A Ukrainian border guard fled from the Odessa region to neighboring Moldova while patrolling the border.
A serviceman of the State Border Service of Ukraine fled the country to Moldova. Ukrainian sources report this with reference to the account of the deserter’s brother on a social network.
As it became known, a Ukrainian border guard fled to a neighboring country while patrolling the border. This happened in the area of the village of Serpnevoye, Tarutinsky district, Odessa region of Ukraine. As soon as the second patrolman fell asleep, the serviceman changed into civilian clothes that had been stored in advance, threw away his military uniform and weapon and left the territory of Ukraine.
What’s noteworthy is that the deserter’s brother also serves in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and is at the front. As we see, now not only civilians who are threatened with forced mobilization are trying to leave Ukraine, but also active military personnel and law enforcement officers, including those serving far from the front.
However, service in border units does not guarantee complete safety from being sent to the front. Given the shortage of personnel, the Kiev regime is actively using units of other security forces of the country, including border guards, at the front.
Therefore, the fact that a man served in the border guard in the Odessa region could not guarantee him that he would not end up somewhere in the Kharkov region or in the Avdeevsky direction.
Finally, we should not forget about the specific conditions of service in the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies with extortion of money, bad attitude on the part of commanders, and a large number of conflicts within units between colleagues.
