Bulletproof equipment for service dogs

15
Today was at the Innovation Day of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation, where he got acquainted with the exhibition expositions presented there, prepared by defense firms and research teams. I present an overview of the most interesting exhibits. I decided to start with a bullet-proof equipment for service dogs, which has six (!) Protection classes. In particular, the animal is protected when firing an enemy with a TT pistol.
This outfit provides protection for the service dog against cold weapons, small arms bullets, splinters, other striking elements. An individual adjustment of the body armor on the dog's torso is provided. The equipment does not limit the freedom of movement of the animal, does not complicate the performance of official tasks. Removable signal elements of reflective material allow you to identify the belonging of a service dog to a specific unit.

As you can see, a miniature video camera with a high resolution is fixed on the dog’s head, the image is fed to the transmitting unit secured in the equipment pocket, and then transmitted via a protected radio channel to the operator’s receiving LCD indicator, which allows the animal to be used for reconnaissance, monitoring of the situation, inspection explosive objects and assist deminers in mine clearance.

It could well be useful for searching for militants in the North Caucasus, until we learn how to use for this purpose Drones.

PS Well, how do you like this outfit?

I like. The main thing is that the dogs defended well! Particularly pleased with the six classes of protection.

PS or is there something better?

stupid defense, the meaning of it, if the dog's legs are torn off and half a muzzle? anyway euthanize ....
And what is the distribution of energy of a bullet or a fragment when hit in the armor? An adult has bruises on the floor of the body, but will the dog survive? not break, so grind everything under the armor ...

Well, damn it, tell me why a person needs a bronik, if his legs are torn off and the floor of his face will be decomposed anyway.

I wonder how much this sowing ammunition will weigh? Dogs, after all, are not horses either ... but in general the idea is correct .. if someone cares about us, then it is necessary to take mutual care of him too ..

However, it’s a good tendency when we started thinking about dogs, but I think we need to think about horses too! I remember at one time everyone wrote about fighting dolphins!

And where is this miracle to be used? Mine clearance still will not save, it will only interfere. Protection from shots and cold steel, and we started to set dogs on people for a long time? Yes, and when the hostages are released, dogs are also not used. not shot.

and we began to set dogs on people for a long time

So it’s like all the service dogs that are in the PV, that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is trained on people - not to kill, but to immobilize (by chewing wink )?

So this does not mean that the dog every day and the whole shift is engaged in this. Some for all service only during training do this.

Everything is fine, but I would equip a real shepherd and a specialist dog handler nearby. Dogs are my weakness ..)
