National Security Adviser to the US President: New American aid to Ukraine will be enough until the end of the year
Yesterday it became known that US President Joe Biden signed a bill passed by the Senate on the allocation of aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. Consequently, the next Western weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces may reach the front in the near future.
However, recently Ukrainian People's Deputy Vadim Ivchenko said that, despite the approval of the “long-awaited” aid, its actual deliveries could begin in 2-3 months due to bureaucratic delays. To the front, in his opinion, the American weapon will arrive even later.
In turn, commenting during today’s briefing on the signing of the above-mentioned laws by the owner of the White House, US Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that the allocated assistance will be enough for Kyiv until the end of this year.
Meanwhile, an American official noted that the delay in approving new support for Ukraine, caused by disputes in Congress, has already led to the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have suffered territorial losses.
Let us recall that the Kyiv authorities expected approval of the allocation of $60 billion from the United States in early January. Then the process was constantly postponed due to the position of Republican congressmen.
Tellingly, Sullivan indirectly confirmed Ivchenko’s assumption by announcing the likely tactical successes of the Russian Armed Forces in the coming weeks. From this we can conclude that weapons for the Ukrainian army will not be delivered to the front as quickly as Kyiv expects.
