According to the press service of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, in the course of the military operation against supporters of federalization in Slavyansk and Slavyansky district 13, April one person died and nine people were injured. 2. Russia does not need the southeast of Ukraine

Ay what good fellows. And why didn’t they scratch before? Something tells us that Kiev will not scratch even now - even after receiving money from the EU and the US (more precisely, the IMF). There will be better money for money, but why pay with these Russians, against whom the whole West is set? The West will easily agree that non-payment is like sanctions.
As you know, April 1 Alexey Miller (head of Gazprom) said that the price of Russian gas for Naftogaz Ukrainy is rising from 268,5 to 385,5 dollars for 1 thousand cubic meters. The fact is that due to debts, the discount granted in December 2013 is canceled.
A few days later it turned out that this was not an April Fool’s joke. Gazprom decided to cancel the one hundred dollars discount per thousand cubic meters of gas that Ukraine received in 2010 under the Kharkiv agreements in respect of the rent for staying in Sevastopol of the Black Sea fleetwrites RBC. And as a result, from April 1 of this year, the price of gas for Ukraine rose to $ 485,5 per 1 thousand cubic meters. On April 11, Vladimir Putin said that the situation with Ukraine’s non-payment of gas debts had become completely intolerable, which is why under the contract Gazprom was depriving Ukraine of all discounts. Putin also recalled that the deadline for payments for March of this year came on April 7, but Kiev did not pay a dollar out of 540 million. Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov also joined in with comments. He warned that Ukraine could be transferred to prepayment if it does not pay off gas debts in the near future. He said: “Ukraine, unfortunately, does not pay us at a low price - $ 268 for 1 thousand cubic meters. m, and at the contract price, which arose on April 1 ".
According to Gazprom’s estimates, Kiev owes $ 2,2 billion to gas. That's not all: by the end of this year, Kiev can accumulate debt in the amount of $ 5-6 billion.
And Kubiv means that Ukraine will pay all bills. Well, take it and pay it, since “there are no other options”!
As for the “scythe and the stone,” it’s about the fact that Ukraine believes that the Black Sea Fleet is on its territory.
RBC cites the words of the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, Yuriy Prodan, who on April 9 stated that the country is ready to pay for Russian gas, but with a discount:
"Ukraine insists that the Black Sea Fleet is located on the territory of Ukraine, and therefore the gas discount must operate in accordance with the Kharkiv agreements."

4. A few more words about the civil war
Let's return to Slavyansk. The expert believes that such geographical “exclusivity” is a fatal mistake of the Kiev junta. 5. Let's sum up
The so-called Kiev authorities are doing everything to split Ukraine into two. The incitement of civil war is their own business, and not at all by the “Muscovites” who allegedly inspire insurrections in the “republics” that have appeared and are preparing for a quick invasion tens of thousands of soldiers on the border. The security forces from the western regions and with them the “Right Sector” is a kind of internal fascism in Ukraine, which means ideologically not the same as the war of the Reds with the Whites in Russia, but it can easily outgrow the civil war of the East with the West. And in this war, Russia, apparently, will have to support the East, and the US and the EU will support the West.
Therefore, the words of Lavrov that Russia does not intend to include the south-eastern regions of Ukraine in its structure, since this contradicts the interests of the country, it should be recognized as wise. Russia does not need war. And even more so the war with the West. Already the Crimea is a heavy burden for the Russian (full of holes, by the way) budget. And the very first military actions of Russia on the territory of Ukraine the whole West unequivocally recognized as an act of aggression against an independent state.
As for the program of counteracting the Kremlin at the present stage, it was, of course, thought up in the White House. Barack Obama does not want to lose the five billion dollars that were spent on the democratization of Ukraine. But it’s unpleasant: he gave money, and Russia got the Crimea. Obama and congressmen do not want to buy comrade Putin the entire Ukrainian south-east. Financial sanctions can therefore be expanded - and will hit primarily on the raw materials and banking industries (as the most vulnerable).
And, of course, any excuse — like, for example, the events in Slavyansk — will be used to wage the information war against Russia. Washington and Kiev will blame Russians for everything.
