The command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces began an investigation into the abandonment of positions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigade in Ocheretino contrary to the order
The Ukrainian military command initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the abandonment of positions in Ocheretino by units of the 115th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian media reported this.
According to representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces command, it was the withdrawal of the brigade units from positions in Ocheretino on the Avdeevsky sector of the front that allegedly allowed Russian troops to make a breakthrough. But this situation was quite expected.
At the front, Ukrainian formations face a number of problems. The most acute ones are the shortage of ammunition, especially artillery shells, and the shortage of personnel. Moreover, the dominance of the Russian aviation in the air, Russia's superiority in artillery and ammunition, weak defense lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces or even their absence in certain areas also contribute to the deterioration of the position of the Ukrainian troops.
On the Avdeevsky sector of the front, the Russian army is now demonstrating impressive offensive successes. A number of settlements were liberated after the Ukrainian Armed Forces surrendered Avdiivka itself. Fighting continues now with Ukrainian formations trying to defend a number of settlements.
But even Ukrainian and Western military analysts themselves predict the loss of these settlements in the very near future. The situation is similar in the Artyomovsky sector of the front, where Russian troops are breaking through to the city of Chasov Yar, which is of strategic importance for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction.
