Summer 70 lessons. About Russia's readiness for a new Great War

27

22 June 2011, a very significant date for our homeland - 70 years ago, our civilization suffered the most terrible aggression in its entirety history. During the Great Patriotic War, according to the data of this period, we lost 26,6 million of our people’s lives, the country suffered huge material losses, the brilliant take-off of 30's was suspended, we had to restore the ruined economy of the country. The best people of the country, the passionary core of the nation, died in fierce battles.

The war became a fierce test of the Stalinist system, a test in battle of the economy, the army, fleet, people, the whole new way of the country, created in just three incomplete five-year plans. And the Stalinist system passed it with honor - it was stopped, a terrible enemy was defeated, one might say, the “beast of inferno”, created specifically to sweep away the USSR, the Red Project, and the Russian people from the face of the Earth. We can safely say that the future Victory was “forged” by their titanic labor, collective farmers, workers, office workers, managers, scientists, teachers back in the 30s. And the current attempts of the so-called "de-Stalinization" are simply ridiculous, you just need to look at the feat of our ancestors at that time. In the 30s, they actually created a new country, which "went to the Stars." And it was this impulse that the enemies wanted to stop.

But even the intensified preparation of the country for war, and the USSR leadership was well aware that there would be war, precisely for this, hotbeds of war were created in the East — Japan and in the West — Germany, did not eliminate a number of mistakes that aggravated the difficult start of the war. Although, of course, we must understand that modern warfare implies that the one who hits first has a strategic advantage - the enemy may simply not withstand the first and subsequent attacks. So, many modern analysts doubt whether Russia will withstand NATO’s sudden non-nuclear strike with the help of thousands of cruise missiles.

Technical shortcomings of the Red Army

In general, the military-political leadership did everything to make our army as technically equipped as possible, to prepare it for a “war of motors”. But there were also drawbacks, especially, they were noticeable in the field of equipping with communication and control equipment. In his memoirs, the future Marshal of the Communications Forces, Andrei Bely, noted that by the beginning of the war, due to the lack of radio stations, radio communications, including the link, the General Headquarters - the front headquarters - army headquarters, were neither organizational nor technically ready to solve problems in a fierce battle. This is also indicated in his memoirs by Marshal G. Zhukov.

Moreover, it was not only the lack of radio stations that had an effect, but the headquarters and commanders were poorly prepared for the use of radio communications. Already during the war, the State Defense Committee undertook a series of large-scale measures to remedy the situation in the field of communications and command and control.

In the same Wehrmacht, they understood the enormous importance of the communication and control system, which is why even before the start of the war and at the very beginning of the war, German sabotage units, the Air Force destroyed communication lines, struck communications, trying to disrupt control and communication. This was one of the reasons for the heavy defeats of the initial period of the war. Communication problems were in tank troops and the Air Force of the Red Army, so, according to researcher Mikhail Baryatinsky, out of 832 new T-34 tanks available in the western military districts by June 1, 1941, only 221 tanks had a radio station, and their quality was still not the best. A radical change in the field of communications in the tank forces took place only in 1943. The tanks also had other technical drawbacks - sights, a small engine resource.

In the field of the Air Force, things were not so good with reconnaissance aircraft - so, until the end of the war, an aircraft did not appear for reconnaissance and adjustment of artillery fire, an analogue of the German Focke-Wulf 189. This aircraft was used in the Wehrmacht for other purposes: monitoring the movement of its troops, for constant observation, aerial photography of areas, aerial reconnaissance of the enemy’s defensive positions.

He led the Wehrmacht at the beginning of the war in the field of radio intelligence, which gave advantages for preparing strikes on the most important elements of the military command and control system. The Soviet Navy also experienced problems with communications, radar, naval reconnaissance aircraft, minesweepers and their equipment to successfully search for mines, rapid-fire weapons for air defense ships.

Combat experience

The most important reason for the difficult situation in the initial period of the war was the combat experience of the enemy - the Wehrmacht was more active than the USSR, fought in Spain, and practiced his “deep operation” in practice, although this idea was first developed in the Soviet Union. The Wehrmacht crushed the army of Poland, Norway, Holland, Belgium, France, defeated the British expeditionary forces, defeated the armies of Yugoslavia and Greece. Although the Red Army was involved in a number of companies — Hassan and Khalkin-Gol, it helped the Chinese government against Japan, but still individual cadres received combat experience, not the army as a whole.

Hence the psychological factor - the Germans were the army, "tasted blood", they killed and won. These victories finally convinced them that they were “supermen,” “superior race,” unparalleled on the planet. A psychological factor is of great, even decisive importance in battle.

Controversial points in assessing the outbreak of war

According to a number of modern authors, such as S. Brezkun (Kremlev), Y. Mukhin, one of the main reasons for the defeat of our troops at the beginning of the war was the betrayal of a number of high-ranking military leaders, among them the leadership of the Air Force and the Special Western Military District. Like, Pavlov actually did not bring the units entrusted to him into combat readiness, which led to a terrible defeat in the central strategic direction.

In principle, the arguments they cite are quite weighty, for example, the border guard subordinates to Beria were on full alert and greeted the terrible hour of the start of the war. Withstood the blow in the north and south-west. The orders of Moscow to disguise airfields and major military facilities were violated and not executed, the planes were crowded and so on. That is, these authors conclude that the “fifth column” in the USSR, although noticeably “cleaned”, still retained its potential and dealt a blow at the beginning of the war.

It turns out that so far the overwhelming majority of the population of our Motherland does not know the whole Truth about that war, especially about its beginning.

Modern Russia and its readiness for a big war

Patterns of historical development suggest that any global financial and economic crisis caused by the capitalist system itself, which exploits people and drains the resources of most countries in favor of its privileged part, eventually leads to a world war. And the current world is at its doorstep.

The only question is where the main fronts of this war will lie. A number of factors speak for the fact that there will be two main fronts: one is in fact open - the North is against the South, and the second will be in the Asia-Pacific region. Russia is in direct contact with all of them, that is, it is doubtful that Russia, which was its main participant in all the main wars of humanity or in the group of main participants, will stand aside.

But is modern Russia ready for war? If the USSR in 30-ies was intensively preparing for a big war for its survival, in the Russian Federation, on the contrary, over the last 20 years they have done almost everything to lose in this war: the army has been reformed almost without interruption since the times of Gorbachev, and as a result our army such a state that it can be called "defeat without war." In the same short-lived war of August 2008, it became clear that our army again had problems with communications and control. In the defense industry, it was possible, due to military sales abroad, to preserve some of the potential, but the situation is generally deplorable - the industry is not able to produce large quantities of weapons, that is, in the case of large losses of existing equipment, there will be nothing to compensate for them. The disgusting situation in the field of educating the population of the Russian Federation - more than 20 has been largely disintegrating for years, introducing individualism and other attitudes leading to the loss of people's unity in the face of a common threat. Inside the country, there is a powerful "fifth column", which is virtually not struggling.

Conclusion, modern Russia, unlike our Homeland of the 1941 model of the year, is not ready for the Great War. And if in the next few years the same titanic efforts are not made as in the 30s, we can simply suffer a civilizational defeat, having lost the proud name of Rosov, having betrayed all the generations of our ancestors who transferred these lands and their wealth to us.

    A. Samsonov: "... Inside the country there is a powerful" fifth column ", which is actually not being fought against ..."
Who to fight with? This fifth column actually usurped power! She is fighting with us, and we are with her?
War is inevitable as long as only the nuclear umbrella is holding back. But the United States is making every effort to remove the Russian umbrella. He's already full of holes! The fifth column also helps, turning this umbrella into a sieve. It is naive to believe that Russia will be able to avoid the wars that have begun in the Middle East by observing "unequal fights" from the outside. Sooner or later they will come close to its borders. Russia is really not ready for war. So far, it is only ready for self-destruction. Will the Russian people come to their senses, understanding the threat hanging over their heads? There is still time, but it is dramatically decreasing. You don't need to be an analyst to realize that a global conflagration is on the way.

Atovr is right, the Russian Federation is as weak as ever. A huge number of refugees are leaving for Canada, the USA, Europe. The rest of the people turned into a drinking and smoking redneck. Drug addiction and not good humanity have made the AIDS problem truly daunting. You look at ordinary guys and you are horrified .. girl-like youths or muddy eyes ... People have turned into a consumer who has his own homeland on a drum. And politicians, knowing that they can crush any jump and a journalist, do absolutely everything they want. Any protest or phrase on the Internet is immediately suppressed and condemned, calling it the machinations of the enemy. Although the worst enemy than they themselves can not be found in the whole world.

Well, why lie like that? In the Red Army there was not enough radio station? Compare the number in the German and Soviet divisions. Hitler's company commander did not have a radio, but Stalin did. They write 50 percent short of them. Even if so, well, no less than the Germans. Difference the fact that there was no political instructor near the German radio operator. Here the warrior began, the division commander opened the seif, opened the "Red packet", and there the order was "to change passwords, frequencies and codes." torn, the nationalists killed the feldieger, the Germans were in the yard, and the commissar did not allow the division to call and ask for help. So regiments and divisions died for the smell of tobacco because of a fan of the political instructor. She took the radio from the NKVD Army, this is the main reason for the tragedy of 1941.

    War is inevitable
If you do not combine the resources of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, if you give the Central Asian republics to the Pindos, there will be no chances. The countdown is already underway. Edge 2014-2015 And so at any "suitable" moment, however, the architects of the "new" world (the prototype of the Reich) do not expect weather from the sea, but actively control the processes. 2015 is the year of our minimum nuclear missile potential, by that time a new missile defense system in Europe will be built. Conclusions: the best means of defense is attack. You should keep the Pindos on a short bridle and have the Kuzkina Mother next to the shores of their vast ocean, it is better to lay a few near the tectanic faults, to be sure. Well, in case of exacerbation, do not clatter with freaks. And for those who went over the hill among ours - advice: return. I don't know how plausible this is all, but the hope warms that the enemy will be punished, because the USSR had at one time Kuzkin's Mother, and it is to her that we can be our life and freedom.

And what does the author think of the Great War? The ground operation of the invasion of Russia?
The current situation in the world is fundamentally different from the situation at the end of the 30s-1941. It is senseless and ridiculous to carry out parallels. If we take only the degree of readiness of the army to repel an attack, then sorry, as it does not seem strange, but most of all to a full-scale repulsion of an attack on For example, the United States or China are not ready for their territory. The degree of Russia's readiness for war is slightly higher than that of the United States and China. Strangely ask, no. Yes, for the first time since the 30s a full-scale and radical reform of the Russian Armed Forces is underway, but we started it before the US Army and even more so China. They did not even admit the idea of its beginning, although they need it no less than we do ... The US Army, in its organizational and strategic form, tactics of warfare, was formed in the mid-40s. Vietnam made minor adjustments and that of a local nature, such as improving the methods of warfare in the jungle and improving the performance characteristics of weapons. They have no changes either in the organizational-managerial or in the strategic-methodological terms. "Wars" with Grenada, Somalia, Iraqi - the first time and the second, did not give anything significant in terms of experience. And the war in Afghanistan against the partisans, without using the opposing side of aviation, BTT, artillery, etc., on the contrary, dulls them and calms them down. Although they have reasonable soldiers, they sound the alarm and try to get through, but they are all to no avail. The last time the Americans adopted a NEW: aircraft - F-22 - almost 15 years ago, gun mounts - almost 30-40 years ago, air-to-air missile systems - 20-25 years ago, air-to-ground - 30 years , surface-to-air - air defense - Patriot - in 1987-89 Modernized because Patoriot himself was developed back in 1963. They wrote about Abrams. According to my information, the United States is not developing or testing anything new - only the further modernization of Abrams.

    Continue.
UAVs are good for scaring the shepherds with the Boers, but in serious battles they are practically useless. I am silent about China. They are trying to re-arm at an accelerated pace, but without the technological base, design traditions and schools, they will have to copy someone else’s for a very long time. Now let’s recount our NEW, which is being developed and is being adopted slowly.
Russia will complete the rearmament by 2020, but they have not yet begun.
And for the calm implementation of the necessary reforms and modernization in the army and the country, we have the means of nuclear deterrence and a minimum of very combat-ready units and units capable of destroying an army of several tens of thousands of people in a matter of hours. For a day - with a population of one hundred thousand, for a week - a millionth. Easy.
The causes of a possible war are resources. They are located in the depths of our territory, just to defeat our troops is the second thing. It is also necessary to occupy us. For many years, if not decades. I dare to assure you, gentlemen, that only aliens are capable of this and that if they destroy the entire population of Russia.
Let's go without alarmism and self-flagellation. But you don't need to suffer from harshness. The army is a very closed structure, therefore, the speculations of even respected authors, disrespectful "ononlitegs" like Ivashov, Sivkov, and a couple of dozen other pensioners-critics should not be taken seriously

Vladimir There is logic in your analysis, but does it not recall, even partially, the June of 1941. The supply of single weapons to the troops, their inability to use them (and what can be learned during the year of service, and the lack of motivation for the defender, are more than serious factors. Or do you seriously think that in the case of the Great War, the aggressor will act in the style of chivalric novels. The Germans were also considered a sentimental nation, they loved Schiller and Wagner, but they came and began to burn alive. You yourself say that they need our resources and the minimum required population for their extraction. As for the occupation. Even after the destruction of 5 columns, the percentage of traitors was quite high. And for 20 years we have been driven into the heads of youth that patriotism is bad, that you need to think only about yourself, that the Motherland is where they pay more. I have a friend of Dagestan. In our Caucasus, military service has always been considered an honor. And he says that he will not let his son into the army. And he is not alone. I will express my opinion. If in 41 we did not have the society that is so actively blasphemed now, then Victory would hardly have been ours. Agree that occupation is possible only when occupying the territory of the country. Great Britain, the United States didn’t fight at all, but the 6-millionth French army flew into dust in a matter of days.

Vladimir - give an example of at least one really significant applied military development created in Russia over the past 20 years ??? SIMPLY AN EXAMPLE ... And then let's recount our NEW ... what did not count?
Maybe our self-sufficient teams can wet 100 per day at a time?
Well, if the TNW is thrown back, then only the MLRS systems remain (about aviation with airplanes and helicopters we are silent for now, if it’s all if there’s no stagnation, then it’s still very far to combat condition - or the simulators have already been brought in and in such a short time we managed to stamp first-class flyers and snipers ??? OUR means of nuclear deterrence so far only make it possible to fail with impunity one military reform after another.
By the way, it is in closed structures that it’s very easy to hide the ends in water and hide your incompetence - a paradise for thieves in modern conditions.
Your comments on "F-22 - almost 15 years ago, gun mounts - almost 30-40 years ago, air-to-air missile systems - 20-25 years ago, air-to-ground" - 30 years, surface-to-air - Air defense - Patriot -in 1987-89 "- clearly will not stand up to criticism when examined in more detail ... READ MORE SEVERAL LETTERS AFTER THE ABBREVIATION OF THE PERMANENT NAME OF THE BATTLE SYSTEM, and you will get to the technological level of the product itself.
I here go in "whiners" (not to be confused with an alarmist) that the situation in the army is in regression - dissuade me, I will be grateful, I really need a significant positive about the army.

41 years in no way reminds. Compare 1) the international position of the USSR, 2) the situation in Europe, the political regimes of European countries in which more than half were reactionary-pro-fascist, 3) the level of military-technical weapons of England, Germany, France, USSR, i.e. the quantitative component of the threshold for war, 4) the economic crisis, lasting since 1929 and most importantly-5) the ideological confrontation of two civilizations - the USSR and the West as a whole, incompatible for the modern existence of the ideologies of socialism, fascism and its parent - liberalism, and much more .
In order to put the latest weapons into the troops, it is necessary to carry out a number of necessary measures, to solve difficult primary tasks, such as infrastructure, TRAINED personnel, coordination of all types and types of troops already on new types of equipment, control, communications, teach commanders, commanders, soldiers. Here we put the troops of 500 t-50. So what? The technical support is not ready, the technical staff is not trained, there are no pilots who can fly a plane with military use, there are no suitable conditions for its storage, maintenance, operation, and even the little things like observing the secrecy regime. There are no tasks that it will solve. From the beginning of rearmament to the mass operation of new weapons directly in the troops, it takes from 7 to 15 years. This is true all over the world. Not just Medvedev was worried about military training, this was preceded by long work to study the level of readiness of the military to use the latest weapons, on the sidelines there was a whole rout for the commanders in charge of the military educational area. The Union fell apart, nothing was done in the 90s. From 2000 to 20004, all the achievements of our scientists over the past 50 years were analyzed, tested and revised, the unnecessary was thrown out, the necessary was left and is being worked on, some more are being developed in the prototypes.

Vladimir. Ready to compare. 1) There are no allies. A little bit ready for an alliance Belarus, and we push it away, and Venezuela and Cuba are pure nominal. 2) The current European regimes, of course, are somewhat different from the pre-existing ones in ideology, but they do not differ in any way in their attitude towards us. Sometimes you also need to read the foreign press. After all, she writes with a view to profit and to her reader, who gives this profit. 3) It is not worth comparing the quantitative and qualitative level of non-nuclear weapons of NATO and Russia, because it is known. For operations in Chechnya and Georgia, troops were gathered from all over the country. There was no control over them. 4) What, the current crisis has not touched us? 5) Ideology. Here you are probably right. And in the 90s and now it makes no sense to fight with us, because our powers-that-be give everything away anyway. But appetite comes with eating. When the American people live worse, and we do not want to give away our national wealth even cheaper, it will take a "small victorious war." In one thing, you are definitely right. While our nuclear forces are not yet completely "dead", they will think before starting it. As for the petty provocateurs from the Baltics and Georgia, they are unlikely to engage in provocations on their own, without support.

    Continuation. Here is no laconicism!)

A comparison with the 41st year should begin first of all with the foreign policy situation. The world is bad, very. But not to us. USA, England, Europe. Extremely bad threatening situation. The economies of these countries are steadily going down and inevitably they will collapse. The question is not whether this collapse will happen or not, but when.
The United States and the West as a whole moved away from our borders, if you take a closer look at the map and mark the "situation" in 2004 in red. They are no longer in Ukraine, Georgia, the Baltic states, they are leaving Afghanistan, leaving Iraq, abandoning plans to attack Iran. This is global. They gave us their space. If they did not start a war against us in the 90s, when there was the most favorable period for this in the last maybe 300 years, when we were ruled by pro-Western politicians, then now they will not dream of this even in a nightmare. The West is afraid that Russia will start to take care of itself. That is why they are escalating the situation, all sorts of political analysts and experts urge us to get involved in the Great Games with the West, undress again, save Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, Zaire and Honduras. This is not our field. In Libya, the US faced the EU. Let them fight. And what do we need there?
Once again, I want to remind you of such a weighty argument as our nuclear weapons, tactical nuclear weapons, from Iskander missiles to nuclear artillery shells, nuclear landmines, etc. Do not hesitate, in the right period a large number including nuclear landmines will be deployed on the territory of the aggressor country . And maybe for a long time all this is there. There are many secrets that the Americans also know (guess). And do not dare. It’s easier for them to go with us to the division of the world, spheres of influence, having entrusted part of global control to us, but we won’t go for it yet. According to serious experts, this will take another 10-15 years, but we don’t need it. The collapse of America will lead to chaos. Those that they now control will step out of custody and begin to bullish, as they say in their regions, and this is a probable war Colombia-Venezuela, Pakistan-India, Japan-China, Japan-DPRK, Japan -UKorea, Iran -Saudi Arabia, Israel-Syria-Iran-Egypt. They will only get squeezed within their borders, leave from where they came in 91 and everything will be fine. We will always agree with the USA. They are afraid of small provocateurs, such as Georgia, the Baltic countries, even Ukraine. And nuclear weapons are not necessary with these comrades.

DMB, Chechnya has shown that our youth is beautiful and worthy of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers.
Well, if they drink beer (no less than we, by the way, in the 70s, we still drank port, then porches ...) and go to clubs (we went to discos more). And the people, that the people. Then they were less literate and less patriotic, by the way. They just didn’t talk about it out loud. It was in the Moscow suburbs Fritz bread and salt met. and in the western regions of Ukraine and Belarus, the Baltic states, our military personnel were killed in this way until the end of the 50s. 70% of the surrendered were volunteers. So everything is relative under the moon.

About the youth who fought in Chechnya. I agree one hundred percent, because I was there and I can talk about it. But there was a better and a smaller part of it. And unfortunately, due to the mediocrity and betrayal of the leadership of the state of non-training, this best part was knocked out. Yes, I have little doubt that God forbid war, youth will behave the same. But if she is not trained to fight, then there will be so much blood that the 41 will be remembered more than once.
