The idea of closing McDonald's in Russia

Against the background of growing volumes of world trade, today's sanctions against Russia look more than strange. The American authorities exert unprecedented pressure on their partners from other countries of the world to also impose political and economic sanctions on Russia. Many representatives of world politics are readily in the wake of the United States, but there are also many who see no prospects in connection with the introduction of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Representatives of the European political and economic elite express considerable concern about the pressure on Russia. German experts are confident that if the pressure on Russia grows, then Moscow may include retaliatory actions that will affect numerous European enterprises. Today, the European economy is already suffering from the restrictions that EU countries are trying to impose on Russia. Some enterprises are forced not to voluntarily limit cooperation with Russian business, which leads to an increase in the number of layoffs from European industrial enterprises.
Russia has repeatedly stated that any sanctions are two-edged, and the pressure of world politics is clearly not resolved. After American politicians declared that it was necessary to strengthen economic sanctions against Russia, LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky proposed closing the McDonald's fast food restaurants in all cities of Russia without exception. The MP is motivated by the fact that the American fast-food chain clearly does not add to the health of Russian citizens. The Zhirinovsky initiative was supported by a number of other deputies of the State Duma. If the American fast food system in Russia closes, then, according to the deputies, it will replace it with Russian cafes offering delicious and healthy food to its customers.
Today in Russia there are more than 400 McDonald's restaurants, which bring billions in profits to their owners. If the deputies really decide to close this chain of restaurants, the economic blow to the food empire of Skinner and Thompson will be a big deal.

McDonald's is a franchise, for opening 1 cafe the fee is 500000! dollars. The owners are not poor people. We have two Ms., very popular especially among teenagers. The food is terrible and expensive, I saw how a visitor was replaced with a steak that was not cooked at all. But in Berlin, in the Alexanderplatz area, there were almost no customers at McDonald's; it was rather dirty and smelled bad. It seems that in Germany they are already full of this miracle and prefer normal food.

The father bought the boy (6 years old) 0,33 cola every evening when he walked out of the garage with his son; by the age of 7, the boy’s teeth began to fall out.
I have psoriasis and if I don’t follow a diet, my body reacts sharply, alcohol is contraindicated. So the same can of cola gives me more health problems than 200 grams of vodka.
    Quote: Greenwood
What should they say? Everything should be in moderation. Just because you occasionally eat a hamburger or drink a cola will do nothing for your health. As for the vodka shown in the picture, I don’t drink alcohol and certainly don’t see any reason to offer it to me instead of cola.

Well, at 6 years old drinking Coke every day is a lot of course. Nothing to say. In this volume it is harmless to the health of an adult, but not a small child. You would also offer to give the boy beer.

Your right not to drink Coke, no one forces you. But drinking vodka, like other alcohol, is bullshit, you don’t respect yourself.

Any cola contains phosphoric acid, other acids are also harmful to the child. The healthiest peach juice. Juices should be consumed only with pulp, and in no case clarified. When choosing mineral water, keep in mind that the owners of some brands are American citizens.
      Give preference to local varieties.

In Russia, the closure of McDonald's is considered a positive development, including due to the fact that they do not consider the food healthy. Ask Europeans in the EU, they also have a different food culture. Nevertheless, I am against Zhirinovsky’s statement about closing McDonald’s for political reasons. Pepsi and McDonald's are associated with the USA since these companies were among the first to enter the post-Soviet space and conquer their fast food consumers. The departure of McDonald's is perceived as a symbol (loss) of US policy. Culture and nutrition were supported by the previous US administration, but Mr. Obama thinks differently, for which many thanks to him. For his sanctions, it’s time for him in Russia to be given a bonus and a salary.

We need to promote a healthy lifestyle more in programs and in films... and ban harmful advertising about all American dreams... with McDonald's and Marlboro cowboys...
In the meantime, boycott the harmful products of “enemies” - cola, various types of hamburgers, cigarettes, Parashenko’s sweets, Baltic sprats.. (so as not to support “enemies” financially)
And completely harmful products such as energy drinks should simply be banned.
When buying products in supermarkets, I carefully read not only the ingredients but also the manufacturer.. If there is a boycott of some goods, they will stop carrying them.. I won’t even have to ban them.
Fortunately, we don’t have McDonald’s yet, and normal cafes and canteens are opening, and there are no problems with toilets.

And the point is not that the business itself is quite profitable and initially the parent company itself calculates the risks before opening one of its branches in any place anywhere in the world!
The fact is that any sanctions entail retaliatory measures!
And I believe that the chain of these restaurants needs to be closed so that Russians stop engaging in “quick fucks” of unhealthy food!

        1. The factories are in Russia, but ALL the surplus value, and it is very high in fast food, in ii.
        2. All main components (concentrates, leavening agents, stabilizers, etc. CHEMISTRY) are brought from India.
        3. McDonald’s is not just a catering outlet, it’s an image, it’s an ideology (look at the organization and management, and it’s very “unhelpful” for children).
        4. How much of American management is paid in and from Russia?
        5. It is IMPOSSIBLE for an independent and strong STATE to allow such a blatant insult from a foreign commercial organization on ITS territory!

I read your comments and laughed heartily. Close McDonald's? People without work.
It may be more rational to create unobtrusive competition - open dumpling shops nearby with the cuisine of the peoples of the USSR: chebureks, shish kebab, or think through a strategy for Russian fast food. This is a topic for several dissertations. The advantage of McDonald's is the standardization of dishes, no one will put anything in their pocket there + organization of labor. Go to any diner: the thinnest piece of stale cooked meat will be served as “rare steak”, you can add examples.
For various reasons I had to go to McDonald's for a snack - the aftertaste was terrible.
All nations have many similar dishes. Pizza - in Izhevsk we will treat you to a baked one. All nations have fish dishes. Only the French eat frogs.
In general, I advise everyone to try to buy a book on Tatar cooking or download recipes on the Internet - any Russian will like it. Tasty!

McDonald's that stinks like garbage has no place on our land! In order not to offend anyone by deprivation of work, the Duma should, in one document, immediately after announcing the closure of the so-called McDonald's restaurants, declare their territory available only for the distribution and sale of healthy food produced in Russia and according to Russian recipes. For some reason it seems to me that Russian restaurateurs will only be happy about this. It is painful to watch how people ruin their health by eating dubious “dishes” with barbaric names. The first McDonald's on Russian soil was opened at the Lira cafe in Moscow. It was an excellent cafe, and the food there was delicious, in contrast to the suffocating premises of the McDonald's that replaced it.

So many comments....Everyone is just victims of fast food. Let's close all Western factories on the territory of the Russian Federation, and let the workers sweep the streets instead of guest workers, in one fell swoop - beating everyone, the idea! At the same time, most of those commenting probably drive foreign cars and shit in imported cars plumbers. But what kind of patriots, however. If you don’t like it, don’t eat, don’t drink, don’t give it to your children, what’s the problem? I personally like McDuck more than shawarma, and disposable tableware is more hygienic than reusable tableware, which is not clear who washes it and how. And the toilets in McDuck are free and more or less clean, this is relevant for St. Petersburg.

A very smart author of the article, and most importantly, he was concerned about the history of McDonald's in Russia.
    1. McDonald's in Russia was opened by Canadians.
    2. They would rather close down Zhirinovsky than take away the business from the Chechens, fortunately there is one director of McDonald's in Russia, Mr. Khasbulatov, who now works as the director of McDonald's throughout Eastern Europe, and the other part belongs to the Moscow mayor's office, especially the one called Luzhkovskaya.
    3. 85% of the raw materials used in McDonald's are Russian-made; this company operates huge livestock complexes, agricultural farms, food processing plants, factories for the production of packaging, milk and dairy products, the list goes on. Will you replace these jobs for people in rural areas and in the outback? Hmm? And what about McDonald's workers, of whom there are about 40 thousand? salary of 40 thousand rub. If you work full time, that's a good income, what do you think, author?
    4. about “huge profits”. If the author of the article understood at least a little about the restaurant business, he would know that this is not a business of “huge profits”; 2% annual growth is the maximum that the well-oiled mechanism of the McDonald’s company is capable of. The author of the article at least estimated how much capital investment it would cost to open 1 McDonald’s? and that the normal payback for a couple of million dollars in the food business is 7-10 years? Both the author and Zhirik - minus. Blockheads.

      2. And what's the difference?
      3. Even if so (I have other information - meat, packaging and GMO potatoes are brought from abroad), then this entire industry is aimed at the uncle’s pocket and the health of fellow citizens. They will find something to do - other catering establishments will open.
      4. WHAT does this crap have to do with the restaurant business? There is no need to attach a naked eatery to a restaurant.
And make me laugh - who in Russia invests in a payback period of 7-10 years? Killed... Lies and nonsense... laughing
For Russia, projects with a payback period of more than 2 years in this area do not work due to the risks... Not a single bank will give money or at crazy interest rates, a “special offer”...

        1. the difference in the formulation of the article question - poppy in Russia is a Russian closed joint-stock company, and taxes are paid in Russia, by the way.
        2. The difference is that no matter how much laymen like you speak out on the forums, the poppy will not be closed in Russia, but the zhirik will work off.
        3. no one!!! forces you to eat there from morning to evening and, like any more or less literate person, you must understand that nutrition must be balanced and take into account your daily calorie needs. And, if you sit on your butt all day long, eat in poppy seeds, and then at home you pile up some borscht, cutlets and potatoes with salad, and then sit on the sofa, is McDonald’s to blame?
4.oo, I see you are a very knowledgeable restaurateur, you apparently have success stories of catering companies that paid for themselves in 2 years? Especially in Russia? Don’t make me laugh, dear, just to put in your 5 cents. Regarding the nonsense eatery, let it be known to you, good sir, that McDonald's in Russia is the best McDonald's in the world, in terms of products and quality of service, and many restaurants that close 2 weeks after opening should learn how to organize work from this company , which, despite any Zhirinov problems, not to mention systemic problems, continues to work. Regarding GMOs, you probably also don’t know that the import of GMO crops intended for human nutrition is prohibited in Russia, and a company like McDognalds, which is already pressed by all sorts of fats, has absolutely no point in making a fool of itself with such garbage.

          1. Oh, we are starting to frantically look for “plus-legs”. They say “shit” to you, Mr. Five-Columnist, and you argue..."(c). The franchise costs three kopecks, the fucking coacola also goes to the Russian treasury... right? Let's legalize the sale of drugs - oh how we will replenish the treasury - vector of nonsense, smart guy You also have protection for smoking in your plan...
          2. Well, for now, rejoice, you’re working off your uncle’s money well... But, it’s worth giving a vector - for fat people to file million-dollar lawsuits for impaired metabolism (have you heard about the US tobacco trials? But it’s hard to dig up evidence) and shut the hell up. The main thing for the courts to say from above is - face!
          3. You persist - watch your lips - it has been proven that there is a metabolic disorder. A combination of flavoring additives + addictive coca is used - prohibited techniques. Unhealthy food. However, to whom am I confessing - you’re at work.
          4. You, my friend, will be surprised (although no - you are deliberately lying) - the import of GMO seeds is currently prohibited. But the products are not! The only requirement is the indication on the label.
And if the Russian poppy joint is the cleanest of the poppy joints, then it still remains a crap eatery. laughing
Summary: lies, nonsense and provocation. Who are we working for, partner?

hahaha, in your opinion, is having your own opinion different from the majority fulfilling someone else’s order? Don’t judge people by yourself)) they made me laugh, oh my God, he’ll poke at the military. Don’t mix the bland with the sour here, otherwise, with your prayers for expressing your opinion and objective facts, people will begin to be accused of eating babies. calm down, I’m not going to feed the trolls and, let me recommend, before opening your mouth, take an interest in the subject of discussion.

              Blah blah blah...

              The drain is counted.

Damn, this is necessary - a shitty eatery with a payback period of 7-10 years, like a gas pipeline...

What are we smoking, my dear?

Our kids are hooked on all these Big Macs and cheesecakes. A regular sandwich with a cutlet or a muffin. Because for so long we have been taught that eating at McDonald's is prestigious. That’s why children are now frail in big cities.

McDonald's in Russia is a pure franchise. Quite expensive. That is, Vasyok with 1,5 extra Baku lemons contacts the MKDS office. with a request to sell a license. If there is enough money, he builds and equips a restaurant according to their requirements, buys semi-finished products wherever they say (they are made under the same license by left-wing Russian guys), trains the staff according to their standards, and voila. The only thing that connects them with MKD-s is the sign. If they decide to close them, the owners will simply remove the sign and put up any other one, even the same subway, because in fact they don’t have anything to do with MKD-su. In general, that’s not what this is all about, McD’s has already received all its money from the owners.

It has never happened - so far there is a sign, then only according to the rules and instructions, only from above the assortment, prices and the constant unfastening of dough to the uncle...

    Boycott Makam and Raiffeisen Bank.
Let them be consistent until the end.
I believe that we should not wait for any decisions from the Kremlin and Okhotny Ryad.
I vote with my wallet and close my Raiffeisen account.
In addition, their service has become completely bad

In general, laughter is laughter, and it’s high time to close McDonald’s. The people will become healthier. America has eaten up the meat on its burgers, and is trying to drag us along with it. Down with McDonald's!

It’s better to open canteens like in Soviet times. It’s tasty and healthy, and the food is delivered there directly from the village.

"a typical Jew!" - What are you, a racist ?!

A typical response from a typical Jew. For some reason, when they say “typical Russian,” this typical Russian does not think that a racist is addressing him. But as soon as a Jew is called a “Jew,” he immediately, looking around (like, has anyone heard), accuses his interlocutor of racism. I would like to ask: are you ashamed of your nationality, or perhaps of some typical national qualities?

We need to close American eateries in Russia. Let it be under the pretext of sanctions against the United States.

We also need to ban Coca-Cola and Pepsi.

    Give Kvass!

Unfortunately, most people only pay lip service to eating fast food! Look at the queues at these establishments!!! The longest!!! These restaurants don't have to be closed down politically. It is enough for Russian citizens to stop, purposefully and on a large scale, all together and immediately stop visiting them. This will be the end of the Mac era!
