From the base Hmeymim flew to Russia a military transport worker IL-76, on board of which are 160 military personnel engaged in the logistics of the air group, reports MIC with reference to the message of the Ministry of Defense.
“The servicemen who left Khmeimim performed work at the air base on refueling and transporting fuel, water and aviation ammunition, food supply and food preparation, as well as tasks for bath and laundry services, maintenance of equipment and communications of the air base, "- said in the message.
It is noted that "the decision to send them to the place of permanent deployment was made in connection with the withdrawal of the main group of troops and a reduction in the volume of work."
In addition, the An-124 aircraft flew from Syria, which will deliver to Russia "sets of various equipment and X-NUMX helicopters of the Mi-3 helicopter, carrying out the tasks of protecting the Khmeimim airbase."
