dressed in equipment, given weapons, walkie-talkies. We worked with them and conducted various activities. They were fed in an organized manner right in the field. Nobody took a single kopeck from them.
All those who conducted the classes did not receive a single kopeck either, thus reducing the burden of expenses for the entire organization of conducting the classes. Feasible expenses were borne by the VO management itself.
And nowhere was it covered or advertised.
It was just an ordinary, personal, as much as possible, military-patriotic work with teenagers. Just from the heart and not for show. Result? And the result is this: the "Peresvet" club became a supplier of personnel for the "Vityaz" squadron.
And some guys went to military schools. Good result. In my opinion - worthy.
These are just examples of what we can, really can (!!!) do, and not complain about "polymers" in the comments.

From the same Roman Skomorokhov I know that last year he took part in some search operations and in the process of searching they found more than a dozen abandoned mass graves of Soviet soldiers on the territory of the same Ostrogozhsky and Kamensky districts of the Voronezh region. In abandoned villages and farms. And now this year they are planning to repair them according to their strength and capabilities. These are our soldiers, after all ...

We are really strong and we can do a lot. If we really want it.
I'm not going to be blown away and become a boring gray mouse in retirement, complaining about the fact that "now everything is bad."
So that the right side of the body began to work again, I picked up ... first a sledgehammer, then a hammer drill and a grinder. I am a Tankman and I use my own method of treatment. It's more fun than going to "rehab" medical centers. No, you can go there too, because there are nurses and beautiful doctors. Yeah.
Memory
The third block, which I wanted to talk about.
Ten years already IN. Eleven, to be exact. Not everyone is with us now, some are no longer there. Sergeant of the Soviet Army Sadigov Azir (Apollo) is not with us.
He was one of the best VO moderators. He somehow managed to reconcile opponents ready to fight so that ... everyone became friends. He could be independent in the dispute between an Azerbaijani and an Armenian, although it was difficult for him.
He had exactly the authority that they themselves earn by their actions. He made many moderators at VO. Thanks to him, this microclimate of friendliness appeared between commentators and the habit of greeting and greeting each other when communicating.
I’m an Old Soldier, I don’t use foul language - I use foul language, without this there is no way in the Army. I don't know how the Fleet is and Aviation, but in the Ground Forces there is no way without it. Zero execution of commands and Orders by subordinates. This is a particularly secret language of Russian military communication. Swearing is pranking, inserting obscene words into speech, throw out this rubbish, and the speech will be quite meaningful and understandable.
And colloquial Army swearing is a special language, throw out the main words from the sentences, and ... it will be incomprehensible. It all consists of these words, short, intelligible, understandable, succinct and incredibly effective.
Well, I sinned a little with this on VO. And Apollo somehow managed to talk to me in a personal message that somehow it became uncomfortable for me ... Me! To the military! Inconvenient for the Army mate! To your division ... I still don't understand how he did it ..
And we began to communicate. Man was of extraordinary magnetism. I am very sorry that we were not close for long. Once there was a crowd on Skype with a video, Sanya (Romanov) kept mumbling that we were monsters, and he was from the Far East and wanted to sleep ... And I had to disconnect, the family was looking for a new house, they just shied away not far from the M4 highway, when it was not boring at all in the SE. In general, there was no time for communication, I was worried about the family. I apologized to the guys and passed out.
I have not seen more Apollo ...
I would like to leave some memory of him. He has a son. And so, for example, imagine knocking on his house, he opens the door, and there is a package. Opens, unfolds, and there is a portrait of his father and the logo of "Military Review" aside.
Do you like such a Memory? Yes, for me. I think Apollo would have liked it too.

We all came here for a reason, we have very rare "cockroaches" in our heads for normal people. We are military. Army-related. Lovers of the Army. Expand your social circle, do not be afraid of personal meetings. You will find very good friends in your cities, I guarantee that. I checked it on myself, as it were.
And not only in the cities where you live.
For example, you drive a car in the summer to the South-Sea, and you drive from Siberia-Ural-North. We stopped somewhere near Volgograd-Lipetsk-Saratov with a familiar interlocutor from the Military Review. You took a shower with your family and ate some homemade soup, and the owner, who sheltered your family for an hour or two, became the proud owner of cold smoked homemade muksun.
And everyone is happy, happy. And they found a friend. Why not?
There is a global network of mutual support, all its members arriving in an unfamiliar city can come to a member of the community and get shelter and comfort without any money. These are not fairy tales. Why can't we do something similar?
I just can't meet Sanya (Sparrow). As I go to the South, he always builds his gazebos. Would you like to meet a cheerful person who studied at two tank schools and ... managed to serve in the Marine Corps? I really want to, especially since he is the same as me - twice shell-shocked.
If in the Krasnodar Territory you see an angry man with a tank ranger in his hands on the highway, it means that Sparrow is having fun, be sure to get out of the car and approach him:

But what about doing some kind of project related to military history or patriotic education? Why not?
In short, dear, it's good to whine. We are not old yet, and we can do a lot, and there are many of us. And our young people are normal and correct - so let's work with them, and not just scribble pitiful comments to each other.
What do I suggest?
Get together in cities and get to know each other. Communicate. Meet. Make friends. Suggest.
May holidays are just ahead.
I am now in Voronezh while I'm a donkey, I'm patching up a little. I am polishing the normal interaction between the parts of my body and my God-given Soul. I revive in one word.
