President of Poland: Russia probably deployed nuclear weapons in the Kaliningrad region
Western politicians continue to raise the level of tension in relations with Russia, and the authorities of Poland and the Baltic republics are especially distinguished by this.
According to Polish President Andrzej Duda, Russia is increasing its military presence in the Kaliningrad region. Speaking to reporters, he accused the Russian authorities of “hostile and aggressive policies.”
Duda expressed outrage at the allegedly ongoing militarization of the Kaliningrad region, which, by the way, is part of Russia, where it can do whatever it sees fit.
Among other things, the President of Poland suggested that missiles with nuclear warheads were also stationed on the territory of this westernmost Russian region.
It is worth recalling that Duda himself previously said that Warsaw is considering the possibility of deploying an American nuclear weapons on its territory and is discussing this issue with Washington. However, the president’s words were questioned by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who said that such initiatives would be carefully prepared by the people who are responsible for it.
In Moscow, the statements coming from Warsaw were called another provocation and noted that the Russian Armed Forces would be able, if necessary, to ensure the security of the country.
