Ukrainian army received 330 thousand dry rations from the US government

The last batch of assistance from the US government was delivered to Ukraine for units of the Ukrainian armed forces.

"In general, it amounted to 25 thousand boxes with US MRE dry rations, which is about 330 thousand sets," said the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to her, the cargo was handed over by a representative of the Department of Defense Cooperation at the US Embassy in Ukraine, Major Alexis Scott. On the Ukrainian side, humanitarian assistance was received by the head of the department for the implementation of international treaties of the main directorate for military cooperation and peacekeeping operations of the Armed Forces General Staff Colonel Alexander Ostrovsky. "The American dry rations will soon be distributed to military units of the logistics of the armed forces," said Ostrovsky.

Earlier, the official representative of the US Department of Defense, Rear Admiral John Kirby, answering the question why this kind of assistance was chosen, replied: "They asked for it."

As for the rest of the request for military assistance, which Ukraine turned to the United States, it continues to be studied, the rear admiral said.

"From the point of view of various departments in the United States, attention should be paid to non-combat components," the Pentagon representative said.

You guys shouldn't mock the Ukrainian army. Our friends serve there. And the Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Crimea did not shoot at ours, thank God, and for the most part went into service in the Russian Armed Forces.

Are we kidding you? The supply of such “food” by their command is truly a mockery and a slap.

    Ugh... This is somehow weird...
The country must feed its own army, otherwise it will have to feed someone else’s army.

Why laugh at the poor? Judging by the news, such dry ration is a delicacy for them. Now they have a repeat of our 90s. Only in accelerated mode. In the fall, the Rada is shot from tanks (that arrive). By winter, they accept our conditions for federalization in exchange for gas goodies. And in 15, as it should have been, a new president was elected.

    - Why should we be surprised if just a few years ago their newly minted SBU officers received their diplomas from the hands of (attention) the ambassador of the United States of Mattress Makers. My eyes are popping out of my head! The country's security service receives diplomas from the ambassador!!!! What the hell is this? They have been in the tail and mane for a long time. And they are all Putney Moscow Moscow Putin.

Business in the American way: they give us hemp, and we give them dry rations and “noodles” about multi-billion dollar aid.

I can't laugh. Let’s put the Ukrainian Armed Forces at 100 thousand people (roughly). Is that 3,3 rations per citizen?

Bon appetit, the main thing is to stay healthy! Many years from now, when we gather around the common table again, it will be fun to remember how the Russians deceived the Americans and buried them with 5 billion dollars allocated for the collapse of Ukraine, and at that time the Ukrainians also ate them for 300,000 rations! Whoever said that the Union collapsed, we simply disguised ourselves.

I think this is a very illustrative example of the “successes” of Ukraine. America supplies dry rations for the army to a country once famous for its grub. No words...
I haven’t tried foreign dry ration, but I have tried the Soviet one from the 80s.
In our unit, instead of stewed meat, the dry ration included porridge with meat: buckwheat, pearl barley, and maybe even rice. When cold it's so-so, but if you warm it up it's a very tasty thing. The bread was white, canned in alcohol - just the thing to hammer in nails. A couple of times in the canteen they made mashed potatoes from canned potatoes - no one would eat them, they threw them away.

But after the American ration there is nothing to eat, it’s very convenient!

Food in the USSR army was completely normal. If anyone decides to sell, I will be happy to buy a couple of boxes of stew from the reserve. And the potatoes are not canned, but dried. If the cook is not a good person, then the mashed potatoes are not good.

Russia also needs to send humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian army. It will be cool))) And at the same time it will show that Russia does not perceive Ukrainians as opponents.

    I read the article.
    My findings:
    1. I don’t understand, 330000 kits for a daily or one-time appointment? Our kits are for a daily appointment.
    2. I see a drawback of our kit - once you open it, you will be carrying it around in bulk, because the kit is designed for three times a day.
    3. In terms of packaging and packing, our kit today is very similar to the NATO kit twenty-five years ago.
    4. In terms of taste, our current ration is superior to the NATO ration of twenty-five years ago (do not confuse suitability), I ate both.
    5. I wouldn’t want ours to turn into the current adversary over time.
I understand that few people will read my comment, but at least I spoke out.

Judging by the video, they sent some kind of crap in rations, apparently there really is a crisis in America.
Sometime in the nineties we received humanitarian aid of the same kind. They had some left over after the desert storm, so they sent it to us so as not to throw it away. So then there was a lot of tasty and healthy stuff there. I remember the peanut butter and the real Colgate toothpaste (I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere else)
Domestic packed lunches are very good today, ours can do it if they want.
