Why is there no monument to the soldiers who died in Chechnya?

Police summed up the 2 August celebrations on the 81 anniversary of the creation of the landing troops.

The biggest fight took place in Astrakhan. Former paratroopers came to the city market, where mostly Caucasians trade and organized a pogrom there. Those resisted. In the course went sticks and stones. In the melee, bruises and wounds were 20 "fought", and most of the attackers themselves and the police. 12 "fighters" were hospitalized, and 25 "heroes" were taken to the station to cool down.

In Kazan, the recent "demob" number around 70 trashed the market and fought with the sellers. 40 Delayed.

In Lipetsk, the “blue berets” decided to sort out their relations with the police, since Caucasians did not come to the market, as in many cities, on that day. Without thinking, the guards called for the help of riot police. Those who arrived, floated the batons, put on the asphalt a dozen and a few dozen rams, then pushed them into the paddy wagon.

As regards the experience of Moscow and the northern capital, there have been no special incidents. Hooligan tricks quickly suppressed, thus avoiding major slaughter.

Now let's ask a few questions. Why do we actually legalize one day in a year when ex-paratroopers are allowed to do riots on the streets? What kind of privilege? For special services to the Fatherland? For the performance of special tasks of the party and the government?

Is it possible to celebrate this day without riots, calm and dignified? It turns out you can. I saw it myself, for it brought me a journalistic path for the holiday of the Airborne Forces in the Ural city of the miners Kachkanar.

People's Memorial

One can argue how “correct” it was to start it in the Temple with the prayers of Elijah the Prophet, who is considered the patron saint of the airborne troops. But for the first time in all the years of celebration, they began with a prayer service, to which the “blue berets” came with their whole families.

And then in the park near the Memorial to the dead soldiers a traditional rally was held, which was opened by military commissar Peter Blinov. Music sounded, and the announcer solemnly called the names of the Kakkhanarians, who gave their young lives in the performance of military duty. In Afghanistan and Tajikistan, in Chechnya and other regions ... 39 surnames are carved on the granite slabs of the Memorial.

And then laying a garland of fir branches and flowers. Young paratroopers of the military-patriotic club "Vityaz" carried it and laid it at the foot. And now they themselves froze, like marble, in the guard of honor.

“... Traditionally, from the very early morning, cars with flags and flags of the Airborne Forces drove around the city,” Kachkanarsky worker wrote in a report. - Every year this holiday attracts more and more young people, all citizens, and therefore we can say that the day of the Airborne Forces becomes a citywide holiday for us. Paratroopers from neighboring cities also come to him, who are openly jealous that Airborne Forces Day in Kachkanar is celebrated so harmoniously and harmoniously. ”

So why is it possible in Kachkanar, but not in other cities and villages?

One of the reasons that lies on the surface is not in Moscow and the regional centers of such a Memorial as here. There is no place, actually, to go yesterday to paratroopers, frontier guards or contract servicemen to honor the memory of comrades who died in peacetime arms.

- We erected a monument using the “people's construction” method after the default in 1998, when no one had any money - they told me in the local branch of the Union of Russian Paratroopers. - They collected what is called a penny. People tore the last from themselves. Granite ordered in Karelia. And now a special, holy place has appeared in the park. Today, the Kakkanarians go here to honor the dead children who sacrificed their lives for their Motherland. Schools conduct tours. After the wedding with the flowers, the newlyweds come ...

You sit on a bench, you overhear inadvertently, as mothers quietly coo, and you understand their main concern. And she is in that not to get their son to serve in the North Caucasus, where recently there was a war with Georgia. How many children of ours were killed!

The Afghan campaign is far away from these women. The children of soldiers and officers who had fought there already served. And the third - the North Caucasian War - it is near. And she has no end in sight. Every day there are explosions thundering and killing someone.

And somehow it was so broken in the minds of many of the Kakkhanarians that this Memorial was above all in honor of the children who died in Chechnya. Not only in the first war, but also in the second ...

Name on the obelisk

- Maybe you stay, Volodya? - wiping the corners of her eyes with a handkerchief, Valentina Vladimirovna asked. - It is possible to serve here. We'll have a talk at the draft board.

“No,” the son firmly answered, hugging his mother. - I promised the guys to come back, so I must go. Serve as it should and come back. In May, demob - you know.

Six months before the end of the service, the 20-year-old commander of the BMP crew, sergeant Vladimir Dyuldin, was encouraged by the command to take a short vacation home. The joy of mother and father knew no bounds. But 10 days for them flew like one minute. Talking about being transferred to a military unit nearby, the son swept aside from the threshold. And they understood that with the taking of the oath their power over him was over.

But he did not return. Soon he stopped writing altogether. Month is another ... And here is the real war in Chechnya. Finally, tormented, she wrote to a military unit in Vladikavkaz: where is my son? Why not write home? The answer struck at the very heart: your son, Sergeant Duldin VA, left the unit without permission and is listed as missing.

Only the mother's heart is able to recognize the false in such a breech-indifferent lines.

It was here that the thought was born: to go and figure it all out. Just how much money to go on a long journey? My husband, the bus driver, was detained for many months. And in her pharmacy, where she worked as a pharmacist, she received a very small salary. But it was the native team that came to the rescue.

And although 15 years have passed, Valentina Vladimirovna remembers that nightmarish trip in detail. How humiliating they were with the husband at the checkpoint, because none of the officers of the company wanted to talk to them. How literally they broke through the duty officer and came straight to the parade ground with their suitcases, where the commander of the unit conducted a review.

“And then lies started,” says the mother. - Left - did not come. And she soon pulled out a confession from them: he did not escape from the unit, but was lost along the route of the convoy from Vladikavkaz to the Chechen city of Chatoy. That was in December 1994, they were being prepared for the assault on Grozny. I say: "Take me to the place where my son disappeared." They reluctantly answer: “A column of armored vehicles will soon go in that direction. IN tank will you go? ”

Left her husband in parts, she sat in the car. Bruises on each bump your head about something fighting. Thank you guys from the crew gave the helmet. In general, we found this place in the mountains. They say: right here, on a steep climb, the BMP of Sergeant Duldin broke down. The column went ahead, and he and another soldier, a Caucasian, were left to guard the car. And when they returned for them - there is not both. That soldier returned to the company, but Volodya did not. Where, when and where he disappeared, I still could not find out from anyone.

... For many years, a grieving mother fought for her son's honest name. For removing from him the stigma of the “self-ruler." To recognize him dead during the counter-terrorism campaign in Chechnya.

I looked at this simple Russian woman and wondered: where did she have so much courage and strength? One, without any help, collected a mountain of certificates and testimony and won a lawsuit from the Ministry of Defense. The court found Sergeant V.A. Dyuldina dead in military service.

History her victories instantly spread around Kachkanar. And according to the resolution of the City Duma, the name of V.A. Dyuldin was knocked out at the Memorial in honor of the soldiers killed in the performance of military duty. And these names - 39, about each you can write a book.

It is better debauches?

And by itself, the question is born: why the leaders of the country will not erect in Moscow the same monument to the soldiers and officers who died during the last decades while fulfilling their military duty? Accidentally or not by chance? And you hear such an answer from the Kakkanar veterans of the Airborne Forces: apparently, not by chance. For the Kremlin and the White House, it is better if the Blue Berets will arrange 2 of August for drunken fights in the parks, on the streets and in the markets, than to ask "damn questions".

For example, why did they shed blood in Afghanistan, why did they leave there if today the Americans are hosting it? The Yankees, who opened the airway through Russia, in a "sign of gratitude" flooded it with heroin, which kills thousands of young guys a year to 100. This is more in 6-7 times than the fall of Soviet soldiers and officers in Afghanistan during the 10 years of the campaign.

Or: for what did the Kakkanar guys and their peers fight and die in the “self-proclaimed republic of Ichkeria, if the state budget today pays billions of“ contributions ”to it, which far exceed the subsidies to other regions? Today, “pacified Chechnya” behaves like a winner, flourishes and multiplies, unlike the rest of dying Russia.

No, such questions to Kremlin celestials seem to be completely useless. And therefore, "to anything" and a monument to soldiers and officers who died in military conflicts in peacetime. There is no need for the people to be reminded once again of those killed in Afghanistan and Chechnya and killed today in the North Caucasus.

And therefore, on the day of the Airborne Forces, the authorities turn a blind eye to the “extremism” of the raging “winged infantrymen”. And even criminal cases about “inciting ethnic hatred” on this day are not brought against them ...

On the second of August I was passing through in Saratov. There, in Victory Park, there is an obelisk for soldiers who fell in local wars, a modest, but not bad, obelisk. True, there were no paratroopers near him, several of them at the other end of the park walked near a German self-propelled gun, for some reason calling it a tank. (The military equipment of the times of the Second World War is exhibited in the park).

In Russia, a lot of what is not and will not be. This must be taken as given, and not snotty. There is no obelisk, or a monument in the capitals of our country, Moscow and St. Petersburg ........ no ...... but in other cities of Russia there are. Even ...... in Chechnya, in Grozny there is a street named after the 6th company of the Airborne Forces. It is clear that politics, but there is. These are the pies.

I agree with the author of the article and with the atheist.
It was the Day of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. They settled in the first Chechnya - February 15th became the Day of the Internationalist Warrior, where they stuck to everyone who had once defended the interests of the state and its integrity with arms in their hands. What for? But because the authorities are inconvenient to recall separately the war in the Caucasus. Therefore, there are no monuments.
About the rowdy "winged infantry". I just have a lot of friends and comrades-in-arms paratroopers. But they are already 40-45 years old. They will never go to disgrace themselves by drunk bathing in the first fountain they come across, beating the faces of people from the Caucasus, etc. They also respect my professional holiday - the Day of the Tankman, congratulate me, fry meat together, raise our glasses. And where is the work of Sozov paratroopers, veteran organizations, of which there are a dime a dozen in every little town? Where is the command of the Airborne Forces? Everything is left to chance!
