Russia creates an anti-pro system

In early October, the sensational news - “New Russian sea-based cruise missiles, the deployment of which Putin announced at a recent meeting in Novorossiysk,“ nullify ”American power and nullify Washington’s military superiority in the huge geopolitical region from Warsaw to Kabul, from Rome to Baghdad.” The article was called "Putin's rocket surprise"and its content really pleasantly surprised. We will not quote the entire article, we will pay attention only to those facts that led the author to such sensational conclusions. The first and main fact is based on the statement of the commander of the Black Sea fleet Navy of the Russian Federation, Admiral Alexander Vitko, that the new missiles that will be armed with the new submarines for the Black Sea Fleet have a range of over 1,5 thousand kilometers. At the same time, the admiral answered Putin’s question and, naturally, that the information that reached the ears of the correspondents was specially intended for them. Admirals do not pronounce military secrets. That is, it was a signal. The signal, which was given in a certain context, which spoke about the need for a breakthrough of the Russian military-industrial complex in the field of high-precision weaponsand also about new threats related to the development of the missile defense system and the approach of its structures to the borders of Russia. At the conclusion of the author, the new Russian missiles will nullify these threats. Such important conclusions need to be checked and at the same time to check all the initial data for them. And it is possible to draw other conclusions ...

So. About rocket and submarine. Of course, we are talking about the famous "Varshavyanka" - a diesel submarine of the 636 project, but rather thoroughly modernized - the project received the number 636.3:

In total, the Russian Navy plans to build six diesel-electric submarines of the 636.3 project at the Admiralty shipyards for the Black Sea Fleet. Three are already under construction - the head submarine B-261 "Novorossiysk" (factory number 01670), the second - B-237 "Rostov-on-Don" (01671) and B-262 "Old Oskol" (01672). Rear Admiral Vladimir Zakharov, retired, noted that “six Varshavyanok can be a good start to retool the Black Sea Fleet, and then, you see, Lada will be brought to mind.” According to the Black Sea Fleet Commander Rear Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov, this union will take six 2017 boats into service by the 636 year: “We will get the first three hulls in 2014, one boat - in 2015, and two - in 2016, to form a full-fledged brigade. They will be based on the naval base Sevastopol and Novorossiysk.

So it was planned, and today the head submarine “Novorossiysk” has been in the fleet since August, this was reported in the media. Submarines of the 636.3 "Varshavyanka" project belong to the third generation, have a tonnage of 3,95 thousands of tons, a speed of 20 knots, a depth of 300 meters, and a crew of 52 people. The boats are very quiet, for their secretiveness the boats of this project have received the name "black hole" in NATO. They are armed with torpedoes of the 533 caliber of millimeter (six vehicles), mines, the Caliber missile, which is considered the highlight of the project (in the export version, this complex is called "Club-S"). A torpedo tube is used to launch rockets; no special launchers are needed. By itself, the boat is very good, significantly exceeds Western counterparts in performance and is indispensable for the defense of the coastal zone. But here the rocket complex with the new rocket gives the boat a completely new status. Since the claimed range in 1,5 thousands of kilometers makes it a very powerful weapon greatly expanding the range of its application. Previously, such weapons were placed only on multi-purpose nuclear submarine cruisers - a very expensive and powerful weapon, significantly affecting the overall balance of the armed forces and strategic plans. Now, however, conventional diesel-electric submarines began to possess strategic weapons. Suffice it to say that being in the waters of the Black Sea, such boats can hit targets in the Mediterranean. Including such large ones as an aircraft carrier. But that's not all, the Caliber missiles are universal and can hit targets on land. That is, the whole of Europe can be under the gun of rockets from this sea platform. This, in fact, was discussed in the article that I quoted from the beginning. And it’s not just limited to new submarines; such launch platforms are the small missile ships of the 21631 “Buyan-M” project, being built for the Caspian flotilla.

Rocket launch from the ship "Grad Sviyazhsk"

Before 2018, nine such ships are planned to be deployed in the Caspian flotilla of the Russian Federation, but so far only three have entered. The ships are small, with a small draft, which allows walking along the Volga, but the designer managed to fit vertical launchers for 8 missiles longer than 6 meters into their superstructure. For the Caspian flotilla, the ships look quite harmonious, but there is the same incident - there are no targets in the Caspian Sea for their missiles, but rockets can reach the Black Sea and its coast. The ships have a displacement of just 950 tons, but carry as many 8 Calibers. Which greatly increases their status as a weapon. The ships themselves are also quite good, made with the latest stealth technology, with a new remarkable gun mount and air defense systems. But the highlight again become rockets "Caliber", reaching out to many countries in the Middle East and Europe. The Black Sea Fleet is also planned to be replenished with such ships, and this will significantly affect the overall distribution of forces in the region - again, because of the new missile weapons.

The logic of the deployment of such weapons is understandable - since NATO places missile defense bases near the borders of Russia, these bases also need to be kept under the gun. And it would be easy if Gorbachev had not signed an agreement on medium and short range missiles:

On December 8, 1987, a Soviet-American summit was held in Washington, during which Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan signed the indefinite Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), which entered into force on June 1, 1988. The parties to the treaty pledged not to produce, test or deploy ground-based ballistic and cruise missiles of medium (1000 to 5500 kilometers) and short (500 to 1000 kilometers) range. It should be noted, however, that this classification was finally introduced only by the 1987 treaty. Prior to its signing in the United States, ballistic missiles were divided into intercontinental (over 5000 kilometers), medium (from 500 to 5000 kilometers) and shorter (from 150 to 500 kilometers) ranges. In the USSR, until the mid-1980s, operational-tactical missiles (from 1 to 500 kilometers) were also allocated. In the United States, tactical (operational-tactical) missiles had a flight range of 1 to 150 kilometers. In 1987, a new classification was finally established. Therefore, as applied to the period up to the mid-1980s in historical works, it is legitimate to use both classifications.

Under the contract, we destroyed 1846 missile systems, the US - 846 complexes. What makes doubt the equivalence of such an exchange. Medium-range missiles held the whole of Europe at gunpoint. Now they are not there, that is, we can not threaten Europe. And while Europe did not threaten us, everything was in order. The situation has changed with the deployment of missile defense bases in Europe. Although they are formally defensive in nature, they devalue the Russian nuclear potential, which was balanced with the American one. And this is getting a one-sided advantage, Russia is forced to react. Since the negotiations fail, here is the answer that Europe received. New missiles. At the same time, Russia did not violate the INF Treaty - new sea carriers. The United States, when they signed the INF Treaty, had a significant advantage in precisely such carriers and therefore took them outside the treaty. Today, Russia is trying to turn this situation around. So the conclusions of the author of the article about the "rocket surprise", although they look too sensational, still have a logical basis. But to somewhat disappoint readers - because the author was based on only one "proverb" Admiral. A "proverb" about the technical data of the new Russian missiles were before. And the range indicated is completely different:

The Yevsen-class 885 class Severodvinsk nuclear submarine nuclear submarine will be equipped with Kaliber supersonic cruise missiles with a maximum range of over 2,5 thousand km, which are unparalleled in the world, a source in the Russian military-industrial complex said on Tuesday.

And this “proverb” was noticed by everyone’s beloved Wikipedia, which often distorts information on political and historical issues, but with regard to Russian weapons it tries to be as accurate and complete as possible. A sort of spy database, updated by all informed people. So the characteristics of the new rocket may be different. But in order for disappointment to come more and stronger, I’ll add fire to the gasoline:

X-101 cruise missile

TTX new air-launched cruise missile X-101 I specifically copied from the documentary film shown on TV. After all, no one will accuse me of divulging military secrets? You ask - what have the X-101? There, the engine is the same - DTRD RD-95TM-300 with kgN weight 500 (according to Wikipedia). For people who did not skip physics at school, comparing the weight and fuel, it becomes clear that the "Caliber" should have a similar range ... Of course, there is a difference - if you run from a height of 10 thousand, the rocket will fly farther than if you run from under the water, from Varshavyanka ... As a physicist, I understand that the range will be different. Part of the fuel will go to climb. What part? Let the 20 rocket minutes rise in height from the 5 flight hours ... We subtract this part from the range. Let it be 4500-5000 km ... Such an "disappointment" will get an educated reader from the published data. Agree, it gives even more urgency of the situation? The rocket did not reach the level of strategic ones. A nuclear warhead there is quite appropriate.

Launcher 9В2413 for the soil complex PK-55

But we’ll add more details that will give a completely specific taste to the cooked “dish”. "Caliber" is the development of the Soviet still missile system C-10 "Grenade", the development of which was carried out by the SMKB "Novator" under the leadership of the chief designer L. V. Lyulyev (the history of this design bureau can be found in the site library). Even then, his KS-122 rocket (Navy URAV Index: 3М10) had a range of 2500 km, it entered service in the 1984 year. It had the ability to start from a torpedo tube (underwater launch). She was the Soviet response to the American Tomahawks - cruise missiles with a range of up to 1600 km. The latest modification of the “Tomahawk” has a range of more than 2500km, so talking about the range of the descendants of the “Pomegranate” stands precisely in the direction of more long-range options. The C-10 complex also had a mobile ground version of the launcher - 9В2413 for the RK-55 “Relief” soil complex.

These launchers were destroyed as a result of the Treaty that Gorbachev signed. But the marine types of the missile complex continued to exist - they were armed with multi-purpose nuclear submarines of the 971 “Shchuka-B” project, 6 from this series of boats still in service. And most likely they are armed with the already modernized versions of the Grenade, that is, the Caliber.

What else may differ new missiles from its predecessor in addition to increased range? The Novator design bureau, which developed the rocket, has long been selling an export version of the complex for a variety of versions: "Club-U" is a modular complex for installation on ships, ensuring defeat of surface and ground targets, "Club-S" is an option for submarines launched from torpedo tubes, "Club-M" - mobile coastal complex and "Club-K" - container performance of the complex. The latter has a remarkable masking effect - the complex can not be distinguished from the standard container for sea and rail transport. There are many thousands of them on the roads, container ships carrying hundreds of such containers aboard. How to detect such a goal? All intelligence "on the ears stand." And there is one more remarkable innovation seen from the export version of the rocket.

Rocket 3М54E rocket complex Club

The new 3М54E rocket retains dimensions, wing plumage, launch and propulsion engines, part of the control system, part of the body from the old 3М10, but a new combat stage, taken from the 9М82 anti-aircraft missile, was converted from conical to cylindrical. As a result, the rocket became supersonic in the final part of the trajectory! The main part of its path, the rocket flies in an economical mode at a subsonic speed of 800-900 km / h, and for 20 km before the target, an anti-aircraft missile with a powder accelerator breaks out of the hull, which accelerates the rocket to 3000 km / h. As a result, it is almost no chance to knock it down.

Mobile coastal complex Club-M

And the export version differs from the version for the native armed forces only in a strongly shortened range - up to 300 km. Imagine how offensive it is to the Chinese who buy boats and ships with such a complex, but with rockets only 300 km away? Ten times worse. But 300 km are not only shown here for export ... After all, if you load a missile with a range of 4,5 thousand kilometers into a coastal mobile complex, it will violate the terms of the INF Treaty! And I will ask - what's stopping the “non-export” version of the missile from being loaded into the launcher of the “export version”? And we can formally adopt the "Club-M" with a range of 300 km? But who will check the real range of his missiles? I believe that Western experts already puzzled over such a prospect. And we will soon receive the appropriate accusation - Russia is violating the INF Treaty.

However, its violation has long been logically justified - since the United States has withdrawn from the missile defense treaty unilaterally and surrounded Russia with missile defense bases, Russia's withdrawal from the INF Treaty is the natural answer - it is a weapon against missile defense bases and their floating variant - the destroyers Aegis. Russia, in the event of war, will be forced first to destroy the medium-missile defense system of the United States with medium-range missiles, and then launch strategic ballistic missiles. This is an obvious logic, and it is fully justified by the aggressive actions of the United States. And it is clear that Russia did not immediately reach such a decision - negotiations on missile defense went a long time ago. It has long been preparing such an answer. Is he completely unexpected? Yes, Russia does not yet advertise such a decision, while the naval deployment options for missiles allow for a formal compliance with the agreement. But the next step will be obvious, especially since it will not significantly change anything in the scenario - Russia de facto has medium-range missiles, which are completely universal and can be placed even in a container. And no one can be sure what missiles are located in it.

Club-K - container version of the launcher

And the masking effect of the container performance "Calibrov" is another special plus. After all, Cuba can already be stuffed with such containers! What did Putin agree on when he traveled to Cuba? Rosneft will start producing oil there, Russia will supply the 4 power unit for thermal power plants and all sorts of little things ... But the main thing is that "Russia is interested in building ground centers for its GLONASS system." And not only in Cuba. They are in Nicaragua put. Let me remind you that the primary task for such navigation systems is a guidance system for precision weapons. Including for the same "Caliber". And it will be completely unsurprising if there will be a dozen containers near these stations. With the "equipment". And besides such stations, we are talking about the creation of large transport hubs on the island, first of all, air links. In practice, these are air bases, airfields, which will be able to receive the same Tu-160 for refueling and rest. And again, there will be containers with "equipment".

In fact, these Latin American countries can now be used as launching pads for hundreds of Calibrov. Which, I note, can be controlled from the outside. From the satellite. In Moscow, they pressed a button, and in Cuba, a couple of dozen containers would open the lids and raise launchers. And in a minute there are already hundreds of rockets in the air capable of achieving any targets in the eastern half of the United States. This threat of the United States can not be avoided. No for this arrangements. Start a war with Cuba and Nicaragua? To as a result of their occupation get the opportunity to check all the containers? But containers with missiles can be in the port of New York. On the Singapore cargo ship, but with a Russian team. Problem? Trouble For the first time since the Caribbean crisis, the United States was under such a serious threat. And, apparently, they still have not fully realized this. Although Putin gives absolutely transparent hints. Many consider this as ordinary political demagogy, but Putin very rarely talks in vain. You need to listen to him very carefully. For any reason, he gives very important and clear signals. We do not want war. But for the answer do not worry ...

In general, the surprise was a success here, and a bit more ambitious than the author of the corresponding article described. However, the emphasis here should be set differently. This is not a new threat from Putin. This is the natural response of Russia to the deployment of a missile defense system near the borders of Russia. Russia is creating its own anti-missile defense. The main target of the new missiles will be not the cities of Europe, but the destroyers Aegis from a naval missile defense system and ground-based missile defense bases in Europe.

Timely initiative. Another "surprise" of V.V. Putin for our "partners".
We continue to pleasantly surprise the "civilized world".
Now let's see how the NATO will begin to work out such an introductory.

So much for our next answer to Chamberlain, let the NATO members think now about the combat capabilities of our new missiles.

Israel has followed this path since the mid-90s. Lacking the material capabilities to acquire and maintain full-fledged nuclear submarines, we went to receive diesel-electric submarines from Germany built according to a special project. 3 are now in service, two more are entering service this and next year, and the sixth will arrive in 2017. All boats can be launched through the torpedo tubes of the Turbo-Popeye KR.

Yes, there is nothing to praise here. For the strategy of "guaranteed retaliation", several nuclear submarines would be better suited, but we cannot afford such "toys" either financially or technically.

Well, yes, for Israel - because of its small territory, it is better to find no means than submarines.

We can do this as an instrument of retribution with a number of different complexes:

                3. Underwater (surface) and air segments
                4. Various ground (mine-based).

Well, then who do you fight with? With Arabs raving everywhere, so in this case, submarines (nuclear submarines / submarines) are not required.
With Iran, well, I think you will have enough ground complexes. Although the submarines would not be superfluous for insurance. And so .......... strategically, there are no such detractors from Israel. Everything at the local level as they say.

Yes - and I also wanted to add according to the article - of course, it won’t work out as an aircraft carrier, as everyone understands - yes it does for land targets - but it doesn’t reach for sea mobile ones - there is a maximum of 300 km

It is necessary to develop a distant PCR - like the United States is doing this

This was discussed a lot on the topic of Aug Tu 22 attack - you need a missile that doesn’t enter the air defense zone - if the caliber now hit the ships at 1500 km - then the problem would have already been solved (especially since the guidance was restored using an inexpensive optical Liana - 4 satellite in my opinion)

At first glance, to improve offensive weapons in the range of small and ultra-low altitudes is a logical response to the creation of a missile defense system, which in principle is not capable of operating at these altitudes. But this is only at first glance people who are poorly versed in the capabilities of modern air defense systems. Destroying a high-speed low-altitude target is certainly difficult, but it is still much easier and hundreds of times cheaper than a hypersonic blank in space.
Therefore, the only adequate response to EuroPro can be the creation by Russia of the SCO ABM, with the prospect of creating a space security umbrella over the entire Eurasian continent.

Destroying a blank in space is undoubtedly more expensive, but technologically simpler than a low-altitude maneuverable and small-sized target, this is in the eyes of people who could better understand the capabilities of modern air defense systems ... And about umbrellas, probably the right decision, but it basically has advertising than practical value. I do not think that we should get involved in symmetrical answers. It was already. IMHO.

Israel has followed this path since the mid-90s. Lacking the material capabilities to acquire and maintain full-fledged nuclear submarines, we went to receive diesel-electric submarines from Germany built according to a special project. 3 are now in service, two more are entering service this year and next, and the sixth will arrive in 2017. All boats can be launched through the torpedo tubes of the Turbo-Popeye KR. [/ Quote]

You may not even denounce openly. It is possible, for example, to equip ground-based launchers with export missiles and present them to international inspectors (if this is stipulated by the agreement), and long-range missiles for the same installations can be stored in warehouses not subject to inspection. And re-equip installations in an endangered period. Such an opportunity for maneuver appeared.

As a physicist, I understand that the range will be different. Part of the fuel will go to climb. What part? Let the rocket gain 20 minutes of altitude from 5 flight hours ... Subtract this part from the range. Let it be 4500-5000 km ...

does not quite understand the launch of the Kyrgyz Republic with submarines.
For the start of a "rusty ax" type CD from a submarine, an additional starter is used, as a rule, solid fuel ... So it throws the CD to the height of the product 95 turbojet engine.
Regarding the range of the Caliber 1500km and PK55- in 2500km, it all depends on the amount of fuel on board, the mass of the warhead ...
Why 1500 - there is simply no particular need to have a more dimensional (long) and massive.
As for Klab with a range of 300km - it is short, i.e. smaller tanks (shorter) ... :)))
And accordingly, the SU is adapted at a range of up to 300 ...
Of course, the craftsmen are North Koreans and the same Iranians, who can easily process them over long ranges ...

I’m thinking, if we cannot use missiles with a range of more than 500 km from ground-based carriers under the START treaty, but we can only from the "sea" and from the "air", then I think submarines and ships are certainly needed, but why not build some - something, relatively speaking, a barge, well, or a type of floating dock and do not stuff vertical launch units for 250-350 missiles into it and let these docks stand in the Sevastopol Bay, in the Caspian Sea, and on other fleets. They don't even need to sail anywhere, with "caliber" and x-101 missiles they will cover both Europe and BV from the spot. And to build them will be, I think, cheaper than the same Missile Cruiser.

You will hardly go to the base, but you can easily hit from the surrounding hills. Only now the ship and its weapons are protected reliably enough. Yes, and can answer. How do you protect a barge filled with missiles? Armor? Active systems like "Arena"? SAM to poke? Will the fur coat become expensive?
Too specialized platform is obtained. It’s easier to get out of the contract on the ground, in the fortified bunkers to stick PU. With an arsenal.

Will the fur coat become expensive?
If a barge has 10-20 missiles, then it is certainly expensive. But if 200-300, and partly with special warheads, then the developed cover can justify itself. Moreover, the barge can officially pass as a floating container warehouse with insignificant spare parts, rations and other crap. Or like a US military shipping ship. They stand for themselves, "rust" at the pier. And they are used simultaneously as a warehouse.
It is necessary to cram not only Clabs into containers, but also air defense installations of various ranges, electronic warfare. And other buns that fit in the dimensions of standard containers. Then it will be possible to mobilely transfer entire complex military facilities, even by forces of various civilian transport. And railway, and cars, and ships.

The barge can be placed, for example, in the White Sea or even on Lake Ladoga, in general, in any depth from the border, and tow it off the coast on duty so that ATGMs do not get it. Just watch out for the saboteurs. It will be possible to destroy it, in the end there is nothing that cannot be destroyed, but if it starts I think it will have time to "discharge" before its destruction. And our "friends" will understand this and this will be another deterrent, and if necessary, it will respond.

I’m not so sure about this. This is not MLRS, a volley is possible only with a difference of 2-3 seconds between missiles, no less. Well, let it be 2 seconds and 150 missiles on board. In total, for 5 minutes, the barge will be enveloped in smoke and flame from launching rockets. And then the pitching will be added ... What construction is needed to withstand all this hell and flame?
And one anti-ship missiles breaking through to a similar barge and fireworks will be visible kilometers beyond 50 ...

Far more dangerous are divers-saboteurs in the water area ... here, against them, a combat watch on a ship throws hand grenades at suspicious noises and all kinds of suspicious phenomena near the side ... And periodically the underwater part is examined for the absence of foreign objects on the hull.

PS: although a barge with a CD is a good thing, especially towed or self-propelled, but the ship is better. Yes, and not much more expensive.

Do not confuse a floating dock with a barge. Dock - plunges into the water so that the steamship enters it, and then with it floats aboard. Missiles do not require such manipulations with immersion - ascent. Unless you were going to hide containers with missiles in the depths.

Our ground-based Strategic Missile Forces are surrounded by anti-ballistic missiles. Strategic Rocket Forces are essentially the troops of the last blow, retaliation, when there is nothing else left. Cruise missiles have a different purpose and have one significant drawback - their marching speed is low. So ... even if you scatter these containers all over the world, to every port and transport hub, in case of a sudden attack by the ICBMs of the USA and Great Britain (30 minutes before the apocalypse), the Kyrgyz Republic will simply not have time to remove the anti-missiles deployed in Europe and on Aegis destroyers from the road our ICBMs. Only marine ICBMs remain and their number is not so great. Pentagon hawks might think that casualties are acceptable ...

C-500 is still in trials, if I'm not mistaken. Long-range missile also in trials. The A-135 system protects only Moscow and the region. And only she is able to bring down the warhead ICBMs on the final trajectory.
And with the CD, you can cope with the usual methods - AK-74, "Igla" with "Verba", "Tungska" with "Pantsir" and "Thor", as well as S-300 with S-400, "Buk", "Wasp" and etc. to help

You can ... but just do not forget about the number of tomahawks of the enemy. Only one Ohio rearmament has their 154 pieces. There are 18 of them, more than half of them are from KR. Aegis also carry several dozen axes. Mass launch does not reflect us. There is simply not enough ammunition.
We have one option - a preemptive strike against a concentration of troops, possibly even a nuclear one.

What matters is not where they are located, but how they fly. According to the US, their interceptor missiles are capable of shooting down ICBMs just on the ascending segment of the trajectory, when the ICBM is especially vulnerable. And the SLBM for the most part "sits" under a layer of water or ice, and does not know what is happening on the surface. It will pop up for the next communication session, and there ... silence.
Indeed, while the Yankees are holding back, the damage from a retaliatory strike is unacceptable to them.

..... And the masking effect of the container execution of "Gauges" is another special plus. After all, Cuba may already be packed with such containers! ...

I believe that such a performance of "Caliber" will have its own unmasking features, usually associated with high-tech devices.
First of all - some kind of autonomous power source - and, accordingly, a source of both thermal and electromagnetic radiation.
It is also necessary to have information about the state of the rocket parameters, which means on board not only the receiver, but also the transmitter with all the ensuing circumstances. And not very powerful - that means you need staff nearby.
I'm not ready to talk about TVR "Calibers" due to ignorance of the initial characteristics, but if it is limited by conventions like + 5- + 35, it is also microclimate equipment. What will be seen on the thermal imager in this case is generally dark.
I think the designers have foreseen all this, but there is no perfect weapon. Hence, the combat use of "Caliber" in this design will require some restrictions.
Well, for example, their placement on the cargo terminals of Latin America seems doubtful.

And here are the standard containers, of which there are thousands with the current turnover. If the Americans undertake to check everything, to climb with detectors in each port, thereby slowing down the process, sailors and port merchants will simply throw them overboard and will continue to do their business. They will, of course, be unhappy that Russia, under the guise of them, carries its weapons, but in reality nobody will do anything to them.

This is all, of course, cool. But cruise missiles are never "anti-missile defense". Dear Wedmak correctly pointed out that the time factor plays the main role here. CD is too low-speed stuff. In addition, they are much more vulnerable in flight, and this drawback can only be solved by the number and expensive systems to ensure the breakthrough of the CD through the air defense system.

Medium-range ballistic (pseudo-ballistic) missiles are much more preferable in this regard.

As for anti-ship missiles, including those in containerized versions, this is the right thing. First of all, to protect the positional areas of submarine missile carriers: before launching missiles, it is necessary to disable ships with missile defense elements on board. Or at least give them a "sensory overload".

But no more than that, you should not present them as a child prodigy.

Most likely there is a Rybinsk (Omsk MKB) engine TRDD-50 (IZD. 36MT) .or RD-95TM-300 is a Ukrainian engine. Serial production in Zaporozhye. According to our characteristics, it surpasses the Ukrainian one used on the Kyrgyz Republic X-55 and X-55SM. Back in the days of Yeltsin, a decision was made on import substitution, as it is fashionable to say now.
Small GTE programs of NPO Saturn. Status at the beginning of 2008
Hindus and Israelis wanted to use it to convert the Lakshya UAV into a cruise missile. But technology transfer difficulties have arisen due to an international missile technology control agreement.
In 2007, the Russian NPO Saturn is to supply 200 small engines for Indian UAVs Lakshya. Engines with a thrust of 500 kg will be developed on the basis of the turbojet engine-50MT, originally intended for Russian cruise missiles. The flight life of the engine will increase from 45 minutes to several tens of hours.

As the commercial director of NPO Saturn, Vasily Danilov, said, the first one-year contract was signed with India in April this year, and design work is currently underway within its framework. As for the issue of transferring a license to India for the production of engines, now it is under consideration by the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation (FSMTC), which may not give its consent to transfer the license. This is due to the fact that on the basis of the Lakshya UAV, Delhi plans to develop a cruise missile with a range of 600 km, designed to carry a combat load weighing 350 kg.

Such missiles are subject to the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) missile technology control agreement. With licensed production, uncontrolled use of these engines on cruise missiles is possible.

I don’t know how it all ended. I know just in 2012. nevertheless, they planned to supply engines to India under a general contract for $ 8 billion.
There were intentions to supply these small engines to the Chinese as well.

I’ll add a bit of economics (today's review of the reasons for the events in Hong Kong in the context of the approaching raising of the US public debt level and the movement towards abandoning the dollar)

The attempt to launch the classic “color coup” in Xiangang (Hong Kong) was a surprise for many. It seemed that Washington, which had simultaneously got involved in the war in Ukraine, the sanctioned confrontation with Russia, and military operations against the “Islamic State,” is now not up to a worsening of relations with China. However, the United States took such a risk ....

There is little doubt that American ears stick out of the Hong Kong riots. This is evidenced, in particular, by the almost exact coincidence of the scenarios of the Hong Kong "revolution of umbrellas" and the Ukrainian Maidan. The PRC media pointed out that the leaders of the Occupy Central movement were trained under the programs of the American special services, and the movement itself originated in the Hong Kong-American Center. As in Kiev, the U.S. Consulate General attended the protests, and the head of the center, M. Holbrook, and Hong Kong media mogul Jimmy Lai, who financed the organization of riots in Xianggang, are close to one of the key figures in the neoconservative lobby in America, former US Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz.

Hua Chunin, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said: “We are against any outside interference and foreign support for the Occupy Central movement. "We urge the countries behind the organization to carefully monitor their words and actions - their own and their wards." And the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, in talks with US Secretary of State J. Kerry firmly made it clear that other states should not intervene in the events in Xiangang.

Washington does not hide the desire to undermine the stability of China in Washington. As if copying his statements on Ukraine, J. Kerry called on Beijing to exercise restraint towards the participants in the mass protests and allow them to peacefully express their opinions. Again, the blocking of administrative buildings is declared peaceful actions, and the authorities' attempts to restore order are proclaimed violence against citizens ...

A few days later, on October 17, US public debt will once again reach the installed ceiling of 16,7 trillion. dollars - and it will be raised again, since neither the Americans themselves nor the US creditors are interested in the uncontrolled collapse of the American economy. At the same time, the accumulation of debts cannot continue indefinitely. According to the banker and financial consultant J. Rickards, with the continuation of the existing policy, the next crisis will break out "in a year or two, but you will not have to wait six years."

Meanwhile, Beijing, rejecting Washington’s proposal to create the “Big Two” (USA - China), in September 2013 announced its own Eurasian integration project - the New Silk Road. In addition to the friendly PRC states of Central Asia and Russia, it was assumed that Ukraine would participate in this project. During the visit of former President of Ukraine V. Yanukovych to China in December 2013, an agreement was reached between Beijing and Kiev on the construction by the Chinese in the Crimea, in the region of Yevpatoria, of a deep-water port with a cargo turnover of 140 million tons per year and a deep-water channel, as well as an airport, shipyards, refineries, LNG plant and other facilities.

In November 2013, the Central Bank of China decided that “the accumulation of foreign currency no longer meets the interests of China” and hit a US financial instrument against gold, such as the virtual currency Bitcoin. The Central Bank of China issued an official statement that the country's financial institutions are not allowed to trade Bitcoin. Meanwhile, approximately 62% of the total volume of all transactions with Bitcoin in the world is conducted on Chinese sites.

One cannot but be apprehensive about the US and China’s pursuing policy of accumulating gold and foreign exchange reserves, which is regarded in Beijing as “one of the key strategies of China, regardless of whether it is required for the economic security of the state or to accelerate the internationalization of the yuan. In China, there is the Shanghai Gold Exchange, which trades at yuan. In addition, Chinese banks have adopted the new standards of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, Basel-3, according to which gold is recognized as a full-fledged financial asset, which, when calculating equity, is quoted as the most reliable treasury paper or cash. The banks of the United States and Western Europe, with the exception of Switzerland, were not ready to adopt new rules, which entered into force on January 1, 2013. The danger to the dollar is further aggravated by the significant presence in the banking capital of Hong Kong of the Rothschilds, who have long been hatching a plan to return to the gold standard , which would mean a complete collapse of the unsecured dollar. For example, in 2000, the Rothschild-affiliated Standard Chartered Bank bought the retail business of the Rockefeller Chase Manhattan Bank in Hong Kong, crowding out American rivals from China.

    * * *

Numerous risks for the US dollar existed before, but the situation around Ukraine intensified the Sino-American confrontation.

Moscow and Beijing decided to switch to national currencies in mutual settlements. In addition to the agreement reached between China and Japan in 2012, a similar decision was made for China's trade with Argentina in RMB. The total volume of currency swaps will be $ 11 billion. Russia and Russia are also taking steps to refuse foreign trade from the dollar. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the Russia Calling! Forum, the country intends to actively switch to national currencies in foreign economic settlements with China and other partners. Gazprom Neft has already carried out the first trial supply of oil for rubles to China, two to Europe. For the full transition of black gold trade to rubles, it will be necessary to create exchanges that will set oil prices in rubles, which should serve to strengthen the exchange rate of the Russian currency and weaken the oil dollar.

The latest developments in the gold market are impressive. On September 19, 2014, the first trading on the Shanghai Gold Exchange took place, in which 40 foreign companies took part. The new exchange has 58 certified repositories located in 36 cities of China. A large stream of physical gold, unlike depersonalized gold on the London stock exchange and futures in New York, makes the Chinese exchange a serious competitor. In addition, the Hong Kong-based China Gold and Silver Company (CSC) announced that it plans to build a new huge storage facility for precious metals in Shenzhen, which will bring together the gold markets of Shanghai and Hong Kong. The start of the project is scheduled for October 13, 2014. Does this not explain why Hong Kong blazed on September 30?

Due to the high security of the renminbi, the Chinese currency also receives international recognition. Thus, the UK Treasury Department announced the issuance of the first bonds in RMB, the proceeds of which will become part of the UK foreign reserves in the currency stabilization fund. The Swiss National Bank is also considering adding RMB as one of its reserve assets. In 2015, the renminbi may be included in the IMF “special drawing rights”.

In parallel, other countries are increasing their gold reserves. According to a review by the World Gold Council, over the past 6 months, Russia has increased its reserves by 54 tons and moved into fifth place in terms of gold reserves in the world. An impressive amount of gold of 24,7 tons was acquired by the National Bank of Kazakhstan. According to the representative of the Official Forum of Currency and Financial Institutions D. Marsh, the trend of gold accumulation in Russia and Kazakhstan may be part of a coordinated monetary policy. The actual size of China's gold reserves is unknown. When Beijing provides updated information on its gold reserves, it will be possible to judge the combined gold reserves of Russia, China, Kazakhstan and other SCO members.

I apologize for interfering, but someone should at least sometimes even tell the truth on such a patriotic website. Although the rocket itself is good.
The first one. As far as I know, it is prohibited to place weapons on civilian objects. And apparently this is why no one is purchasing these so-called container installations.
Secondly. None of the countries in the Western Hemisphere will ever agree that the United States would carry out repetitions of Afghanistan, Iraq and more on their territory. Examples on the face. No matter how much Putin tried to persuade them, including Cuba, no one deployed anything on their territory. Weight categories are not compatible.

The Americans have long abandoned the MRBM ... Europe is up to them. Now they are implementing the concentration of the NBU. We need to think about the MRBM in order to cover the European theater of operations completely. Since 2007 the BSU concept approved by the Congress is being implemented. This gave rise to essentially a new type of weapon called "strategic non-nuclear weapons" or SNYAS - strategic non-nuclear forces. For the Americans, these are sea, air and space carriers (more precisely, aerospace attack vehicles operating simultaneously in two environments).

[quote=Fregate]I’m thinking that if we cannot use missiles with a range of more than 500 km from ground-based carriers under the START Treaty, but can only use them from “sea” and “air”, then I think submarines and ships are of course needed, but why not build some kind of, relatively speaking, barge, or some type of floating dock, and stuff it with vertical launch systems for 250-350 missiles, and let these docks stand in Sevastopol Bay, in the Caspian Sea, and in other fleets. They don’t even need to sail anywhere, with “caliber” and X-101 missiles they will cover both Europe and BV from the spot. And I think it will be cheaper to build them than the same Missile Cruiser.

The article AGAIN presents wishful thinking... Let me say, so to speak, a “fly in the ointment” in this barrel of honey from the article... From the very beginning about containers... The secrecy of the operation with containers described in the article is SIMPLY ZERO! Why? Because in PRESENT RUSSIA EVERYTHING IS SOLD AND EVERYTHING IS BUYED... and especially STATE SECRETS... THE COMPLETE FAILURES of Russian foreign intelligence after Putin came to power IS THE CLEAREST CONFIRMATION OF THIS. The total trade in Russian military and non-military property BY THE HIGHEST OFFICIALS OF THE Russian state CONFIRMS THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF CONDUCTING EVEN ONE (!) such operation, not to mention the CONSTANT DUTY of such weapons... Further, NO STATE, even such ideologically strong ones as Cuba or Nicaragua, will risk their population FOR FREE, exposing themselves to a preventive or retaliatory strike, and payments from Russia to these states are NOT VISIBLE IN THE MICROSCOPE! So, Putin’s containerized “response” described in the article is the FRUIT OF AN UNHEALTHY (!) IMAGINATION OF THE AUTHOR of u-patriotic material... unfortunately... We have good weapons - doubts are different, well, our “elite” will not bomb their children in England and America, unfortunately, not everything depends on Putin, his column holds him in tongs, he maneuvers as best he can, but not everything is so simple. For example, Rotenberg's law; Tell you, VO readers, is it really needed? How did they quickly fix it? Right now we (taxpayers - ordinary people) will compensate the thieves who squandered their honestly stolen money from foreign banks. Example: Krasnoyarsk region, the governor has villas and houses on the Cote d'Azur, media: The Krasnoyarsk senator may lose his dacha in Switzerland due to sanctions... Do you think foreign intelligence does not know what we have here and in what quantities? Through similar Judas. That’s the kicker, we’ll be sold before we even think about using missiles.

The author of the article has an incredible mess in his head due to the fact that he picked up information about all the missiles in snatches, mixed them in his head and brought all this nonsense to us as a fact. I’ll start with a funny comparison of missiles in size, from which the author concluded that the missile is a non-nuclear analogue of the KS-122, also known as the S-10 Granat. Here you can immediately see the incompetence of the author, who does not even know that the Granat is a single-stage subsonic missile, if you do not count the launch accelerator as the first stage, and the Caliber-A 3M54 is a two-stage missile with a supersonic warhead. For the author, on his fingers - the Garnet accelerates at the launch site due to the first stage - the accelerator, then it separates, and due to the main engine with its wings opened, the rocket flies at subsonic speed to the target. The 3M54 starts by analogy, flies to the target at subsonic speed, but before approaching the target, the warhead separates, which, due to its engine, accelerates to supersonic speed, which allows it to overcome the missile defense system. It is not difficult to understand that the presence of such a warhead leads to an increase in the mass and dimensions of the missile, but not to its launch range. Therefore, to draw conclusions that the export version flies only 220 km, but for the Ministry of Defense there is an option with a range of 1,5 km is quite stupid. 3M54 does not have such a range and that’s it. Therefore, we conclude that the missile that was tested cannot in any way be the Caliber-A 3M54. Yes, this is not a variant of a missile based on the X-101, since it will not fit into a 533mm torpedo tube.

As sad as it is, we have to note that this is not a new development, but just a modernization of a product developed in the GREAT MIGHTY USSR. Previously, heads would roll if the product did not pass the first test, but now? Either it doesn’t take off, or it flies in the wrong direction, or it just explodes. And silence in response. And again everything is in labor and again budget money is requested.

The article is very good))...positive. We need more of these missiles. Not only sea-based but also air-based. It’s probably possible to stick them on trucks, somewhere in the Kaliningrad region winked The main thing is that the “liberals” - “white doves of peace” in the military top not interfere with all this. although VVP and Shoigu understand this Yes

No, my brothers, although the article is good and necessary, it’s beside the point. Considering the GLOBAL superiority of the USA and NATO over us in high-precision weapons and other types of weapons, this is a drop in the ocean. Having served for 18 years at the Central Test Site of the Russian Federation on the Novaya Zemlya archipelago, I can say with confidence that what the Test Site is doing there is the only reason the fact that the battle with the Anglo-Saxons has not yet entered the hot phase. One cannot but rejoice at the qualitative renewal of the army, but so far this is not enough. So we pray for our science and the guys who are doing the work there.

Once again I will return to the repeatedly reviled idea: it is necessary to install ballistic missiles on diesel submarines, in the context of this article - medium range, then both in terms of dimensions and flight time, the same as for the INF. There are four of them with 3 warheads on each, the dimensions of the wheelhouse fence (well, add a little) will completely fit and there will be a strategic unit at once - 12 warheads, from the Caspian Sea it will reach Diego Garcia and China, from the Black Sea - to the Atlantic, from Sakhalin - to Guam and Alaska.

The most remarkable “Anti-missile defense” is a tactical nuclear charge brought to each “anti-missile” location. The Russian Federation has more than 10.000 such charges - enough for everyone. Let this generation of “enlightened democracy” be the last on Earth.

It is necessary to constantly improve our armed forces and increase their combat effectiveness. The United States and the West are not interested in the revival of Russia and are doing their best to slow down this process. Russians can only stand up for themselves, and no one has the right to be on the sidelines.
