The exercises took place under the personal leadership of Kim Jong-un; during the maneuvers, the “Trigger of Nuclear Weapons” integrated control system, as well as the “Volcano Alert” warning system, were used. According to data provided by KCNA, during the exercise, the military hit a target at a distance of 352 km with a projectile with a “simulated nuclear warhead.”
During the maneuvers, the fighters of the unit, which is armed with super-large rocket guns, unanimously released jets of fire to destroy enemies and hit a target located on an island at a distance of 352 km
- says the KCNA message.
The DPRK leader called the exercises successful, and compared hitting a target with a missile to being shot from a “small rifle” due to the accuracy of the hit. In his statement, Kim Jong-un emphasized that the exercises were a warning to the “enemies of the DPRK,” among which he mentioned the United States, South Korea and Japan.
Recently, North and South Korea have conducted a number of military exercises, including near the dividing line. Both sides accuse each other of preparing for the attack.
