The American press makes it clear that 300-km ATACMS missiles were transferred to Kyiv for attacks on Crimea and the Crimean Bridge
The American press “explains” what directives the Kiev regime received when providing ATACMS long-range missiles.
Let us recall that in March, as it became known a couple of days ago from the same American press, Biden decided to transfer about 100 such missiles to Ukraine, some of which had a so-called “single” warhead. Previously, the Americans transferred ATACMS to the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a range of no more than 140 km and exclusively with a cluster warhead. If you believe the American media, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already used missiles from the new batch to strike Dzhankoy and Berdyansk.
Now the US press is stating that the Ukrainian army “will be able to use long-range ATACMS missiles to strike targets on Russian-controlled Ukrainian territory, in particular the Crimean Peninsula.” They are trying to declare that the regions of Russia, which were such before 2014 and 2022, “are not allowed to hit.”
The main emphasis in American press reports is that with the help of ATACMS missiles with a range of up to 300 km, Ukrainian troops “will be able to deprive Russia of the conditions for the military use of Crimea.” In particular, American generals speak directly about this.
If we analyze all these statements and assume that the Kyiv regime was indeed not given permission to use the 300-km ATACMS for attacks on Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh, Oryol, Bryansk, Rostov, Smolensk and other regions of the Russian Federation, to which it is weapon is able to “reach out”, it turns out that the main goal is Crimea and, specifically, the Crimean Bridge.
It should be recalled that several months ago a recording of negotiations between senior Bundeswehr officers about how many Taurus missiles might be needed to destroy the Crimean Bridge was leaked. But the Germans are not giving the Taurus to Zelensky, and therefore the United States decided that the Kiev regime could cope with the bridge without German missiles. For this purpose, they approved the delivery of a batch of ATACMS with a single warhead. It is missiles with a range of up to 300 km that give the Kyiv regime the opportunity to hit the bridge connecting Crimea with the Krasnodar Territory.
Accordingly, one does not need to be an incredible level of forecaster to assume that the enemy is preparing large-scale attacks on targets in Crimea, and first of all, on the bridge across the Kerch Strait.
